Chapter 506: Chapter-506

Heena tilted her head, her gaze pinning the girl down. "Are you talking about your original, biological family? Because your parents are already rotting in prison. The only people left in that house are your grandparents, who you actually care about. Accept the reality, Seera. Tell me, exactly what is this grand revenge, and who is it for?"

Seera stood completely paralyzed. She stared down at the invisible floor of the void, her small shoulders trembling violently, unable to speak a single word. She had no target left. The phantom enemies she was using as an excuse to stay had all been systematically dismantled by the woman standing in front of her.

Seeing the absolute terror radiating from the girl, Heena sighed. The sharp, interrogative edge vanished from her posture.

"You don’t want to be reborn because you are scared," Heena stated softly, finally voicing the ugly truth. "You don’t want to be reincarnated because you are absolutely terrified that you are going to suffer through all of this again."

Heena reached out and gently patted the top of the girl’s head, her touch surprisingly tender for someone with such calloused hands.

"But have you ever thought about the fact that staying here like this isn’t going to help you?" Heena asked, her voice quiet and grounding. "If you refuse to move on, your soul is just going to slowly dissipate into nothing over the years. And when that happens, no matter how much you try, or how much you regret it, you will never be able to get a chance to try again. So... why do this to yourself?"

Seera stood perfectly still under Heena’s hand.

The absolute, paralyzing fear that had gripped her soul for so long slowly began to fracture. For the first time since she had been pushed to her death, the heavy, suffocating fog of her trauma seemed to lift, chased away by the grounded, unyielding reality of the woman standing before her.

She looked up at Heena. She saw the tired, sharp eyes . She saw a warrior who had been broken, beaten, and killed in her own past lifes , yet still possessed the sheer audacity to stand up and fight again.

"Will it hurt?" Seera whispered, her voice trembling, though the tears had finally stopped falling. "If I go... if I am reborn. Will the next life hurt just as much?"

Heena didn’t coddle her. She didn’t offer a sweet, meaningless lie.

"Probably," Heena answered bluntly, dropping her hand from the girl’s head and sliding it back into her hoodie pocket. "Life is brutal, kid. It hurts. People will betray you, and the world will try to crush you. But the next time it happens, you don’t just sit there and take it. You bite back. You fight until you can’t breathe, and then you fight some more."

Seera stared at her for a long, quiet moment.

Then, slowly, a genuine, radiant smile broke across her face. It was the smile of a fifteen-year-old girl who was finally ready to go to sleep.

"Okay," Seera breathed out.

The moment the word left her lips, the edges of her navy green robes began to dissolve into brilliant, glowing amber butterflies. The heavy resentment that had anchored her to the void completely evaporated, leaving behind only the pure, refined energy of her soul.

"I am ready," Seera said, her voice echoing softly as her physical form began to scatter into light. She took one final step forward, raising her hands.

She gently cupped Heena’s face, pulling her down slightly, and pressed her glowing forehead directly against Heena’s.

"Take the rest of my vitality," Seera whispered, her voice sounding like a distant wind chime. "It is the only thing I have left to give. Protect them, Heena. And please... protect yourself, too."

A massive, overwhelming surge of cool, pristine energy flooded directly into Heena’s mind. It washed over her consciousness like a glacier river, instantly soothing the phantom burns of the tumor and fortifying the rapidly fraying edges of her nervous system.

"Thank you, General," Seera smiled one last time.

And in a blinding flash of golden light, the fifteen-year-old girl completely dissolved, her soul finally moving on to the cycle of reincarnation.

The void shattered like glass.

The first thing Heena registered was the sharp, bitter scent of burned moxa and crushed medicinal herbs.

The absolute silence of the void was violently replaced by the frantic, hushed whispers of the maids and the heavy, ragged breathing of the estate physician. The weightless freedom was gone, replaced by the crushing gravity of her physical body.

Heena slowly opened her eyes.

Her vision was blurry for a moment, the flickering candlelight of her bedchamber stinging her retinas. As her eyes adjusted, she realized she was lying flat on her back on the massive canopy bed. She could feel the distinct, metallic prick of dozens of silver needles embedded in her neck, chest, and arms.

"She is breathing! The tension is breaking!" the physician gasped from somewhere near the foot of the bed, his voice trembling with sheer relief.

Heena tried to turn her head, but her muscles felt like they had been beaten with heavy iron rods. A dull, exhausting ache permeated her entire body, the brutal aftermath of her nervous system locking up.

Yet, surprisingly, her head was perfectly clear. The agonizing, white-hot spike behind her eyes that had triggered the collapse was completely gone. In its place was a cool, steady warmth—the lingering gift of Seera’s soul vitality stabilizing the fragile vessel.

Suddenly, the heavy oak doors of her bedchamber were thrown open with such violent force that they slammed against the stone walls.

The maids shrieked and scrambled out of the way.

Samuel strode into the room.

His usual mask of the calm, calculating, mildly annoying husband was entirely gone. His dark hair was windblown, his jaw was clenched so tightly a muscle twitched violently in his cheek, and his eyes were completely devoid of their usual warmth. He looked like a predator that had just found its territory under attack.

He had clearly rushed back the second he received word of the emergency.

He bypassed the terrified maids entirely and stopped right beside the bed, his dark eyes locking onto Heena’s pale, sweat-drenched face. He took in the silver needles protruding from her skin, the heavy meridian clamps on her hands, and the sheer, terrifying frailty of her state.

"What happened?" Samuel demanded, his voice a low, lethal rumble that made the physician flinch.

"A... a sudden convulsive attack, My Lord!" the physician stammered, dropping to his knees and pressing his forehead to the floorboards out of sheer terror. "Her meridians locked entirely! It was a severe shock to the central nervous system. I had to induce a medical collapse to save her!"

Samuel didn’t look at the physician. He kept his eyes entirely on Heena.

Slowly, Heena forced her dry, cracked lips to move. "Stop... yelling," she rasped, her voice barely above a whisper. "My head... still hurts."

Samuel’s rigid posture broke instantly. He let out a sharp, ragged exhale, sitting heavily on the edge of the mattress. He completely ignored the physician and the maids staring at them.

He reached out, his large, warm hand hovering over her face for a second before he gently, carefully brushed a damp strand of hair away from her forehead, completely avoiding the silver needle resting at her Yintang point.
