After a tuna feast that evening, everyone went home.
As they got out of the car at Cofco Seaview No. 1, Wang Hao said to Wu Yun, "President Wu, I’ve finished contacting the three aircraft manufacturers. I’ll send you the detailed report when I get back!"
Wu Yun just smiled and said, "It’s fine! You’ve had a long day. Go home and get some rest."
It wasn’t until after he had showered with Qi Fei that Wu Yun noticed he had received a file on his phone.
"Replies from the Three Major Aircraft Manufacturers and Summary Report."
Wearing a short-sleeved shirt and beach shorts, Wu Yun sat on the sofa and opened the file on his tablet.
The first reply, from the Boeing Company, was as follows:
The BBJ3 is the newest member of the Boeing 737 family. The new generation of Boeing 737-600/-700/-800/-900 series aircraft continues the outstanding characteristics of the 737 series, providing the most extensive and reliable air transport services to passengers worldwide. To date, the Boeing 737 series has received over 6,000 orders from global airlines—more than the total orders for all products from Boeing’s biggest competitor since its inception.
In November 1993, Boeing launched the new-generation 737-700 project when Southwest Airlines ordered 63 aircraft. The first plane entered service in December 1997.
The rest was an introduction to the historical background of the Boeing BBJ3, which also specifically emphasized the model’s safety.
Attached were safety certification certificates from many countries. In any case, they kept emphasizing that the BBJ3 was a member of the outstanding Boeing 737 family of aircraft.
Next were the BBJ3’s various flight data, which Wu Yun knew perfectly well, so he skipped right over it.
However, the layout diagrams for the interior decoration that followed piqued Wu Yun’s interest.
Because the BBJ3 model Wu Yun had chosen was a conversion of a medium-sized commercial airliner, its interior, at over three meters wide, was more than a meter wider than the models from Bombardier and Gulfstream.
Even though the BBJ3 was only ten meters longer than the other two selected models, its interior space was very spacious.
Wu Yun was quite fond of one particular layout.
So he had Qi Fei pause the TV and come take a look with him.
The design drawing showed that in a compartment to the left of the entrance were two flight attendant seats and a galley.
To the right of the entrance were facing club seats. On both the left and right sides were two four-seat arrangements, for a total of 16 seats.
Further toward the tail was an L-shaped sofa, with some fixed cabinets and a small coffee table next to it.
A television was placed across from the sofa.
The innermost cabin was set up as a bedroom with a two-meter-wide bed and a private bathroom.
Qi Fei’s eyes lit up at this layout. She thought it was wonderful; the cabin space didn’t feel as cramped as on the planes she usually flew.
But when Wu Yun saw the required delivery time written at the end, he decided to look at the other two models first.
"Dear Mr. Wu, if you order the BBJ3 now, it will roll off the production line in January 2016. If you are in urgent need of a private jet, we can also recommend the BBJ2 and BBJ models. You could have your own private jet in just three to six months."
Wu Yun then turned his attention to the information on the next aircraft.
The Bombardier Global 7000. It seemed like a very nice plane.
But the manufacturer’s response was that the Bombardier 7000 only existed as a prototype and had not yet completed its maiden flight. If he wanted to place a custom order, he would be in a queue until around 2018. They recommended choosing an existing model.
So Wu Yun immediately passed on the Bombardier Global 7000.
Opening the reply from the Gulfstream Company, Wu Yun finally got a more satisfactory answer.
"Dear Mr. Wu, our company currently has a base model of the G650 finished aircraft in stock. The interior and layout require your personal selection, and a custom-decorated layout will take two to three months."
"The G650 can have up to four independent living areas, and it comes equipped with a full galley and a separate, private crew rest area. It can accommodate up to 19 passengers.
The G650 cabin offers maximum flexibility for customization. Mr. Wu can choose functional configurations according to his needs: a conference room or office, a six-person dining table or a luxurious living room, a home theater or a permanent master suite. The suite can be equipped with a large bed and a stand-up shower."
"Qi Fei! I’ve decided! I’m choosing the G650!" Wu Yun was like a child desperate for a new toy, seeming incredibly impatient.
Qi Fei took the tablet, zoomed in on the interior layout, and looked at it carefully. She found that while the space was smaller than the Boeing model, it had everything it needed. Small, but perfectly formed.
"This plane isn’t just fast, it also has the longest range. If we want to go abroad in the future, we can fly directly to the United States and Europe without needing to land midway."
What Wu Yun cared about most was the time. Order it now, and in two or three months, he’d have his own plane! The thought alone was thrilling.
"Alright! I just think the space is a little small," Qi Fei shared her opinion.
Wu Yun wrapped his arm around Qi Fei’s waist and said, "Let’s just buy one to use for now! When we have more money later, we’ll buy the same model as the U.S. President’s Air Force One!"
Qi Fei gave Wu Yun a soft, flirtatious glance and said, "Whatever you say! My big tycoon husband!"
A wicked grin appeared on Wu Yun’s lips as he looked at Qi Fei. He first picked up his phone, pressed the talk button, and sent a voice message to Wang Hao: "Contact Gulfstream tomorrow! I want to buy the G650 with the interior from the first layout diagram! Oh, and tell them I want a custom pull-out safe with a lock installed under the sofa. It doesn’t need to be big, just something that fits under the sofa! And it has to be concealed so you can’t see it!"
"Ask for the specific handover time!"
After speaking, Wu Yun looked at Qi Fei, letting his phone drop onto the sofa. "My little tycoon wife! Time to rest! You have class tomorrow!"
With that, Wu Yun reached out as if to pick Qi Fei up.
Qi Fei struggled weakly before Wu Yun easily swept her up in a princess carry and took her into the bedroom.
A few seconds after they entered the bedroom.
Wu Yun was seen running out, grabbing his phone from the sofa, turning off the TV, and then running back, conveniently switching off the underfloor heating and the living room lights on his way.
「Monday morning.」
Wu Yun had arranged with Tang Hongjiang to go to Nirvana Investment together and start working for himself.
Wu Yun had asked for Tang Hongjiang’s opinion on whether to buy the private jet in his personal name or under the company’s name.
Tang Hongjiang’s advice was, of course, to buy it under the company’s name.
According to Tang Hongjiang, "First, an aircraft purchased in the company’s name can be treated as a company fixed asset."
"Second, it reduces some income tax payments. Since the aircraft is part of the company’s property, all expenses incurred by the aircraft (including daily refueling, maintenance, and repair costs) can be charged to the company’s account, legitimately reducing a portion of the company’s taxes."
The value-added tax invoice from the aircraft purchase could also be used to offset company expenses, which would save the company a significant amount of money.
And so, back in work mode, Wu Yun had Tan Shu transfer 700 million into the corporate account of Nirvana Investment in Modu that morning.
Nearly 500 million of that was for buying the plane in the company’s name, while the remaining funds would serve as capital for Nirvana Investment.
And just like that, another 700 million experience points were added to Wu Yun’s panel.
Level 7 (1.36377 billion / 20 billion) Remaining Funds: 645.36 million.
