Chapter 1280: Chapter 1280: Stay Back
He must be Mom’s child; Dad already told him so.
He won’t believe what that person said.
"Baby, would you like Mom to bake a cake for you?" Sophie Wilson asked with a bright smile.
"Yes!" The baby clapped his little hands happily and nodded repeatedly.
"I’ll ask the nanny to buy the ingredients," Old Mrs. Seymour said with a smile.
"Grandma, I’ll take the baby to the supermarket to buy them," Sophie Wilson said.
"Alright, I’ll have the driver take you there." Old Mrs. Seymour hurriedly instructed the driver to get ready, watched Sophie and the baby leave by car, and then remarked with emotion, "The bond between the baby and Sophie is really good. It’s true motherly instinct."
"Isn’t it?" Old Mr. Seymour agreed with a smile, "Sophie is much better than that Chloe White."
"That girl has ulterior motives!" Old Mrs. Seymour’s face darkened as she said grumpily.
What does Chloe White want to do?
Bringing Sophie to see the baby clearly wants to stir things up.
Not to mention Sophie is the baby’s mom; even if she weren’t, it would be a Seymour Family affair, and Chloe White has no business meddling.
Clearly, she wants to take advantage of the situation, avoid alerting others, and hope for Sophie and Charles to quarrel and separate.
This thinking... too wicked!
"Alright, she won’t be able to cause trouble in the future," Old Mr. Seymour said with a smile, "Sophie has their recordings, which will always make her wary."
"I’m just afraid she’ll act recklessly!" Old Mrs. Seymour snorted coldly, "Denying her wish and losing face might make her oppose Sophie in the market."
"Will the Seymour Family fear the White Family?" Old Mr. Seymour said indifferently.
Old Mrs. Seymour nodded, yes, no need to fear.
Sophie Wilson arrived at the supermarket, pushing the cart with one hand and holding the baby’s hand as they shopped.
Once inside the supermarket, the baby didn’t make a fuss; he obediently followed Sophie, occasionally curiously glancing around but never letting go of Mom’s hand.
"Baby, what do you want to eat?" Sophie Wilson asked with amusement.
The child is too good, and seeing this makes her heartache.
It’s not just heartache for not being with the child these years, but also heartache for Charles.
How did he manage to raise the child alone, and so well?
It’s truly heart-rending.
"Mom, I want this." The baby’s voice interrupted Sophie Wilson’s thoughts, making her look over and say with a smile, "Okay, we’ll buy it."
Sophie Wilson smiled and picked it up, asking, "How many does the baby want?"
"Just one is good." The baby said so adorably.
This little appearance melted Sophie Wilson’s heart; she ruffled his hair and said with a smile, "Let’s go, let’s buy the things."
Sophie Wilson quickly bought the items, pushed the baby to check out, and carried the bags toward the exit.
Suddenly, a commotion was heard from ahead, followed by someone shouting, "Catch the thief!"
Sophie Wilson heard the shouts, turned her head, and saw a small, thin man with his head down running fast, pursued by a girl shouting loudly.
Other shoppers and security guards in the mall were also chasing him.
"Nobody come closer!" The thief suddenly stopped abruptly, turned, and waved his knife erratically, causing those who were chasing to instinctively halt and retreat.
"Stop chasing!" The thief, seeing the scare worked, tightly held the knife, backed away while pointing at those trying to approach.
