"Finally done..." William muttered as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.
He looked at the Astral Rift before him and nodded in satisfaction.
Walking out of the small building where the Astral Rift was located, William’s expression turned serious as he took out a round plate engraved with different patterns from his storage ring.
"Let’s see if it works." He said to himself and poured a small amount of his Aether Energy into the round plate.
As the Aether Energy surged into the plate, it glowed slightly.
The next instant, the small building before William disappeared.
Even the faint aura of the Astral Rift that he could sense earlier could no longer be felt.
"After three days of work, I finally succeeded..." William sighed in relief when he saw this.
Before leaving the academy, he had asked Vivian for a Rank Three Concealment Array, which Dominick had delivered to him.
Normally, only Array Masters who specialized in arrays could set them up.
However, there were also pre-engraved arrays available on the market that ordinary people could use.
They only needed to arrange the pre-engraved components according to the instructions and activate them.
William had brought a Rank Three Pre-Engraved Array with him to hide the Astral Rift.
But even with the instructions provided with the array, it had taken him three whole days to arrange this relatively simple array.
"I really don’t have any talent when it comes to arrays. Even an average Array Master could arrange this simple array in just a few hours, but it took me three days..." William sighed at his own lack of talent and shook his head.
He stared at the empty space before him and narrowed his eyes.
’Let’s hope it works. If it doesn’t, I will simply inform the academy about it and get credits for this rift.’ He thought and put away the array plate.
"My Lord, I have brought what you asked for."
Just as he was lost in thought, Simon’s voice reached his ears.
William turned around and saw Simon walking toward him, holding a crystal-clear orb in his hand.
"Good job." William nodded and took the orb from Simon.
The orb was an Energy Crystal, the same item that was used during the Aether Affinity Test to determine a person’s Aether Affinity.
The reason William had asked Simon to bring one for him was to test something.
As he held the Energy Crystal in his hand, it immediately reacted, and its color began to change.
At first, it was gray.
But in less than a second, it changed to green and then blue, reaching the standard of High Grade Affinity.
However, the blue color didn’t last long and soon turned purple, indicating Excellent Grade Affinity.
Soon, the purple glow inside the orb became extremely bright, reaching the highest standard of Excellent Grade and even showing faint signs of turning red.
During the Aether Affinity Test in Rosco Barony, this was the level William’s Aether Affinity had reached.
Although it had reached the very limit of Excellent Grade, it had still failed to reach Perfect Grade.
But this time, the crystal didn’t stop.
The deep purple color continued to change, and its color finally turned red, indicating Perfect Grade Affinity.
Right after turning red, the crystal immediately stopped changing.
Looking at the crystal in his hand, William’s eyes narrowed slightly.
’So my Affinity really reached Perfect Grade.’
Although it had only just entered the threshold of Perfect Grade, it was Perfect Grade nonetheless.
William had noticed this abnormality three days ago when he tried to cultivate at night.
He had noticed that the speed at which he was condensing his Aether Energy into liquid had increased by more than three times.
At first, he was confused. But he soon thought about his bloodline.
He had assimilated the Origin Grade Vampire Bloodline, and his physical body had been completely reshaped.
So it wasn’t surprising that his Aether Affinity had changed.
But what made him baffled was that his Affinity had only reached the threshold of Perfect Grade.
One had to know that the bloodline William had assimilated was Origin Grade, something belonging to a Progenitor.
If nothing else, his Affinity should have at least reached the peak of Perfect Grade or perhaps even Transcendent Grade.
But it had stopped right at the entrance of Perfect Grade.
This greatly confused William.
’Why do I feel like there is something wrong here? Previously, my Affinity increased on its own and reached the very peak of Excellent Grade, and now the increase is so small that it is a complete slap in the face to my Origin Grade Bloodline.’
William frowned deeply as he stared at the red glow inside the crystal.
’Is there a problem with my body?’ He couldn’t help but wonder, confused about the reason behind such a small increase in his Affinity.
He looked at the crystal for a few seconds before taking a deep breath and putting it into his storage ring.
’I will let Vivian inspect my body once I return...’ He thought before looking at Simon.
"You remember everything that I told you, right?"
"Please rest assured, My Lord." Simon immediately knelt on the ground.
"This lowly one will definitely complete the task, even if I have to throw away my life."
William’s mouth twitched slightly at Simon’s frantic words, but he simply nodded and didn’t say anything.
An hour later, William flew out of the bandit hideout and headed back toward the academy.
’Let’s hope everything goes well...’ He glanced at the Black Hills one last time before his figure turned into a black streak and shot forward.
Around six hours later, William entered the City of Vance through its entrance and took a carriage back to the academy.
’I wonder how those guys handled the matter...’
He thought about the task he had left for Liam and Alicia, and his eyes gleamed slightly.
Half an hour later, the carriage stopped at the entrance of the Sun and Moon Academy.
William paid the fare and came out of the carriage, entering the academy.
Just as he passed through the entrance, he noticed a crowd of students gathered ahead, whispering to each other.
"So that’s an Angel. He is so handsome."
"Look at those wings. I envy them so much. They can fly even before becoming a Star Lord."
"What will happen if I have a baby with this handsome guy? Will the baby be born as a human or an Angel?"
"Damn you, pervert! You’re a male! How can you have a baby with him?"
"Hehe, you won’t know until you try. Maybe that guy Edrin will test it for us?"
’An Angel...’
William recalled what he had seen when he returned from the Howling Desert Rift, and a look of interest appeared on his face.
’Could it be that guy...?’
He thought and walked forward, passing through the crowd to look at the person involved.
As he reached the front, he saw a tall man wearing a long white robe embroidered with golden patterns.
The man had shoulder-length golden hair and a pair of white wings on his back.
A gentle expression rested on his handsome face, making the minds of many young girls in the crowd scream inwardly.
’So it’s really this guy...’ The instant William saw the man, he recognized him from the original timeline, and his mouth couldn’t help but twitch slightly.
’This show-off guy is still the same...’ He shook his head and prepared to leave, as he had no intention of talking to him for the time being.
But just as he was about to leave, the man’s eyes accidentally landed on him and the next second, his light golden eyes widened in disbelief.
"Master!" He shouted in shock and immediately ran toward William.
