After having a little moment for themselves, the duo gathered everything they needed for their cultivation. With AINOS’s help, Evangeline took photos of the chamber that contained the teachings about Celestia and what exactly it meant to become a Celestial being.
When the back door of the Control Room opened, it revealed a wide hallway that extended in both directions as far as the eye could see. Maximilian and Evangeline parted ways there.
Evangeline was almost on the verge of tears, reluctant to leave her husband. Nonetheless, she hardened her resolve and didn’t let her feelings hold Maximilian back. They needed clear minds to break through, after all.
As for Wukong, he decided to stay in the Control Room and perfect his All-devouring Art.

"No idea how long it will take on foot," Maximilian sighed. It had been over half an hour since he had started walking, yet he was still seeing the same metallic walls with massive doors at regular intervals. The glowstones embedded in the roof only illuminated up to a hundred metres ahead and behind him to conserve their energy.
His wings expanded at his back, his feet leaving the metallic floor as he flew through the hallway, breaking the sound barrier.
The same scenery repeated for over ten minutes until the end finally became visible to him.
A gigantic door with the face of a dragon engraved on it stood at the end. Maximilian tried to push it open, but it didn’t even budge.
"AINOS, open the door," he commanded.
Thankfully, the AI worked everywhere inside the spaceship.
The years of accumulated dust on the door fell to the ground as it turned into nanoparticles, dissolving into the side walls on both sides.
A blue-coloured translucent barrier was still there, most likely blocking anything outside from interfering with the inner area.
What lay beyond left Maximilian with his mouth agape. The surface was covered in clean, still liquid, completely transparent. The black floor beneath the liquid shimmered with countless stars, like a drawing. Even the walls and ceiling had similar drawings. A path of glowing blue slabs led to a circular platform at the centre. It was as if the platform had been placed in the vast cosmos itself.
From how clean the room seemed, it was hard to believe that this place had been abandoned for thousands of years.
"I-I wouldn’t be surprised if someone was actually cultivating here," Maximilian murmured as he stepped inside.
His body was suddenly struck by a wave of pure, natural Soulforce the moment he entered. The door behind him closed again, sealing him inside.
"D-dear Heavens, I have never felt such pure Soulforce before," Maximilian exclaimed, breathing in the fresh air. Even Valcyrion, the dragon city where the Soulforce was the purest and most cleansing across the entire world, didn’t possess such a level of purity.
"If I were at the Low-Tier Realm, I would have broken through just by breathing here," Maximilian murmured as he moved towards the platform through the path of stone slabs.
Once he sat cross-legged on the platform, he called AINOS. A display materialised before him out of thin air.
"Does this place contain a spiritual vein?"
Yes. The inhabitants of the spaceship used this room to break through to the Celestial Realm. It contains spiritual veins that produce pure Soulforce, helping cultivators calm their minds and cleanse their souls.
Maximilian couldn’t have asked for a better place for his cultivation. He was about to begin when a thought crossed his mind.
"I should tell Vivi to cultivate here," he murmured. "She needs it more than me."
The Vice-Master also went to the identical room on the opposite side.
AINOS’s mechanical voice revealed.
Would you like AINOS to contact the Vice-Master?
"O-oh, there were identical rooms," Maximilian raised an eyebrow in astonishment. "Then it’s fine. Don’t contact her. Let her focus on her cultivation."
Understood.
From his storage pouch, Maximilian drew everything he needed for his breakthrough.
He threw the hundred Rank-Seven cores of death demons into the air. They began slowly revolving around him, forming a ring.
The remaining three materials hovered before him in the air.
A hand-sized, black-coloured root with countless shimmering stars on its surface. It seemed similar to the design of the room. It was the Root of the Eternal Tree.
The chamber in which he found the root also contained information about it. The Eternal Tree was one of the naturally forming Heavenly Treasures of the world where Dragons and Phoenixes once lived. It could help cultivators connect to the endless cosmos.
Arcturus believed that their tribe was invaded because their enemies coveted this treasure. Before leaving, he destroyed the Eternal Tree and brought four roots with him. Maximilian found three of them in the chamber, while the fourth root was taken by the Phoenixes.
It was only then that Maximilian realised that the World Tree where the Phoenixes currently lived was once the Root of the Eternal Tree.
He had given one root to Evangeline and kept the last one safe in his storage pouch.
Celestia Marrow was the other thing that hovered before him. It was a crystal in the shape of a drop, with thin threads of white energy hovering around it.
Unlike the Root of the Eternal Tree, which could be planted and turned into a tree again, Celestial Marrow was a limited resource native to the world they had come from.
There were only five crystals of Celestial Marrow that he found in the chamber. Naturally, one of them was taken by Evangeline for her breakthrough.
The last material was a jade bottle. It contained one drop of Heaven’s Tear, something that was formed by extracting the energy of ten thousand kilograms of Mid-Tier Grade One Soul Stones and transforming it into one drop of water.
"Everything has been prepared," Maximilian murmured, forming a series of hand signs.
The dark cores in the air stopped moving, multiple threads emerging from each of them. They converged into one thick thread at the centre and began entering Maximilian’s body through the golden gem on his chest.
"It’s time to step a foot into Celestia."
