"Aw, you’re no fun." She said as she got out of my lap.

"Would your husband have to be human? What if an elf, or a beast-kin, wanted to marry you?" I said.

"That would depend. I won’t marry a man I see as a bad man, and I would rather not marry a man with no future." She replied.

"How much of a bride-price do you think you could get?" I asked.

"I don’t know, my parents thought I could get a gold coin but I think that was just wishful thinking." She said.

"What if someone offered you two gold coins, would you take it?" I asked.

She stopped walking and stared at me with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Are you teasing me? Because it’s not funny. Nobody would pay two gold coins for a peasant wife." She said

"I would pay three." I said.

Her eyes went wide as her face turned a bright pink as she blushed.

"Really, you would?" She asked.

We continued walking and talking for several days. Whenever we came across goblins or orcs I hid Sarah in a tree while I fought them. I found three more storage rings, thirty gold coins, one hundred eighty silver coins, and three hundred forty bronze coins over the next five days. I also got to level twenty-four in that time. On my eleventh day in the forest we found a narrow river running through the forest.

"Nice, time to take a bath." I said.

"Yeah, you could use one." Sarah said.

"Both of us could use one." I said as I began to undress.

"What are you doing?" Sarah asked.

"Taking my clothes off, I’m not taking a bath with my clothes on." I answered as I finished undressing.

"So, you have been living in the forest with me for five days now. What do you think?" I asked.

"I have decided I want you as my wife, what do you think about that?" I asked.

"What? You want me to be your wife?" She repeated shocked.

"Yes, I will even pay a bride-price if that is how this world works." I said.

"Are you serious? You really want me, a peasant to be your wife?" She asked.

"Yes, I don’t care if you are a peasant. That means nothing to me. You are a beautiful woman and after spending five days with you I believe you would make a good wife and a good mother." I said.

"Mother?" She whispered as she stared at me.

She continued to stare at me for several minutes before finally speaking again.

"Can I think about it?" She asked.
