Splitting Into Two Groups

Outside the cave, the naga were trying to enter the entrance, but they simply could not break through the swift current, so they could only linger outside the passage. However, their waiting was not in vain, for maintaining this barrier consumed magic power—once the magic was depleted, the barrier would vanish.

When that happened, the naga would rush in and eliminate the enemies preventing Maregof from capturing Lake Nos.

Everything was progressing just as Maregof had anticipated, until he received intelligence.

"Serea has set out with her people for Lake Nos."

After reading the report relayed by Black Hat, maregof's face clouded over.

"Bastard, why is that damned woman everywhere!"

He roared furiously.

This Serea always stood in his way. This time, he truly could not endure her interference!

"How many ogres have completed their transformation?"

"Reporting to Lord Maregof, there are a total of fifty."

"Send them all out secretly. Remember, do not let anyone know the monsters came from us."

"Yes."

A goblin received his orders and left. Meanwhile, maregof held a young woman named 'Alysta' in his arms, his gaze growing increasingly vicious.

This time, he was determined to deal harshly with that woman!

Seeing that expression on Maregof's face, the woman in his arms curled her lips into a faint smile.

As expected, everything was proceeding just as Adolf had predicted: anger was the beginning of a person abandoning prudent thought...

...

In the jungle, Serea led her team forward. They traveled unimpeded all the way to the lakeshore of Lake Nos.

"This is the place."

Tifia spoke, and Serea halted the group.

Gazing at the tranquil lake surface, Serea had the distinct feeling that something was watching her.

It's here!

Suddenly, a wave surged up five meters high. Such a large wave in a lake was certainly not natural.

Focusing her gaze, sure enough, several dark shadows hid within the wave. Upon spotting them, tifia exclaimed in surprise.

"It's naga!"

But at the moment, tentacles writhed all over the bodies of the naga, which reminded Serea of the previously parasitized ogres. If nothing unexpected had occurred, these naga must have been parasitized as well.

It was hard to believe the Erosion Demon could even control such powerful and highly intelligent creatures as the naga.

"Queen, be careful!"

As the wave crashed toward them, Lola summoned the power of nature.

Resurrect!

Vines rose along the lakeshore, forming a massive, leafy barrier in front of everyone, shielding them from the crashing wave.

Splat!

But even as the wave was blocked, several water blades shot forth. Swift and deadly, the blades targeted Serea at the forefront.

Piercing Magic Arrows!

Little White raised her hand and shot two Piercing Magic Arrows, scattering the blades. Now that the enemy was confirmed, the elven archers retaliated.

Tracking Arrows!

Bleeding Shot!

Gale Shot!

Power Shot!

With Eagle Eye activated to help target, Vina led the elven archers in a volley of arrows. Several naga, skimming the water's surface and casting spells, were severely wounded by the rain of shafts. This also alerted the naga to the threat posed by the elven archers.

In an instant, all the naga submerged, and the archers lost their targets—there was nothing left to shoot at.

"They actually hid."

Vina and the others stared blankly at the water's surface, at a loss. Just then, the conch sounded again.

"Ooo, ooo, ooo!"

But this time, the conch's sound was even more urgent. Tifia, understanding its meaning, shouted out.

"This is bad! The barrier is about to dissipate!"

Saying this, he was about to lead the lizardmen to dive underwater to rescue Tethys.

"Come back!"

Serea stopped Tifia and spoke.

"In the water, you cannot possibly defeat those naga."

"The Lake God is our tribe's savior. We must go!"

Tifia was resolute. Suddenly, a raven landed on Doluka's shoulder, cawed a few times, and Doluka's face became troubled.

"Queen, fifty giant monsters are rapidly approaching us. They'll make contact in about ten minutes."

"As expected, these naga were released by that creature lurking in the shadows."

Now with both monsters attacking and Tethys in peril, what should be done?

Serea pondered for only a moment before making her decision.

"Have the vanguard rendezvous with the main force. Cavalry, fall back. Let the Heavy Warrior and blood slave units engage the enemy first. The elven archers will ride the carrion beasts and encircle from the flanks. Also, take this with you."

As Serea spoke, she handed a silver bracelet to Celia.

Seeing it was a bracelet transformed by Pelam, Celia asked, "What about you?"

"I'll deal with those naga."

"..."

When Serea said this, Celia fell silent. Lola looked worried and wanted to object, but before they could speak, Celia broke the silence.

"Be careful."

"Leave it to me!"

Serea smiled confidently. With 'Will of the Deep Sea' activated, she was the only one able to fight underwater—and with the power to summon great beasts, she could certainly deal with the naga.

On land, with Pelam present, though she could not summon her own great beast, she could open the underworld gate of Europe, more than enough to hold off those monsters.

"Tifia, I'll ask you to fight alongside Celia and the others."

"And you..."

"Let's begin."

Before Tifia could reply, Serea leaped into Lake Nos. The bone-chilling water immediately sapped her body heat, but with a single skill, the sensation vanished completely.

Will of the Deep Sea!

Her legs vanished, replaced by a black fishtail.

Swaying her tail, Serea shot toward the lakebed. With one glance, she spotted the swimming naga.

Meanwhile on shore, tifia hesitated, but Celia, already astride a carrion beast, spoke:

"Relax. None of us here is qualified to doubt her strength. Leave this to her, and let's protect her back."

With that, Celia rode the carrion beast back to regroup with the main force. As she left, the blood slaves and elves also turned and surged after her.

Seeing this, tifia gritted his teeth and led his lizardman guards to follow.

If Queen Serea was acting personally—

There'd be no problem!

The two sides were about to clash head-on. Elsewhere in the jungle, a band of cavalry nearing the Darkmoon clan's tribe received word from the ravens.

"Monsters have suddenly appeared in the jungle. Queen Serea has personally led her people to meet the enemy..."

Aruka read the message aloud. Now that Queen Serea herself was leading a strike, how could he stand aside?

"You all take the supplies to camp. The rest, come with me!"

"Yes!"

The wolf riders charged into the night, becoming phantoms in the darkness.
