The battlefield had quickly turned against the Riversians, with thousands of their soldiers already lost beneath the relentless bombardment of blazing fire. What had once been an organized army was now descending into chaos, as wounded lizardmen crawled through the mud, soldiers desperately searched for shelter, and entire formations struggled to understand what had suddenly happened to the battlefield.

Siar’s composed expression had completely disappeared.

He stood among the chaos, his eyes moving from one burning section of the battlefield to another while the screams of his soldiers echoed around him. The smell of smoke and burning flesh filled the air, and for the first time since taking command, Siar found himself struggling to process the situation as soldiers continued falling around him every second.

"There’s nowhere safe! The fire is coming from everywhere!"

The cries of his soldiers surrounded him, each voice carrying a different mixture of fear and desperation.

Then a single drop of water struck Siar’s face.

He slowly looked upward.

Within moments, heavy rain began pouring across the battlefield, drowning the flames beneath sheets of water and plunging the entire region into darkness. One by one, the burning projectiles were extinguished, leaving behind enormous clouds of steam that rose from the scorched ground.

Siar’s eyes widened as realization immediately struck him.

The rain would put out the flames.

He tightened his grip around his scythe, preparing to raise another command and take advantage of the sudden change in the battlefield. However, before he could speak, an intense light suddenly appeared above them.

The entire battlefield was illuminated by a blinding radiance descending from the heavens.

Both Riversian and Forestian soldiers instinctively raised their arms to shield their eyes, while others turned their faces away from the overwhelming brightness. Even Siar struggled to look directly toward the source of the light.

"What is that?"

"Is this another one of their schemes?"

"Stay alert! We don’t know what is happening!"

The light remained suspended above the battlefield before slowly becoming more concentrated, forming an enormous figure high within the sky. Then, without warning, its voice descended upon the battlefield with such overwhelming force that the ground itself began to shake.

"Stop this conflict, my dear descendants."

The sound reverberated through every soldier’s body.

Both armies immediately covered their ears as the voice continued echoing around them, causing several soldiers to collapse onto their knees from the sheer pressure. It felt as though the sound itself was striking their skulls, leaving many of them struggling to remain conscious.

"ARGHHH!"

"My ears!"

"What is this power?!"

Siar gritted his teeth and endured the overwhelming voice before turning toward Cull, who had remained sitting on the ground throughout the entire ordeal. The Forestian leader looked just as confused as everyone else, his eyes fixed upon the divine figure above.

"Is this another one of your schemes?"

Cull slowly shook his head, his expression filled with genuine bewilderment.

"No, this is not by me. I have absolutely no idea what is happening."

The divine figure remained suspended above the battlefield as the rain continued falling around them.

"I am Odir, the founder of the Riversian, the god of bravery, and the first Pantheon to ascend upon the Council of Pantheons created by the Entity."

Silence immediately spread across the battlefield.

"Odir?"

"The great lizardman?"

"What does he mean by the first Pantheon?"

"Is he speaking about the Entity that the humans claim has revealed itself?"

A barrage of questions spread through the armies, completely replacing the hostility that had filled the battlefield moments earlier. Soldiers who had previously been preparing to kill one another now lowered their weapons, their attention entirely focused upon the legendary figure standing within the heavens.

Siar slowly stepped forward. His expression became solemn as he raised his head toward the divine presence.

"I am Siar the Second, the current leader of the Riversian, and I humbly greet the great lizardman who founded our people."

Siar lowered himself onto one knee.

The Riversian soldiers immediately followed his example, thousands of lizardmen kneeling across the battlefield. Even wounded soldiers attempted to lower themselves, unwilling to remain standing before the legendary founder of their civilization.

Cull watched the Riversians for a moment before slowly lowering himself as well.

"I am Cull, the leader of the Forestian, and I offer my respect to the wise lizardman who once saved our settlement."

The Forestian army followed their leader.

Within moments, the entire battlefield had fallen to its knees.

"I have not appeared before you to receive your worship."

Odir’s voice echoed across the battlefield, carrying an authority that none of the soldiers dared challenge.

"I am here to stop this conflict and prevent you from continuing to kill one another meaninglessly while wasting the resources and strength of your people."

Siar remained kneeling, his head slightly lowered as he gathered the courage to speak.

"Great Lizardman Odir, are you siding with the Riversian because we are currently losing this battle?"

Odir answered immediately. "Incorrect. I have not ascended beyond mortality merely to concern myself with the petty divisions between Riversian and Forestian."

His voice became deeper, carrying a divine authority that seemed to come from something far beyond the battlefield.

"I am no longer the Odir who merely founded the Riversian and protected its people. I have ascended beyond that existence and become a deity who watches over the entire race, which means I have no reason to favor one descendant over another."

The soldiers remained completely silent.

"I do not care which side wins this meaningless conflict, because there is a threat approaching this world that makes your current battle insignificant."

Siar slowly raised his head. "What threat could possibly be greater than the war that is happening before us?"

Odir’s divine presence intensified. "A massive creature capable of destroying entire islands is currently heading toward the settlement of the elves, and according to its current speed, it will reach them in ten days."

The whole battlefield instantly erupted into murmurs.
