Primordial Red Goblin

"I’m so happy." I said after I broke the kiss.

-PoV: Eric-

"Did you enjoy yourself?" I asked after Sarah pulled back from the kiss.

"Yes, yes I did." She said.

Sarah took the storage ring off of her finger and handed it to me.

"Here is your new armor and the leftover coin." She said.

I took the ring with one hand and grabbed her hand with the other and spun her around to checkout her new armor.

"That armor looks absolutely amazing on you." I said.

"Thank you, now try yours on so we can see if it fits." She said.

I took the armor out of the ring and started putting it on, with Sarah’s enthusiastic help of course. Once I had put all of it on She began walking around me to check it from every angle.

"It looks almost as amazing as mine." She said with a silly grin on her face.

I took one of the empty storage rings off of my finger and handed it to her.

"What is this for?" She asked.

"You should have your own storage ring." I said.

"Thank you." She said before giving me a quick kiss.

I checked inside the ring and took out one of the mithril short swords and inspected it.

"This is a nice sword." I said before handing it to Sarah.

She swung her new sword a couple times before storing it in her new ring.

"Oh, I went to the temple and talked to the priestess. I told her your were a warrior who had been injured in battle and didn’t like showing your face to people and asked if you could wear your armor during the marriage ceremony. She yes said and that a lot of men actually wear their armor during the ceremony, I guess expensive armor is a sort of status symbol for rich people." Sarah explained.

"Oh? That is good news." I said.

"Also I scheduled our wedding for the second hour after noon the day after tomorrow and I already paid for it." She said with a smile that reached both of her ears.

"What? We really have to wait that long?" I said.

Sarah started giggling at that response.

"So how does a marriage ceremony work in your human world?" I asked.

"Well, that depends on how much you want to spend. We need to get rings at the very least. And I want to wear a dress, not this armor." She said.

"Then that is what we’ll do." I said.

I took the coin Sarah brought back and added it back to the rest of my coins, then I checked the coin pouches I took from the three humans killed by the orcs and found an additional forty-seven silver and one hundred twelve bronze and added it to the rest of the coins. My new total is twenty-three gold, two hundred four silver, and five hundred nineteen bronze coins.

"But first, we will go into the forest so you can test out your new armor and sword on some goblins." I said.

"Really? Do you think I am ready?" She asked nervously.

"Don’t worry, I’m not going to make you fight a whole group of them. I will put you somewhere safe and I will bring them to you one at a time." I said.

"Okay, I can do that." She said.

We put our helmets on and went deeper into the forest and walked until I could hear some goblins.

"You stay here and get your sword ready, I will go get a goblin and bring it here." I said.

Sarah nodded and summoned her sword from her ring. Then I ran towards the goblin noises. When I got close I ducked behind a tree and looked for a lone goblin. When I spotted the easiest one to grab I snuck around until I got close and sprung out grabbing it from behind, covering it’s mouth with my hand so it couldn’t scream. Then I returned to Sarah.

"Now, the easiest way to kill them is push your sword into their throat at an upward angle into their brain." I explained to Sarah.

She nodded at me and I let go of the goblin. It immediately charged toward her. She tried to stab it in the throat like I said but missed and her blade cut the side of it’s neck. Even though she didn’t hit where she aimed the quality and sharpness of her blade was still enough to open a pretty deep gash in the side of it’s neck. The goblin fell to the ground holding it’s neck trying to stop the river of blood flowing out.

"Now finish it, quickly." I said.

Sarah stepped forward holding her sword in both hands with the blade pointed down and drove it through the goblin’s chest, killing it. Once it died she gasped.

"I did it, I unlocked the swordswoman class. And I got five xp." She said excitedly.

"That’s great. Do you want me to bring another one?" I asked.

"Yes, bring another one." She said.

I spent the next two hours bringing goblins for her to kill. I brought twenty-three in total. After killing the twentieth goblin Sarah got to level two and spent a full ten minutes dancing and cheering about it.

"That was the last of the goblins in that group. We should probably go back to the city and prepare for the wedding." I said.

"Okay." She said as she sent her sword back into her ring.

We returned to the city and I told her to find a store to get some rings. She asked for directions and we found the store. We walked into the store and it was filled with glass cases full of jewelry.

"How can I help you today?" The lady behind the counter asked as we walked in.

"We are getting married in two days and we would like some rings for the ceremony." I said.
