One month later.
The internal activities of the two Alphaverses were unknown for the time being, as they seemed to have gone dark and kept to themselves.
Seth and Kael, the only two entities in the entire universe that had been their own Alphaverses, had gone completely quiet.
They had caused a ruckus and gone completely still.
But the universe itself was not quiet at all; in fact, it was only getting more chaotic every single second that passed.
The war between the Slimes and the Ants had reached new levels of total absurdity. It was now at a point when nobody could just act like nothing was happening.
Yes, they were inadvertently delaying the end day by keeping the Highest Will from consuming too much energy, but they were also destroying everything around them.
They did it in the most literal sense too. They weren't just going around destroying planets of quenching stars; no, they were wiping out entire galaxies every day.
At least, more than fifty galaxies would disappear every day because of the two factions.
At least…
How terrifying was that? A single galaxy would span hundreds of thousands of light years, hold hundreds of billions of planets, and have billions of stars.
A single galaxy was not something that could be played with at all. The sheer weight and power needed to scatter a single galaxy was impossibly large.
To think that the Slimes and Ants were actively turning at least fifty galaxies to dust every day left many feeling extremely small and insignificant in the face of the war.
How were they even supposed to defend themselves against such a massive war theatre?
The galaxies being destroyed were not even being destroyed intentionally; the annihilation of such galaxies was just the byproduct of a war between two gods.
There were some days when the number of galaxies being destroyed reached unreasonable amounts.
Five hundred, ten thousand, even one certain time that nearly one million galaxies were destroyed within the span of three hours.
Nearly one million galaxies within the span of three hours.
The exact events of that day were extremely blurry, as none of the people close enough to observe it had survived to tell what had actually happened.
Some say that another god had tried to intervene in the matter and that only caused it to escalate.
There was a little bit of truth to this, though, as some had noticed that Original Heaven, the former prison for the immortal lions, was now locked.
Infinite trees across the cosmos, all linked to Origin, the Tree God, had begun to shrivel up after that very day.
Had he been defeated? Did he use too much energy? Was he even involved in the conflict?
No one knew at all, as most of the gods were not talking. Even now that they could interfere in the affairs of the universe, they didn't. With Change and Order as the exception, the remaining gods were just keeping their energies to themselves.
This made some people realise something very dark. There was something wrong somewhere.
For the Ant God, it was very understandable that he was just acting on behalf of the Highest Will.
But Change was acting on behalf of himself. Why was he trying so hard to change everything? Why was he so desperate to keep the entire cosmos in a permanent state of chaos?
Couldn't he see?
He was being influenced by something else.
Another recent development was Star, the Primordial Moth of Stars. Recently, the forces of the All-King had come to a sudden halt on one of their many endeavours to conquer as many heavenly realms as they could.
The Lion Kings, in their blinding glory, had led the hyena army and goat battalions into the heat of the invasion campaigns.
Their target had been the newly discovered Stellar Heaven, a realm saturated with the Law of Stars.
There was no race besides the Moths affiliated with the Law of Stars. Star herself was a Singularity and had always been a Singularity from the beginning of the First Generation Race.
If the Lion Kings could get their hands on the Stellar Heaven, Kael would still not be able to create a Primordial simply because Star was still alive.
There were limits to what he could do with his Alphaverse as it was currently.
Still, Stellar Heaven was a massive gain that could give them leverage over the Moths, or it could be renamed and given to another Primordial that needed it.
Unfortunately, half of the Lion Kings that initiated the first wave of invasion were wiped out. The Stellar Heaven was now occupied by Star, the Primordial Moth, and a rapidly developing civilization of Stellar Moths.
Thankfully, the Second Chance Insurance Feature allowed some lions to come back to life after paying a heartbreaking price.
The lions, not being the kind to give up so easily, doubled down on their attacks. So what if there was now a new occupant? That was just resistance that needed to be eliminated.
Alas, the lions had finally encountered a force that was not going to back down at all.
Not only was Star a Supreme Level Primordial, but her powers were also being boosted by the Stellar Heaven that she was now controlling.
She also had billions of Star Moths at her command. She oversaw the war effort with a shining cold gaze.
Wherever she pointed, Kings died tragically. The number of arkships and arkworlds that were being sent to the frontlines of this war was in the billions.
Casualty rates reached a new record, as if the lions were trying to prove to the Moths that they were not afraid of throwing themselves at this enemy.
It was for The Conquering after all. Who could deny such motivations to dominate?
If that was all, then it wouldn't be that bad. The lions would just have to focus more attention on them. They might neglect all other war effects at the other heavens, but it would be worth it.
But it was soon discovered that Star was not alone.
Star and the Moth Civilization were now blessed by the presence of a certain Divine Tier entity.
Star had a very formidable guest backing her, and his name was Mortality.
