After Marcus gave his orders, all the Grave Keepers opened their own personal grave portals that led to their personal Graveyards.

The stronger the Vulture, the larger the graveyard. The larger the graveyard, the more dead bodies it could hold.

And each Grave Keeper had a graveyard that was at least the size of a large mortal country.

At least.

Each and everyone of them literally had access to death land that would be considered ultra valuable real estate in Kael's past life.

The same amount of land that nations and empires went to war and burned themselves over, each Grave Keeper had it as a starter pack.

How nihilistic.

Marcus in particular had the biggest graveyard amongst all other Grave Keepers. This was strange also since Marcus himself couldn't be called a Grave Keeper.

Instead, the Grave Keepers were derived from his power and whether he was called a Grave Keeper or not, he would still be able to command the powers that they had.

He did not need a personal graveyard to do what the Grave Keepers did. But he kept one either way. Marcus had a temporary Graveyard that was so vast that he had yet to measure how vast it was.

Besides the times he had used it a bit in mock training with his subordinates, today would be the first day he would be using the Grave Keepers in a real battle.

The portal behind him trembled as it connected with the Law of Death.

Over at the Grave Heaven, various tombstones across the realm began to tremble as a terrifying power of death descended and began to summon what had already been changed.

Power coursed through the earth as…

*BAM!*

A creature burst out of the grave soil in Grave Heaven. Rising out of the land it had been buried in, it didn't cry or roar out. Those were expressions of a being that was actually alive.

All the beings who began to rise out of the ground were dead. Ninety percent of the undead creatures rising out of the graves looked like beetles of some sort with wide degrading wings and large oval-shaped abdomens.

Filthy and absolutely horrible slimy substances constantly dripped from their mouths and whatever could be identified as insect mandibles.

The Carrion Beetles, the former owners and rulers of the Grave Heaven that used to be known as Nether Heaven. Now their corpses filled the graves of these grave Keepers and acted as their undead assets.

Summoning Undead:

Undead Carrion Beetle…

One hundred tier 5 and twelve tier 6 Carrion Beetles…]

Such were the constant notifications that the Grave Keeping Vultures received in that split moment when the tension had risen to the absolute peak.

The Luthor Patriarch, Zayna, and the rest of the cats in their arkships who had just managed to start focusing their senses and detectors on the many strange and large vultures, were shocked by what happened next.

Swarms of undead beetles rushed out of the various portals, coming out in hundreds and thousands to form a cloud of carapace and exoskeleton that ravaged through the gaps of the cat fleet.

The commotion that everyone thought had reached its peak began to rise further again.

"No!" The Luthor Patriarch grimaced, quickly noticing what was about to happen.

A massive torrent of spirit power set up from his position, seeking to completely obliterate the minds of those beetles.

Every second that was wasted saw tens of thousands more of these undead beetles passing through the portal.

For the first time ever, unfortunately for the cat civilization, the Luthor Patriarch's powers did not work.

Stunningly so.

His spiritual might, as dense and powerful as it was, merely passed through the heads of the undead beetles, hitting nothing.

You cannot attack the mind of something that doesn't have a mind in the first place.

These things, these undead that had been unleashed by the Primordial embodiment of Death, did not have minds of their own.

They were literally immune to a certain extent.

"Hmmm," The Luthor Patriarch did not panic though. This was normal and he should have expected this after sensing the aura.

There were ways for people like him who had Spirit-based powers to handle this situation. He could forcefully create sentience in the minds of these undead and then take control of them.

That was something he was fully capable of doing.

He could also directly control the minds of the Vultures that were controlling these undead.

Unfortunately, both cost a lot of energy and the Luthor Patriarch was unaware of how long this battle would last.

The other members of the Feline Assembly were still far behind and their backs were against a literal universal wall.

"Zayna, hold them off as long as possible, Seth should open up any moment from now," The Luthor Patriarch said.

Zayna nodded her head and brandished her arms beside her. Pillars and tendrils of sand began to rise around her as she dashed into the chaotic swarm of undead beetles valiantly.

Meanwhile, the Luthor Patriarch turned around and dashed back to the shimmering wall that acted as the barrier to Seth's Alphaverse.

"Seth, son! Open up, now!" The Luthor Patriarch shouted again at the top of his telepathic voice. He knew that Seth had heard him.

Yet, Seth chose to ignore him.

Within the Alphaverse, Seth was not looking at all that was happening with joy or some kind of sadistic pleasure.

He derived no delight in seeing his father and kinsmen get attacked by the vultures and their necromancy.

At the same time, he was truly surprised by the sheer audacity these vultures had.

He had been wondering how Marcus and the Grave Keepers hoped to actually fight the cats when the cats had High Level Immortals and two Supreme Level Immortals in this single fleet alone.

Until he saw the undead beetles and knew that the All-King was seriously way more dangerous than he had expected.

But, Seth thought to himself, his father was not exactly someone who had his best interest at heart.

Then again, compared to Kael, the Luthor Patriarch was clearly the lesser evil. Seth would have to pick siding with his father over Kael's minions any day and any time.

So, begrudgingly, Seth decided to open his Alphaverse, offering a sliver of salvation to the cats.

Alas…in Royal Heaven, all was seemingly calm. All was to be well, it had to be.

The All-King sat on his Golden Crystal Throne and allowed a devilishly wicked smirk to creep upon his lips.
