Chapter 607: Cousin, Are You Okay?

Chapter 607: Chapter 607: Cousin, Are You Okay?

Annabelle Linton was startled. She quickly snapped out of it and took off after Stuart.

"Stuart, stop!"

Stuart didn’t listen at all. Annabelle Linton shouted at him in English, "Mommy orders you to stop! Did you hear that!"

But Stuart still paid her no mind.

’He’s never been like this before!’

Annabelle Linton chased him frantically. Just as she was about to catch up, Stuart suddenly swerved and dashed across the road!

To his left, a blue Lamborghini sped toward him, showing no sign of slowing down!

"Stuart!"

Without a second thought, Annabelle Linton dashed toward her dog and scooped Stuart into her arms!

As the car barreled straight toward her, Annabelle felt certain she was about to die. And then—

"Watch out—"

Suddenly, a woman’s voice sliced through the air as she was shoved violently out of the way!

Annabelle Linton stumbled and fell to the side of the road.

THUD!

The woman who saved her was struck by the car and sent flying forward!

The driver, apparently startled by the person who had appeared out of nowhere, frantically spun the wheel. After a screech of brakes and a brief drift, the car finally slammed into a large tree on the roadside.

Annabelle Linton’s mind was a buzzing, dazed mess. Acting on pure instinct, she scrambled over to check on the woman who had been hit saving her.

But the moment Annabelle Linton ran over and saw the woman, she froze in place.

Because this woman was none other than—

Annabelle Ainsworth!

’Oh my god...’

’For a moment, Annabelle Linton couldn’t believe her eyes. She thought she was going insane!’

The scene of Annabelle Ainsworth’s funeral from her past life suddenly flashed before her eyes.

Her parents were doubled over in grief, weeping for their only daughter—a child they had outlived.

Annabelle Linton had even been present during her final surgery, a participant in the operating room. Annabelle Ainsworth had begged her to be there.

She had died on the operating table. Annabelle had cried for a long, long time, and felt guilty for a long, long time after.

’So what in the world is happening right now?’

’Who is this woman in front of me?’

’Is it Annabelle Ainsworth or someone else?!’

’No, my sixth sense is telling me this is Annabelle Ainsworth!’

Annabelle Linton was suddenly overcome with dizziness. She didn’t know what to do; it was as if her brain had stopped working.

Chase Lynch got out of his car and tapped Annabelle Linton on the shoulder. "Are you in a daze? There was an accident. Are you hurt?"

Annabelle Linton stared at him blankly.

Chase Lynch glanced her up and down. Seeing that she was unhurt but clearly terrified, he gave a slight, amused smile. "I’m the one who hit her. It’s got nothing to do with you."

Annabelle Linton was, in fact, terrified!

She looked as if she had seen a ghost.

Vivian Yates lay in a pool of blood as a crowd of onlookers gathered. Meanwhile, the two people at the center of it all simply stood in place—one frozen in a stupor, the other casually pulling out his phone to make a call.

"Yeah, over by South-Tech. Sidewalk across from Valoria City Bank. Get over here and handle it."

Hearing his voice giving orders, Annabelle Linton finally snapped out of it. She quickly pushed through the crowd and ran to Vivian Yates’s side.

Vivian Yates was already drifting out of consciousness. When she saw Annabelle Linton, she grabbed her hand and asked, "Cou...sin... are... are you... okay...?"

’Cousin?’

’Huh...’

"Thank you for saving me. I’m okay." No matter how flustered she felt, Annabelle Linton looked at the woman and asked with forced composure, "Who are you? Why are you calling me cousin? I don’t have a sister!"
