Mimi flinched the moment Liana pulled her ear, a sharp yelp escaping her lips as she released Javier and stumbled back.

"Nyaa! Big Sis!"

Liana held her ear firmly, her voice calm but scolding. "It’s still early in the morning, Mimi. I understand if you didn’t get any last night, but you did. We all did. Until dawn. There’s no reason for you to be climbing all over him like that first thing in the morning."

Mimi rubbed her ear the moment Liana released it, her lips pursing into a small pout as she mumbled. "Okay... Big Sis..."

She turn and walked toward the grill, her eyes landing on the meat sizzling over the flames. She licked her lips, her tail swaying gently behind her as she grabbed the tong and started flipping the pieces she wanted.

Javier smiled softly before adjusting the cushion and sitting back down. He glanced at Mimi as she flipped the meat.

"Nya?" Mimi tapped her lip with one finger, thinking for a moment before answering. "Nee-sama was getting ready. She was picking out a dress when I left. Junior just finished her shower too, so she’s probably getting dressed now."

"Oh. And Gloria?"

"Big Sis Gloria was chatting with one of the maids in the hallway earlier. But it wasn’t interesting, so Mimi left, nya~"

Liana moved gracefully toward the veranda, her steps light and elegant. She began clearing the table, wiping it down with a soft cloth before arranging the chairs, preparing the space for everyone’s breakfast. Delya moved to help her, setting out plates and utensils with her usual dreamy, unhurried grace.

Javier smiled and glanced at Liana, who was busy arranging the chairs and setting the table with Delya’s help.

"Liana?"

"Hmm?" Liana glanced up from her preparations, her hands pausing as she looked at him. "Yes, Young Master?"

Javier glanced around briefly before turning his attention back to her.

"Where are all the things I asked you to gather earlier? The dresses, the accessories, the outfits and everything else from the girls?"

Liana tilted her head, a soft smile touching her lips as she looked at him. "Do you want to upgrade them here?"

"Ah, no... I just want to check if everything is there."

Liana gave him a playful narrow-eyed look, her smile turning teasing. "Oh~? You don’t trust me, Young Master~?"

Javier raised both hands with a quick grin. "What? No. I trust you. It’s just that I want to see it. Since I’m not doing anything and just sitting here, might as well check it out and put it inside my dimensional storage."

"Okay. If you say so~" Liana raised one hand gracefully, her palm glowing with a soft, shimmering light. Eight beautiful, ornate wooden boxes materialized around Javier, each one large enough to hold a full wardrobe. The boxes were carved with intricate designs, each one marked with a different symbol to indicate whose belongings were inside.

Javier smiled, his eyes sweeping over the boxes. "Thanks, sweetheart."

"Mm~" Liana smiled back before continuing her arrangement with Delya.

Javier rubbed his chin, reaching for the first box. He opened it and noticed a neatly folded maid dress on top, an elven special dress underneath, and several other garments carefully arranged. His eyes scanned the contents before landing on a small drawer compartment at the side.

Inside, he found a silver filigree necklace, an emerald ring, and several other accessories, each one gleaming under the morning light.

Hmm... this maid dress, that silver filigree necklace, the emerald ring... Ah, this belongs to Liana~

He set those aside and reached deeper into the box, his fingers brushing against something soft. He pulled it out and found a delicate piece of fabric, a pair of lacy side-tie panties, thin and elegant, designed to be tied at the hips.

Javier’s grin widened as he held it up, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous thought.

Heh~ Liana’s taste in lingerie is always so elegant. This pair... isn’t this the same design she wore last night?

He glanced toward Liana, who was still busy with the table, completely unaware of what he was holding. His smirk widened as he put it back in the box.

Mm~ I will make sure she wears it tonight~ hehehe~

Javier kept rummaging through Liana’s box, his fingers brushing against different fabrics and accessories. He pulled out a bra, a delicate piece of lace and silk, deep emerald with silver embroidery along the edges. He held it up, tilting his head as he examined it.

Woo~ this bra... I’ve never seen it before. And I’m sure this isn’t one of the items I upgraded before.

Oho~ She ordered it specially for me?

Hehehe~ I love it. She knows exactly what I like.

He kept rummaging through the box, setting aside different pieces of clothing and accessories. Then his eyes landed on a swimsuit, a beautiful, elegant two-piece designed for the beach. The fabric was a soft, shimmering blue, with delicate silver accents that caught the light.

He went silent, his fingers hovering over the fabric as he stared at it.

Liana...

She must have been keeping this inside for a long time.

She’s never mentioned wanting to go to the beach before. But she bought this anyway. She must have been dreaming about it, hoping that one day I would take her somewhere like that. Somewhere peaceful, somewhere far from all the battles and responsibilities.

He glanced toward Liana, who was still busy with Delya, chatting softly as they arranged the table. She smiled gently, her silver hair catching the morning light, her emerald eyes soft and warm. She looked so content, so at peace, just doing something as simple as setting the table.

Javier’s eyes softened, a faint, bittersweet ache settling in his chest.

She never asks for anything. She never complains. She just... waits.

She waits for me to finish my missions, waits for me to come home, waits for me to have time for her. And even then, she never asks for more than what I can give.

He looked down at the swimsuit again, his thumb brushing over the soft fabric.

I’ve been so busy. With the missions, the inventions, the training, the preparations for the invasion... I haven’t taken her anywhere. I haven’t given her the kind of life she deserves. She’s my first love. My first fiancée. And yet...

I’ve been neglecting her without even realizing it.
