Reincarnated Femboy Vampire, with Max Survivability Stats
Chapter 44: Unknown FoeThe golden knight leaped out from behind the rubble of the ruined metropolis, lunging straight toward Malakai. Within a few heartbeats, the construct was looming over him, its massive golden greatsword raised high. With one fell swoop, the knight brought the blade down, aiming directly for Malakai’s head.
Clang!
Malakai raised his own shadow blade, effortlessly blocking the overhead strike and shoving the construct backward in the process.
Whiz!
Another arrow of light streaked past his face, nearly impaling his cheek. Malakai, of course, didn’t let the sniper’s interference bother him, immediately engaging in a high-speed exchange of blows with the golden knight.
Strike after strike clanged through the street, both combatants stubbornly holding their ground. Suddenly, the knight lunged forward, slamming its armored boot down into the stone to unleash a wide, horizontal crescent slash. Malakai shifted his weight with the fluid grace of a shadow, causing the heavy blade to cut through empty air.
The knight’s momentum forced it to spin around, a desperate, heavy attack that would have left it completely vulnerable to a counter-attack—but Malakai couldn’t capitalize on the opening. Several more light arrows rained down right over his head, striking the ground around him with tremendous, explosive power.
"Huh. So the standard light arrows are for direct striking and piercing force, while the holy arrows are designed for area-of-effect damage to disrupt my shadow sorcery," Malakai analyzed internally.
"Not bad."
"They actually know what they’re doing. Except... this knight isn’t even Rank 1. I may be weakened, but I’m not pathetic enough to lose to a mindless construct of this level."
With a confident smile stretching across his face, Malakai pushed off the black stones and engaged the knight in a fearless, close-quarters melee, both sides going all out.
Blades flashed in the darkness, skittering harmlessly off respective armor plating without landing a decisive wound. But as the frantic exchange dragged on, the knight rapidly began to lose the upper hand. Malakai was simply too strong.
Clang! Bang! Ring!
"Huuu..."
Deep in the ruins, the mysterious archer exhaled heavily, her fingers tightly gripping the drawstring of her great bow. The weapon looked imposingly massive next to her short stature.
She drew back the string, the resistance of the heavy, two-hundred-pound bow causing her muscles to pulse under the immense strain. "It’s time for you to finally rest, old man."
Beeeeem!
The arrow began to glow with a blinding intensity, illuminating a massive quadrant of the otherwise pitch-black city. With a violent release, the projectile ripped through the air, flickering like a falling star against the artificial sky.
Right as it traveled halfway to Malakai’s position, a massive crimson barrier manifested directly in its trajectory. The two opposing forces collided in a thunderous, blinding explosion. The resulting blast wave ripped the stone street and the surrounding walls clean out of the ground, hurtling debris in every direction. The sheer acoustic shockwave shattered every remaining glass window in the immediate vicinity.
"What?! Who?!" The archer hissed, clicking her tongue in frustration. "Tsk. Number One, fall back!"
Hearing its master’s frantic command, the golden knight spun on its heel to retreat. But before it could take two steps, another of Camilla’s crimson barriers slammed down from above, flattening the construct into the dirt with a resonant crunch.
"Crap... I need to run," she muttered, turning around to flee.
The exact moment she spun around, her eyes locked onto Yuki, who was rushing her position. A small glass bottle was flying directly at her face. Reacting on instinct, she drew a smaller bow and let loose a quick, snap shot, shattering the projectile to bits mid-air.
Suddenly, her danger senses flared. Predicting an imminent impact, she sprinted forward and rolled out of the way just as another of Camilla’s heavy barriers smashed into her previous position, reducing the already ruined masonry to fine dust.
She scrambled desperately back to her feet, preparing to make a tactical retreat, when Yuki’s long, armored tail whipped through the air. The sharp tip sliced a clean, shallow cut down her arm.
She tried to counter-attack, but yet another of Camilla’s barriers was already hurtling toward her. Realizing a three-versus-one ambush was a recipe for disaster, she decided to flee.
Bouncing over a collapsed building, she ran as fast as her legs could carry her. But unfortunately for her, her muscles suddenly gave out. Her breath became hitched and shallow as a sudden, intense wave of heat bloomed throughout her core. She tripped over her own feet, falling hard onto the ground. Her vision blurred, and her entire body felt as though it had been instantly transformed into a gelatinous membrane made of honey.
"What... what is happening to me?!" she cried out, trying to push herself up, but her arms completely lacked the strength to support her weight.
She slowly tilted her head up, only to see Yuki’s exceptionally pretty face staring down at her with a wide, innocent smile.
She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could utter a single syllable, Yuki reached down, grabbed her jaw, and tilted her head back. Forcing her mouth open, he tipped a small cup containing his venom directly down her throat.
She tried to resist, but her swallowing reflex kicked in, forcing her to gulp down a handful of the liquid before she violently wrenched her face out of his grip, spilling the remainder onto the dirt.
"Agh! Cough... what the hell did you just feed me?!" she demanded, her face instantly flushing a deep, radiant crimson.
"Don’t worry, it’s not poison. You’re not going to die," Yuki said, smiling as blissfully as ever.
"Then why... why is my body so hot? And tender?" she gasped, her vibrant orange eyes struggling to stay open as they welled with involuntary tears.
"Well—"
"What are you planning to do with me?!" she interrupted, her entire body trembling with genuine fear. "Are you planning to... to have your way with me? Please don’t! I’ll give you anything you want! I’m... I’m really good with my mouth—"
"What?! No! No, no, no, NO!" Yuki corrected her frantically, waving his hands in absolute panic. "Nothing of the sort!"
The archer blinked, looking thoroughly baffled despite her mounting arousal. "Isn’t that what you Succubus’s usually do?"
"I don’t know?" Yuki muttered.
"Huh?"
"I’m not a Succubus. I’m a dude."
"An Incubus, then?"
"I’m not one of those either."
"What?"
"I’m not a demon at all."
"But... but the tail, the ears, your ridiculous looks!" she protested, her voice growing strained. "And you literally said it was your venom! What other race besides a demon has a relaxant and an aphrodisiac for venom?!
Just as she said that a shiver ran through her body.
Nmm... oh gods, my body..."
"I’m a Pureblood Vampire," Yuki corrected proudly.
The archer’s eyes widened slightly. "Those things are still alive after all?"
"’Those things’? That’s just rude."
"Sorry, not sorry," she panted mockingly, trying to maintain her bravado.
Slightly annoyed by her attitude, Yuki raised his long, armored tail and playfully brushed the tip against her vibrant red-orange hair, before trailing it slowly down the column of her neck. The sudden, smooth sensation of his tail against her hyper-sensitive skin sent an absolute jolt through her system.
"Mmm... ah! Okay, okay! Stop that!" she cried out, squirming. "What do you even want from me?"
"Honestly? No idea," Yuki said casually, shrugging his shoulders. "I just wanted to stop you from attacking Malakai."
"..., What?" she asked, her brain completely short-circuiting.
