Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 940: Arrangement Is Necessary

Chapter 940: Chapter 940: Arrangement Is Necessary

Time seemed to move rather strangely. It was as if time didn’t want to move, but it was being moved either way.

This was different from the way time had felt before this era. Time also flowed easily, it flowed like an easygoing current of water.

It flowed so well that most beings would never be able to perceive it. Only those who were attuned to the power of time could sense the steady flow.

However, those same creatures that were attuned to the power of time had also begun to sense that time was no longer flowing easily, it was being forced to flow.

Time...wanted to stop.

It desperately wanted to stop.

But it couldn’t. Those drowned in the workings of time, especially the mortals, would not sense anything wrong.

But those who could sense beyond and think in terms of eons had noticed the inconsistencies.

Time lagged terribly. Sometimes it just skipped so badly and sometimes it was like it wanted to be reversed.

This was a phenomenon that was going to cause a lot of damage if care was not taken.

The source had to be found.

But how could one find the source of such time lagging that was happening all over the universe?

How could one even recognize the source if they found it?

Was the cause even an object or an individual?

After all, this was Time, the Law, not the event.

The Law of Time, unfortunately, was ownerless. Meaning that there was no Primordial or Avatar to blame for this.

That time was being held back would mean that time itself was not what was causing it to be held back.

Something else was having an effect on time.

Something...like change.

////

The war in Draconic Heaven may have ended with a golden bang but that was just the beginning of a blood-pumping campaign.

The lions were absolutely pumped for the next event.

Because now, they had sufficient evidence.

Their desires, their core civilization ideology and philosophy. The will and desire to conquer, it wasn’t merely a dream or a wish.

It was a literal reality.

How many had they conquered?

Hive Heaven.

Horror Heaven.

Soul Heaven.

And now, Draconic Heaven?

Each heavenly realm surrounded the first heaven that they conquered, the Leonine Heavenly Realm, the home of the Royal Race.

What could this mean?

In science, it was stated that some things were only considered theories or possibilities until they were proven multiple times with the same results.

By then, this thing wasn’t merely a hypothesis or a guess, it was a Fact.

The Conquering was an undeniable fact that could not be brushed away as the hopeful dreams of a tyrannical civilization of kings.

No, it was very much possible, and it was happening right now.

Draconic Heaven was swallowed up in the following week completely after the tragic death of the Emperor.

Many on the other side found it hard to believe. How could he have died when he had so many allies who shared a common enemy?

Even if they had abandoned him? Couldn’t he have fought back?

The truth that many didn’t want to admit was that Emperor Zain and the Dragon Empire at large were just overwhelmed.

Emperor Zain had been at the receiving end of a hundred supercharged All-Kings each of whom had over one thousand laws manifesting around their body.

He didn’t go down without a fight, but he went down either way.

They were not facing just one race, but a multitude of races led by one brutal and blood-craving species.

Power was dispersed and consolidated within the week.

The sphere of continents, or what was left of it was scraped, stripped, and repurposed for new things.

Each heavenly realm was closer to another Heavenly Realm metaphorically. In the Gap, there was no such thing as close or long distance.

Gap was Gap.

But the resources stripped from each heaven could be used to feed the Hegemony and its and satiate its bottomless hunger for conquest.

Following the fall of the Dragon Empire and the spread of the territory, some changes began to take place.

The rise in complexity always necessitates the coming of arrangements.

Things needed to be arranged and power needed to be consolidated.

The Lions were not fools, they had a vast record of historical events to learn from and they knew that expanding without reason was bad.

Expansion was necessary, but the core had to be dense first, only then would the civilization continue to remain stable as they brought carnage to every corner of the cosmos.

Firstly, they started to separate the use of each Heavenly Realm and understand what it actually brought to the table.

The Hive Heaven, home of the Bees and the Primordial Bee, was highly specialized in the production of honey.

With the oppression and harsh control of the kings, the bees had been forced to give up their precious honey for the sake of the war effort.

Yes, they had resentment and deep hatred, especially the surviving queens. But what could they do?

Their honey did not just benefit the lions, it benefited a lot of the powerful vassals under them like the wolves, vultures, hyenas, and many more.

Not to mention that the Hedgehog and Porcupine civilizations have started to add honey to the trade markets and banking system so that an accurate value can be produced and translated to Crab Coins.

If the Bees decided to rebel, the lions wouldn’t even need to do anything. The might of over two hundred Primordials would come crashing down, instilling pressure and putting them in place.

If not for the Primordial Bee, who was needed to produce the True Honey, they might have done away with her a long time ago.

Alas, all that was needed was for the Bees to continue producing the honey. This way, there would be no shortage of powerful individuals.

Currently, there were at least two hundred thousand immortals in the Hegemony. And that was adding the Lions.

The Lions alone had close to fifty thousand immortals.

Of course, the vast majority of these immortals were low-level and planetary at best.

An army of them could tear apart a single galaxy in a few hours or less.

This was all because of the True Honey. Before the war when the lions were still in original Heaven, there had been only about fifteen thousand or so lions.

This was very scary actually. Each lion was an absolute unit when it came to combat and they always moved in groups.

It was safe to say that fifty thousand low-level immortal lions was equivalent to two hundred thousand other lower-level immortals.

This was just the beginning though. Those who knew a little of Kael’s grand ambition knew that all this was just the prelude to greater things.

Most of the immortals that had been killed in Draconic Heaven were dragons with a few felines here and there.

The remaining powerful felines had all escaped.

The lions also knew that the number of Immortals that had existed in Original Heaven at that time was more than a million. Much more than that.

There was a lot of room for growth but as long as they monopolized money, one of their key worries would be settled.

Another of their issues was population, although this had temporarily been solved with the Second Chance joint feature.

The Second Chance feature allowed the users of the system to buy a Second Chance Insurance that guaranteed that they would be brought back to life with their memories.

This feature was not infinite though as it cost a lot of crab coins and the price was heavily dependent on the user of the Second Chance Insurance.

If the user was merely tier 5 or tier 6, the price was completely different from someone who was a low or mid-level immortal tier.

The higher the power level, the higher the cost. It was so expensive that some would only be able to afford it once and once only.

The Second Chance guaranteed that they would be born in Leonine Heaven, to lion parents, and with their memories intact.

In order to make sure that all goes well with this feature, there were some adjustments. The parents that would copulate to randomly birth this illegal reincarnation would be rewarded a little of the profit, depending on how strong the person was in their past life.

Since it was random, there was no way to select or choose. The insurers could not select their parents and the parents could not choose who would be born.

The parents might even give birth to a whole pride and still not produce one Second Chance insurer.

With this, the lions didn’t necessarily have to fear that much. Death would still come, but it was now way harder to kill them than it was before.

One would literally have to invade Leonine Heaven and wipe everyone out or kill the sources of the Second Chance Feature before they could drastically reduce the population of the Hegemony again.

And then came the matter of the other races, especially the Destruction Dragons and Creation Dragons, as well as that Primordial Hydra.
