Primordial Red Goblin

Chapter 112: What Is That?

So I decided to keep explaining myself to her.

"After a few generations my descendants will be able to breed with their own race. I plan on hiring teachers to educate my children to be civilized and productive members of society. I plan on hiring instructors to train them to defend themselves against the green goblins and anyone else who intends to harm them" I said.

"A goblin race capable of having female children." Elyndra whispered to herself.

"Yes." I said.

"This is incredible. How long are the pregnancies and how many at a time?" She asked.

"So far every woman that has gotten pregnant is carrying four children. According to my healer wife they are on track with a forty week pregnancy." I answered.

Elyndra looked at the stomach of each of my wives before standing and approaching them.

"May I?" She asked with her hand hovering over Sarah’s stomach.

Sarah looked at me and I nodded. Sarah then nodded at Elyndra. Elyndra put her hand on Sarah’s belly and it began to glow. After a few seconds she pulled her hand back and moved to Lucy, then to Amber. When she checked Amber she gasped.

"Girls. They’re really girls." She said.

"Lilly is carrying girls as well." Amber said.

Elyndra looked at Lilly and held her hand out to her and Lilly nodded to her. She put her hand on Lilly’s belly and checked her.

"This is incredible." She said.

She then stood up and turned to me.

"This is also incredibly dangerous for your family if Skree finds out." She said.

"That’s what Cornelius said about my race being natural enemies with the goblins." I said.

"No, if Skree finds out about the existence of female goblins he will steal them and breed them. He has always resented the other races for having females of their own. If he finds out there is a new race of goblins that can have females he will lose his mind." She said.

"Noted. Do you have any ideas on how I can prevent that from happening? Cornelius said he is one of the more powerful Primordials." I asked.

"I will have to speak with my parents before I can make any promises. But I suggest you stop hiding in plain sight. I’m sure you can sense my aura and Cornelius’s and how it’s different than others. All Primordials and their children can sense each other. A Primordial’s grandchild cannot sense us. If Skree or any of his allies sense you there will be a problem." She said.

"Since all of his allies are monster races wouldn’t the city be the safest place to hide my family?" I asked.

"For now. But you need to establish your own State. A nation of your own. One with walls and an army capable of defending against hoards of monsters." She said.

"I was planning on going deep into the western forest to establish a settlement for my people. But there are a few things I haven’t worked out yet." I said.

"Like what?" She asked.

"First I need the funds for materials and labor. Second, if I leave the city I don’t want to leave the sisters or the children behind. I was actually wondering if I could get permission from the church to take them with me." I said.

"Hmm. The sisters are bound to an orphanage. To take them with you there will need to be an orphanage for them to be assigned to. And if you want to take the children of both orphanages you will need an especially large orphanage for them." She said.

"I agree. But I need permission to take them first." I said.

"And what about the orphanages you already have? Will you abandon them?" She asked.

"No. But the sisters who already agreed to have my children will need to be assigned to the orphanage I plan on building in the forest. I can’t leave them in the city to give birth if I’m in the middle of the forest building a hidden settlement." I said.

"I can work with that, but I cannot release you from the two orphanages without drawing attention to you." She said.

"I understand." I agreed.

"As for funds. Where do you stand with that?" She asked.

"I have over seven thousand gold, over fifteen thousand silver, and nearly thirty thousand bronze." I answered.

"That might be enough to build a small village." She said.

"I can get more from the orcs in the forest." I said.

"True. And I don’t know of any Primordial children in the western forest so it should be a safe place for you to hide for now." She said.

She turned and sat back in her seat.

"I must speak with my family. Keep the medallion of my family. If you ever visit the kingdom of Viridia it will grant you safe passage anywhere in the kingdom." She said.

I stood and nodded my head before putting my helmet back on and leading the girls out of the temple. I helped them back into the carriage and sat down.

"Where to now?" Asked the driver.

"Just drive around so we can see the sights." I said.

"Yes sir." He said.

We rode around the city for an hour before I saw a sign with the image of a goblin.

"What is that?" I asked.

"One of many goblin farms in the kingdom. They breed captive goblins with slave women and charge people to kill the offspring in a controlled environment. Many wealthy people use this method for their children to unlock combat classes and level up safely before joining the adventurer guild. They also sell a lot of goblins to the arena." The driver said.

"Stop there. I want to ask some questions." I said.

"Really? You want to visit a goblin farm?" Sarah asked.

The driver pulled into the farm and stopped at the main building.

"Stay here girls." I said as I jumped out of the carriage.

"How can I help you sir?" Asked an employee of the farm.
