Reincarnated as a damn planet

Chapter 66: Gajia Academy 2 - World Fundamentals

"First topic: the Entity and the gods."

Raquan turned toward the board and wrote two words across it before facing the class again.

"The Entity stands at the very top. It is the creator responsible for the existence of this world, while the Pantheons beneath it maintain the balance of creation. Centuries ago, several of those Pantheons descended into our world, leaving behind powerful weapons and artifacts."

The classroom immediately became quieter.

Even the students who had been whispering moments earlier seemed to pay closer attention. These were not stories about distant kings or ancient wars, but beings that had supposedly stood alongside the creator of their world.

"We currently know of five gods who have revealed themselves to our world, along with five artifacts connected to them."

Raquan raised one finger.

"The first is the Dagger of Divinity, first wielded by the First Emperor. After generations of passing through the imperial bloodline, it eventually became the symbol of Etia’s royal family."

His gaze shifted toward Rize.

"And the current heir carrying that legacy is sitting right here in this classroom."

Several students immediately turned toward her.

Rize remained completely composed, seemingly accustomed to such attention, though her fingers briefly tightened around the edge of her desk.

"The Dagger of Divinity..." someone whispered. "So that’s what the royal family possesses?"

Raquan continued before the murmurs could spread.

"Next is the Staff of Moleius, first wielded by Adin the Beholder. The staff was eventually passed down through the druids, remaining in their possession for generations until the conflict between the elves changed everything."

A druid sitting near the back suddenly clenched his teeth.

"The current wielder was killed during that conflict, and the staff was stolen by the demon race."

The druid’s expression darkened, his fingers digging into his desk.

"They still have it..." he muttered.

Raquan gave him a brief glance before continuing.

"Aurvene, the Spear of Olium, first wielded by one of the defying nine, Erid Rootil, is another matter. It remained in the possession of the neutral elves, who refused to take either side during that conflict. They still guard it to this day, waiting for the person destined to wield it."

A young clueless elf raised his hand.

"Does that mean anyone can take it?"

"No."

Raquan’s answer came immediately. "The spear chooses its wielder."

A few students exchanged curious looks.

Raquan raised another finger.

"Then there is the Dual Axes of Odir. They were first wielded by two great lizardmen belonging to the Defying Nine, and unlike the other artifacts, their legacy never truly left the hands of the lizardman race. The axes remain under their protection."

A lizardman near the front proudly lifted his chin.

"Of course they do."

Several of his classmates chuckled.

Raquan shook his head before continuing.

"Now, the most recent revelation came roughly a century ago. The insect god, Calean, descended upon this world and granted his crown to the tribal emperor of the beastmen, Valadin."

Akuma’s ears immediately perked up.

"A god personally gave an artifact to an emperor?"

"That’s right."

Raquan tapped the board. "And finally, there is the Orb of the Unknown. Trias, the God of the Unknown, revealed herself but made one thing clear: she would not choose its wielder herself."

The classroom became noticeably quieter.

"Instead, the wielder must be discovered."

"Discovered where?" someone asked.

Raquan shrugged. "That is precisely what makes it unknown."

A few students laughed, while others stared at the board with fascination.

Raquan stepped away from it and looked across the room.

"Now, why am I telling you all of this?"

"Because every individual who leaves a legacy eventually becomes important. Those who prove themselves worthy are noticed by the Entity, and with that recognition comes power."

Akuma’s expression slowly changed.

So that was the connection. The legends they had been discussing were not simply people from ancient history. Their actions had shaped the world, and the academy itself had been built around the powers and legacies they left behind.

"Gajia Academy was originally created for one purpose: to train exceptional individuals."

Raquan’s voice became more serious. "But the world has changed."

He pointed toward the names still written across the board.

"The academy now exists not only to train warriors, but to prepare them to defend this world against what is coming."

A student swallowed.

"What’s coming?"

Raquan’s eyes narrowed. "The unorthodox races."

The room fell silent.

"First, there is Zillagod, the legendary monster that once came close to destroying an entire continent. Then there are the werewolves, a predatory race that has repeatedly threatened human civilizations."

Akuma’s expression became slightly more serious at the mention of werewolves.

"And finally..."

"The demons are rising."

The atmosphere inside the classroom changed immediately. Even the students who had been treating the lecture casually were now paying complete attention.

Raquan turned back toward the board and erased the names of the artifacts.

"These are not stories meant to frighten you. They are reminders of the world you have chosen to enter."

He placed the chalk down. "And with that out of the way, let us discuss one of the most important things you came here to learn."

Raquan smiled.

"How does someone actually become strong?"

He breathed out a light sigh before continuing, his eyes sweeping across the classroom. "After the discoveries made by the great inventor Wias of the Lizardmen, we finally gained the fundamental knowledge needed to understand these unknown powers."

"First, there was Magic, a term originally used by Moleius the Wise. He described it as an invisible power that existed throughout the air around us. Wias and his students began studying this so-called invisible power, and through countless experiments, they discovered that it could be interacted with through concentration and visualization."

Several students leaned forward, their attention fixed on Raquan as he continued explaining the principles that had shaped modern civilization.

"By concentrating your mind and visualizing this power circulating through your body, you begin to perceive a sensation when you come into contact with an object containing it. The stronger that sensation becomes, the greater the power contained within the object. Eventually, with enough focus, you can visualize a connection between yourself and the object, allowing you to extract and manipulate the power within it."

Raquan raised one hand, forming his fingers into a loose circle as if demonstrating the invisible connection himself. "Wias called the amount of energy that could be extracted and stored from an object its Magical Capacity."
