A white-haired old man and woman walked through the gates of the Garden, followed by twelve other people, all seeming to be from different races.

"Welcome grandpa, grandma." Jacob turned to face Alaric and Esty. The first person he caught wind of was Lucien, who floated casually behind them, seemingly uninterested in his environment.

He floated with his hand behind his back, his long white garment flailing in the wind. Without Lucien’s knowledge, Jacob made a sign to Alaric, who nodded in response as a way of showing that he understood the boy.

"Jacob! You look amazing! Is it just me or did you grow even more handsome after leaving the castle?" Esty exclaimed as she hugged her grandson tighter than she ever had.

"I just have good genes grandma." Jacob responded with a smile as the woman pinched his cheeks.

"That you do boy, that you do." Alaric added.

"Xenia!" Esty said, turning her gaze to the woman, who responded with a smile and hugged her back. A rekindling conversation ensued between the both of them.

"Now that we’re through with formalities. Let us get to the matter at hand." Banqui spoke, as formally as possible, he did not care much for the intricacies of their family relationship.

"You’re right Banqui, let’s get to the matter at hand." Alaric responded, with a wave of his hand, Thorin and Banqui hurriedly held Lucien in place. Rhaenys placed a pair of metal hand-cuffs on his hands.

The entire motion was done in less thin a second, causing Lucien’s eyes to widen and a lump to appear in his throat. His face was laced with confusion and mild terror.

"W-What is... What is the meaning of this?!" The Angel demanded fiercely, drops of saliva flying freely out of his mouth as a result of the rage that boiled within him.

"We should ask you that question instead. You have committed a sacrilege, plotting along side the Demon King." Alaric spat on the ground in utter disdain, mentally refusing to wipe it off. "I am completely embarrassed by your actions. Even monsters have more honor than you have displayed."

Lucien sneered. He struggled, trying to pull the chain apart with all his might, but much as he attempted, it was to no avail. Even with his powers.

"I wouldn’t do that if I were you." Rhaenys said in a calm tone, a listless look on her face like she always had.

Lucien looked up at her, drops of sweat starting to form on his forehead, his expression was shame-filled. He looked around frantically, but the expression on everyone’s face was the same. They all knew he was a betrayer, a mole. And he had finally been caught.

"H-How did... How did you find out? Wait... listen, hear me out. There was a reason..." Lucien demanded and pleaded.

"We’re done hearing you out fallen Angel. I doubt even the gods will look upon you with love after this." Alaric cut him off, not allowing him finish his sentence.

"They never did anyways, all they ever did was judge me, the same way you judge me now—you want to know why I helped the Demon King. It’s because those imperfect gods look upon me as though I am not their creation. They expect something created by an imperfect being to be perfect.

"One error, one error, I pleaded and pleaded. But they still wouldn’t listen. They wouldn’t listen to reason." Lucien said, but after seeing that nobody was willing to listen to his rant, he tried once again to free himself from the shackles that Rhaenys placed on him. He tried to imbue it with his light energy, then shatter it when it was overwhelmed.

The second he attempted it, a massive amount of energy was instantly drawn from his body at once, weakening him and causing him to fall to his knees.

"I told you not to try it." Rhaenys spoke up. "That is a cursed chain, the more you try to free yourself by any means, the more it tightens on your wrist and absorbs your power. Freeing yourself is impossible."

Lucien groaned as he felt the handcuff tighten on his wrist. The entire place went silent.

Jacob had maintained a calm demeanor the entire time, the scene played out just as he had expected, so there were no surprises there.

"You think you’ve won, don’t you?" Lucien barked, his hair frizzy, and his face laced with sweat. "You have no idea what you are up against. You cannot defeat it. You cannot run from it. I will take down those puny gods. I will have my revenge!" His voice echoed throughout the walls. With a swift movement of Jacob’s index finger, Lucien’s mouth vanished.

That part of his face was completely sealed. The Angel began to groan, and scream inwardly as he raised his hand to his face, clawing desperately at the space where his lips once sat.

Jacob walked up to him, slowly, gracefully. The young man squatted directly in front of Lucien. "I’ll be watching you. If you try and escape, or aid Morbius in any way, your mouth won’t be the only thing that vanished into thin air." Jacob patted his shoulder, then stood up and turned around to walk away.

He halted his steps and turned his head so he was looking at Lucien through the corners of his eye. "Just so you know, if you do succeed in helping the Demon King, you’re the first person he’ll kill." Jacob’s voice was icy cold, he turned and moved away from Lucien.

Tears began to roll down the Angel’s face as he was dragged hopelessly to the side, and tied to a tree.

The rest of the elders turned to Jacob, who heaved a sigh of relief, his grandfather looked at him with an expression that screamed ’you did not just do that.’

"What? He was starting to annoy me, he’ll get his mouth back when it’s over." Jacob told the rest of the Elders, some of whom were surprised that he could even do something like that.

To cause someone’s body part to completely vanish, that was unheard of.
