Rebirth: Beasts Bound

"Ahhhhhhhhh!" The scream tore from my lips as my first toenail came off. Rosy smirked and stared down at it.

"Not so mighty now, are we?" she said, but I was trembling from the pain. I could hear the drip, drip sound of my blood falling onto the ground.

I gritted my teeth, fighting back the tears that wanted to escape from my eyes. I stared down.

"See? That’s what you should do to her!" Rosy said to Darian He smiled and clapped his hands in amusement, making me glare at him with hatred.

"Cat, help me!" I called internally and finally heard a voice.

"R-Rav— I... I c-can— hel— hello? R-Rav— c-can you—"

The glitching voice of Cat filled my ears, but it died the next second.

I was helpless.

I watched as Rosy dragged out a whip, its edges covered in spikes. It was clearly made of heavy iron. She bit down on her lip and handed it to Darian.

Swoosh!

Darian swung the whip through the air. It sliced through the wind and landed against the ground with a crushing sound. The spiked end left a deep mark in the floor.

My eyes dilated in fear. "Darian, don’t you dare!" I screamed,but he only smiled, gazed at me, and the whip in his hand swooped through the air again.

I closed my eyes and

Slit!

"Ahhh!" I cried out in pain as the whip curled around me, clinging to my waist. "Wait! We can talk this out!" I yelled, yet he didn’t listen. He dragged his hand, making the whip move around my body, its spikes cutting through my thin fabric.

"Aghhh!" I screamed, biting down on my tongue to muffle the sound.

He dragged harder, and the spikes scraped against my skin. I trembled, staring as small amounts of blood seeped out. My dress looked tattered around my waist, as though rats had feasted on it. My breath hitched and soft tears escaped my eyes.

"You bastard!" I cursed inwardly, forcing the tears back.

"Raven, so helpless. I have never seen you this way before. Does it hurt?" he asked, I glared at him, my cheeks trembling with anger.

"You still haven’t learned your lesson!" he snapped, just like that, a handful of sand blew toward me. My eyes were suddenly clouded. "Shit!"

I cursed, squeezing them shut and trying to reopen them, but they only stung and burned.

"Shit!" I cursed again, It hurt so much that I wanted to scream, but I held it in. Just then, the chains holding my wrists loosened and I collapsed onto the ground.

"Darian, you asshole!"

I screamed, placing my hands against the cold cement floor, because I couldn’t open my eyes, I couldn’t see a thing or hear any clear sounds.

"Bark, Rosette. Bark!" I heard Rosy’s voice, and my nails dug into the cement.

Why wouldn’t she just leave me alone? I thought I had left my world behind, but no, that bitch had actually followed me here...She was ruining my life all over again.

My lips parted to say something, but then—"Hhhaaa—!!"

A painful gasp escaped me as I felt Darian’s heavy boot crush down onto my fingers.

"Stop already! What do you want?" I asked in a shaky breath, but Darian didn’t answer, instead, I felt Rosy’s hand grab my hair and yank it back.

My throat itched, I could no longer scream.

POW!

"You dared lock me up and actually push me from the sky?" she snapped, a wild smile curved across my lips.

"It was worth it. Watching you cry so hard?" I said.

Another slap landed across my cheek. Then she grabbed my face so tightly it made me grit my teeth. "I really want you dead!" she yelled.

"Why didn’t you die then?!" she screamed.

Darian stepped closer. "Die when?" he asked, but Rosy didn’t reply.

I finally managed to open my eyes, although they were clearly red and irritated, I could see everything clearly.

"You still are a loser!" I said.

The blood drained from her face, she reached for a bat and

SLAM!

The bat landed against my face, I spun and crashed onto the ground. My eyes remained wide open through it all. I lay there frozen and lifeless for a moment before gasping for air. Blood poured from my mouth and I groaned in pain, trying to stand, then Darian’s boot landed squarely on my back, not gently, he stomped on it.

"My babies!"

The thought flashed through my mind as I thought about my stomach, yet I couldn’t move.

I felt so weak, my bones ached.

Seeming satisfied, he removed his foot, but I coughed in pain.

The floor and air smelled of metallic blood, sand, and something strange.

I managed to stand up, but it didn’t last long. Rosy swung the bat again and it landed against my head. I crashed back onto the ground, using my arms to shield my head as she struck harder and harder.

"Just die!" she cursed, hitting me again.

Seeing I wasn’t giving up, she suddenly aimed for my stomach. Was she trying to kill my babies? The thought made me grab the bat with what little strength I had left.

"What do you want?!" I yelled in anger, trying hard not to cry from the pain or from the fact that my entire body felt broken.

"I want you dead in every world!" she snapped with a chuckle.

The bat rose into the air, my breath hitched, but her foot landed on my hand, kicking it away. My fingers trembled from the impact, she didn’t give me time to recover and I saw the bat coming straight toward my eye.

I couldn’t dodge, I just stared....I closed my eyes and—

SLAM!

The force sent me sliding across the cement floor before I crashed into the wall behind me.

My hands trembled as they reached toward my left eye, carefully, I touched it.

I froze.

It hurt so much. "Did I lose my eye?" I thought.

My trembling fingers traced the swollen area, and thick liquid poured out. The tears I had been holding back finally fell.

"Where is everyone?!" I thought desperately, why haven’t the found me?

The tears kept falling. Was no one going to save me?

"I thought you were going to stay cocky forever?" Darian said, then he actually high-fived Rosy, while my left eye was clearly damaged, I couldn’t even open it.

"This is just the beginning," Darian said as he walked closer, my body moved, I tried crawling backward, but the wall behind me blocked any escape.

"Ple..."

I begged, yet he only laughed, this must feel amuzing to him! I curled my body together.

My lips finally parted to say something I never thought I would.

"Please."
