Rebirth: I have Monopoly System

Chapter 206: Officially Leaving School

After soaking on and off for two hours, Wu Yun felt completely waterlogged. He had a feeling that if he just scrubbed his skin, layers of grime would come rolling off.

After chatting for a while longer at the coffee shop, Wu Yun finally said his goodbyes and left.

As he sat in the car, Wu Yun happened to spot the wealthy woman who had flirted with him by the pool.

The wealthy woman had just unlocked her Porsche Cayenne when she heard a familiar male voice from nearby. "Auntie! I still want to keep trying! See you again if fate allows!"

The wealthy woman turned to see the rear window of a Rolls-Royce lowering, revealing the very man they had been eagerly discussing just moments before.

The wealthy woman covered her red lips and said with a beaming smile, "Young man, this auntie is the one who doesn’t want to try anymore!"

...

When he returned home that evening, Wu Yun explained his thoughts to the three women.

Only Bai Yue tried to persuade Wu Yun to continue his studies. However, after he spouted a bunch of his grand theories at her—and especially after she heard he would be able to visit the Capital City often—her conviction began to waver.

As for Qi Fei and Wen Meng, they supported Wu Yun unconditionally. After all, both of them knew that for the man Wu Yun was now, a diploma was little more than a piece of scrap paper.

Wen Meng draped herself over Wu Yun, her gaze hazy as she looked at him. "Junior! This feels so sudden! I never thought we’d be spending more time apart than together so soon!"

Wu Yun gave Wen Meng a playful swat on the butt. "What are you thinking about? You think I’m not going to come back to Rongcheng? Rongcheng is my home base, after all! When you graduate, you can come work with me, and then you won’t have to worry about this at all!"

Wen Meng rested her head on Wu Yun’s chest, listening to the strong, steady beat of his heart. "I was just being sentimental! Hey, what do you think about me being your secretary for my internship?"

Wen Meng whispered in a seductive voice, "A secretary does the work when there’s work to be done, and when there’s no work..."

Wu Yun dismissed the impractical thought and refused. "Forget it. You’re not suited for it! Once the company is more established, I plan on hiring a professional secretary or assistant. You just focus on being a carefree, rich woman."

Wen Meng was only joking, of course. She shifted her body and whispered in his ear, "Hey, handsome~ here’s five hundred. Let’s go again."

...

「Monday, a day packed with classes.」

For once, Wu Yun didn’t head to class with his roommates. Instead, he drove his new Phantom toward the administration building.

Along the way, students kept staring at the unfamiliar luxury car. Some muttered that it was probably another rich heir on campus to pick up girls.

He found his way to Li Yan’s office with ease.

Inside the office were Li Yan and another female counselor.

Li Yan looked at Wu Yun with a questioning gaze.

"Sister Yan! I’d like to request a long-term leave of absence or suspend my enrollment. There’s too much going on with the company right now; I can’t juggle my career and my studies anymore."

But Li Yan didn’t ask him for a reason. Instead, she smiled and said, "You’re finally here. I was starting to think you’d wait until next semester!"

Seeing the questioning look on Wu Yun’s face, Li Yan tucked a few strands of her bangs behind her ear and explained with a smile, "Dean Wang already gave me a heads-up. He said that if you wanted to suspend your studies or take a long-term leave, I should give you the green light."

"You won’t need to suspend your enrollment. You can still graduate on schedule. The school is preparing to recognize you as a model student entrepreneur, so we can certainly offer you this convenience."

As she spoke, Li Yan stood up and pulled two forms from a nearby filing cabinet.

"Fill out these two forms. I’ll sign them first, then you just need to get Dean Wang Xuanmin’s signature and bring them back to me."

Wu Yun quickly filled out the entrepreneurial information form and the related application. After handing them to Li Yan for her signature and asking for the location of Wang Xuanmin’s office, he left the counselor’s office.

"Li Yan’Er, isn’t that the freshman who performed in the finale of the orientation gala? He’s already an entrepreneur?" the other counselor asked curiously.

"Well, he’s got money. I heard he sponsored the entire orientation gala himself. That kid is going to be a big deal in the future! He’s a shoo-in for an honorary alumnus title, I’m sure of it," Li Yan remarked, gazing in the direction Wu Yun had gone.

"What? Little Red Car is his company? No wonder Dean Wang took a personal interest in this!"

...

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

"Come in!"

Wu Yun pushed the door open and stepped inside. His eyes immediately fell on a balding, formally dressed middle-aged man sitting in a swivel chair.

When Wang Xuanmin saw him, he thought for a moment before recognition dawned. "Wu Yun! You’re here! Please, have a seat!"

Wang Xuanmin gestured to the chair in front of his desk and said with a smile, "You’re quite the celebrity in our department, Wu Yun! If the other students found out you’re the chairman of Little Red Car, the entire campus would probably erupt."

Wu Yun sat down and said modestly, "Dean Wang, I just got a little lucky. The project was born from a flash of inspiration."

Wang Xuanmin chuckled. "Inspiration can only be found, not forced! And Little Red Car wouldn’t have gotten this big without your clear direction. No one succeeds by chance."

With that, Wang Xuanmin looked down and swiftly signed his name on the two forms Wu Yun had brought, adding a few words of approval and support.

"Ultimately, what you learn from books is just theory. You have to be able to apply it through practice."

"Keep up the good work! I have high hopes for you! I sincerely wish you every success, and I hope that at the senior graduation ceremony, the entire university will be proud of you."

Carrying Dean Wang’s words of encouragement, Wu Yun left the office. After dropping the forms off with Li Yan, he drove toward his classroom building.

During the break between classes, Wu Yun slipped into the back row and briefly explained the situation to his three roommates.

Unexpectedly, Li Shiming had a huge reaction, even crying out in shock, "What?! Boss, you’re dropping out?!"

Wu Yun smacked Li Shiming on the back of the head. "What do you mean, dropping out? It’s for my business. I’ll still get my diploma on schedule."

Then, Wu Yun told them about his company, Little Red Car. The news left the three of them shocked and full of admiration. ’How can one person have all the best Skills?’ they thought. ’It’s not fair.’

After class, Wu Yun offered to treat the three of them to a farewell dinner.

"Holy shit! Boss, you got another new car!" Liu Yongheng’s eyes sparkled as he caressed the Phantom’s two-tone coachline as if stroking a lover.

Liu Yongheng still hadn’t taken delivery of his own car, and since ordering it, his interest in driving had reached an all-time high.

Pang Guang and Li Shiming, on the other hand, climbed into the Phantom’s back seat a little timidly.

Seeing their expressions, Wu Yun laughed and said, "What are you afraid of? If it gets dirty, we’ll just get it cleaned!"

The four of them drove off in style under the watchful eyes of their classmates, leaving behind a group of girls buzzing with discussion.

Not far away, Zhang Qiuyue watched the Phantom’s taillights disappear, a pensive look on her face.

"Yueyue! Staring at your crush again? He’s already gone! If you like him, just go for it! Poach him! It’s not like he’s married!"
