Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 942: You’re Saying NonsenseChapter 942: Chapter 942: You’re Saying Nonsense
The way time continued to pass was absurd.
In the blink of an eye, a full year had passed. To some, it felt like a full year had gone by, to others, it felt like a single day.
Either way, progress was made and it was made at a very gradual pace.
While things happened with the Alphaverse and its spreading territory, other parts of the crumbling universe were not left unscathed.
True to the words of the god, Mortality, to Star, the rules were changing. They were being bent, twisted to extreme lengths or simply being dissolved.
This allowed many creatures who were still in the universe to be able to have a chance of survival.
To become a Divine Tier of any kind, one had to meet certain requirements.
A full fledged Divine Tier like Reincarnation or Change, one had to first be a Primordial or an Avatar.
At least, that was what they were told and what everyone close to that stage could say.
As for non-Primordials, there seemed to be hope.
Among the many events that were starting to take place everywhere, one of them was the interactions of the gods with all other forms of existence.
There was no need to follow the rules again. The gods could not stretch out their souls and project their powerful consciousnesses across the voids to interact with the regular folks of the mortalverse.
Mortality was able to visit Star in his true humanoid form. Although heavily suppressed, that had still been his original body.
How many more gods were now wandering amongst the mortals and Immortals of the crumbling world? What were these powerful beings doing?
Not many knew as not many even knew that there were gods walking amongst their midst in the first place.
In fact, ninety-nine percent of the inhabitants of the universe didn’t even know that there were actual gods that existed in their own heavens.
Not until recently when a lot of news about how to rise to the Divine Tier had been surfacing.
Suddenly, many powerful beings at the Supreme Level Immortal Tier were active in the universe, moving rapidly to visit some places or gather resources.
It was getting more chaotic.
Apparently, there was a way for ordinary creatures to taste a bit of the Divine Tier, or rather the Semi Divine Tier. The tier is best termed as the realm of demi-gods.
And with all this still happening, there were still many layers of fuckery waiting to be peeled back.
The one known as Gabriel, the traitor to the lions, was still running amok and he was getting more powerful by the minute.
The amount of slaves the Avatar of Slavery had amassed was incredible. And yet, by now reaching and dealing with this menace was nearly impossible.
Hordes of human-headed slaves patrolled the area around this being, making it so that one could not even get a glimpse of him.
And if care was not taken, Gabriel would continue to spread his influence until he reached a heavenly realm or gained access to divinity for himself.
By then, it might be too late.
But the gods, even though they now had a limited ability to walk in the mortalverse, saw this one called Gabriel and still did nothing about him.
Alas, he too was part of the grand plan. If someone could walk up and kill him, fine. That was good. But if not, it was meant to be left as it was.
It was only a matter of time before all of them clashed once again.
The main players of the survival game. The lions, the Felines, Gabriel, the gods, the Primordials, the Highest Will.
They could all sense it coming.
The great collapse of everything with and without meaning was approaching at a steady state.
Everything they all did only seemed to contribute to the end goal that the Highest Will had set.
How?
It didn’t matter.
What mattered was that they all survived this in whatever way they could.
Nobody that powerful wanted to die. The Supreme Level Immortals who were now exposed to the possibility of greater power, had become reluctant to die all of a sudden.
Overnight, after news of gods walking about was heard, the suicide rates of immortals dropped drastically.
There was something worth living for now.
As things were slowly escalating and the lions were continuing their unstoppable campaign to swallow up as many Heavenly Realms as possible, the very foundations of the universe were being peeled off.
As Mortality had said, the rules that were designed to keep the creatures of the universe in were also designed to keep the things that were outside...out.
And now, that rule was effectively gone.

"We shouldn’t have left!" Said the Primordial Turtle of Protection as they floated away, speeding through the void faster than the speed of light.
He was in his humanoid form, a large pudgy man he was. Tall with broad shoulders, a smooth brown-skinned face, and a kind expression.
Beside him, flying headfirst at the same speed, was his colleague, the Primordial Tortoise, and also his closest friend.
The Primordial of the Undying.
"What would have happened if we stayed? Don’t be dumb!" The Primordial Tortoise chastised his friend with a harsh expression. He was always the more pragmatic and cynical of the duo, even now.
His humanoid build was just like his friend. Tall, large with a strong-man build, a slightly protruding belly. His skin was light colored and also beardless with grey eyebrows.
"We could at least warn them..." The Primordial Turtle said, his voice trailing as his friend cast him a very dark glance.
"I know for sure that you cannot be that stupid," The Primordial Tortoise said.
"What?"
"Don’t you know what’s happening?" The Primordial Tortoise asked.
As they talked, they casually flew into a galaxy, soon coming out of the other side in a couple of minutes.
Just like that, hundreds of thousands of light-years’ worth of distance was crossed.
Casually, they had flown through some stars and shot through some planets on the way as they were going in a very straight line.
However, they were not unscathed at all. They left from the other side very quickly, continuing their conversation as they flew away.
"The universe will soon perish with everything within it. The Highest Will, the same person who chained us to the Outerverse, has forsaken us.
He has forsaken everyone and he wishes to start all over again from the very beginning.
No one knows whom he is going to do it to, but we must all survive the process, even if he doesn’t want us to.
Survival, that’s what matters right now.
And in matters of survival, there is no such thing as warning others. Understand me?
It’s a fucking race. You don’t need to be faster than what wants to kill you, you just need to be faster than the closest person around you.
This will give you more time to run and plan out survival activities. You have been alive for so long, I expect you to understand this by now!"
The Primordial Tortoise sounded vexed, rightfully so. The things his friend was asking them to do were very absurd. Did he forget that this was a wild universe filled with beasts?
"I understand, you’re the one not making any sense," The Primordial Turtle shook his head and sighed.
"How?" The Primordial Tortoise raised an eyebrow.
"Won’t it be better if we told others about what was coming? That way, they can prepare and fight in our stead.
The more we cooperate, the more we stand a chance of surviving together," The Primordial said.
The Primordial Tortoise looked at his friend, his face frozen in an expression of cold shock.
"I refuse to believe that you would utter such nonsense from your mouth. You cannot be that stupid!"
"What! Look, we helped Seth out and nothing happened. Seth might even know how to deal with those outsiders since he has something from there," The Primordial Turtle defended.
"You fool, you’re lucky you have me with you. Your new outlook on morality would have gotten you killed," The Primordial Tortoise had many things to say but decided not to say them.
He just said something short of an insult and kept the rest to himself.
"By the way, since when did you start to think like this?" The Primordial Turtle thought of something and asked.
He knew his friend. Yes, the Primordial Turtle and the ultimate Protector had a very strange savior complex, it was what made him who he was.
It was also what compelled him to help others like Seth even when he shouldn’t. But it wasn’t to this level. The desire to survive was meant to override this kind of thinking.
He might be kind but he was not THAT kind. Right now, he was basically asking that they do something that went against their very nature and their chances of survival.
Now that he thought about it, the Primordial Tortoise felt like this behavior was awfully similar to something he knew of.
Meanwhile, the Primordial Turtle continued talking, "I mean, right now, we can go and find Seth or the Felines and tell them about this.
We can band together and fight properly. Maybe with the power of cooperation, we can even win against the Highest Will..."
