"Normally I would sell this set for eleven gold. But, since you remind me of my lovely wife I’ll make it ten gold even." He said.

"Really? You would do that for me?" I asked.

"Yes, why not?" He said laughing.

"So that is ten gold for this set and six gold fifty for my set?" I asked.

"That’s correct." He said.

"Can I try mine on first?" I asked.

"Of course there is a changing room down that way." He said as he pointed.

I took the set of mithril armor into the changing room. Since I wasn’t used to putting on armor it took me half an hour to get everything put together properly. I then looked in the mirror on the wall of the room and checked it out. I turned and stood in every position and looked from every angle I could think of and no matter how I looked it looked amazing. I picked up the helmet and put it on and inspected it too. Now every bit of my body was covered by the armor. I took the helmet off and walked back to the counter.

"I absolutely love it." I said.

"That’s great to hear young lady, it looks perfect on you." He said.

"Do you have any swords to go with it?" I asked.

"Of course I do." He said as he walked to another wall and pointed at a rack of mithril swords.

I looked through the swords and chose two of the short swords and returned to the counter.

"I will take these two swords." I said.

"Excellent choice, these are two gold each." He said.

I removed twenty gold fifty from the storage ring and placed it on the counter, then I put Erik’s armor into the ring.

"Oh, I got so excited I almost forgot. Do you buy used armor?" I asked.

"Sometimes let me see what you got." He said.

I removed the armor from the ring and placed it on the counter. He inspected each piece carefully, turning each piece over in his hands and running his finger along the seams.

"I can give you one gold twenty for all of this." He said.

"Okay, deal." I said.

He took one gold twenty out of the money I gave him for the armor and handed it back to me.

"Pleasure doing business with you young lady." He said.

"Same, you have a wonderful day." I said as I put the coins back in my ring along with my new helmet. I left the shop wearing my fabulous new set of mithril armor. Once outside the shop I noticed a temple of the Goddess and decided to go ask the priestess some questions. Once inside the temple I found the priestess and approached her.

"Excuse me, priestess. If you’re not too busy can I ask some questions?" I asked.

"Sure young lady, I have a few minutes free. How can I help you?" She asked.

"I am to be married soon and I was wondering if my husband to be can wear his armor during the ceremony. He is a warrior and has received many injuries because of his profession. Because of that he tends to keep his face hidden from others. Would that be okay?" I asked.

"Of course dear. We have no problem with a man wearing his armor during the ceremony of marriage, it is actually a pretty common occurrence since a man’s armor can sometimes be the nicest outfit a man has these days. Have you registered and scheduled you marriage yet?" She asked.

"No priestess, that was my next question. How do I do that?" I asked.

"It’s simple, come with me dear." She said as she turned and began walking down a corridor.

I followed her into a nearby office where she pulled a sheet of paper from a drawer.

"Fill this out and pay a fifty bronze donation to the temple and we will then schedule a date for the ceremony." She explained.

"Oh really? It’s that simple?" I asked.

"Of course dear." The priestess said as she smiled.

"How soon can we have the ceremony?" I asked.

She walked over to the desk and opened a calender book.

"We have an opening at the second hour after noon the day after tomorrow." She said.

"Yay" I shrieked excitedly.

"Sorry. I got a little too excited. " I said as I looked down at the floor.

She laughed for a couple of seconds.

"There is no need to apologize for being in love dear." She said.

I quickly filled out the form. It was a simple form that asked for both of our names and whether or not a bride-price was involved.

"Why does it ask about a bride price?" I asked.

"Oh, because by law if the bride-price hasn’t been paid by the time the ceremony is scheduled to begin we can not perform the ceremony." She explained.

"Oh, well we are both orphans so that won’t be a problem." I said.

"Will you be having guests? By law there must be as least one witness to the union, and since I will be performing the ceremony I don’t count as a witness." She said.

"Oh no, we don’t have anyone." I said with a little pout.

"That’s fine dear, you can pay one of the other priestesses to be the witness for an additional twenty bronze." She said.

I perked up at that news.

"Okay, we will do that." I said.

I finished the form and paid the price for the ceremony and the witness and left the temple. Then I walked toward the gate stopping at a food stall to buy some kabobs for me and Erik before leaving the city. I walked back to the forest where Erik was waiting for me and the moment I saw him I ran and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him harder than ever.

"I’m so happy." I said after I broke the kiss.
