Third Person Point of View

Now, why weren’t the guards overwhelmed immediately by the mob? They were outnumbered a hundred to one, hit with a surprise attack that killed some of them, and many of the mob were armed with weapons and knew the attack was coming before it did. So, why were so many mansions still holding out, even though they all should have fallen in minutes?

There were a few reasons. Firepower. The mansions had plenty of firepower to make up the difference. The outside mob had guns, but they were also less cohesive as a group. Some of the rioters even attacked their own to steal their guns. It was a byproduct of not fully controlling the group you’re trying to lead, and that led to another reason.

Cowardice. For every hundred rioters, maybe two or three were willing to risk their lives without being forced to beforehand. If they’d all rushed the buildings and beaten the doors down before rushing in, there would be no counterplay to the overwhelming mob. But that didn’t happen; instead, most groups were fighting each other as well as trying to break in to steal from them. Which led to the next reason.

Greed. Everyone only cared for themselves, and only a few of them cared for their own people. It led to most of the group infighting, and every mansion that fell quickly became a charnel house of death from people fighting over the spoils. A large number of people who got something from this had already left.

Another huge reason was the power advantage the mansion group had. Most of the rioters were unpowered, while almost every mansion had at least one powered individual living inside. If they weren’t powered, many of the guards and some of the police had taken the stat-boosting drug that would render them unable to gain power.

In the future, they’d most likely regret that being twice as strong as you were would only improve your odds of living slightly, while a good power would let you live the good life until you were overthrown. Still, you had to live long enough to regret taking the serum, and many who hadn’t wouldn’t because they hadn’t. The guards had a much higher survival rate than the policemen, and it would most likely be the breaking point for many of them to start taking this apocalypse seriously.

A huge number of them would take that stat boost serum, and some were even contemplating it at the moment. Some were even pondering it right now… Specifically, police chief George. He held the syringes in his hands during a reprieve from the fighting as he thought about the future. Once again, you had to survive in order to regret doing things that would hurt your future. With the decision made, he began handing out the blue liquid while he looked at an orange vial… Steadied his breath and injected himself.

Ester killed another animal. She had scared off the man and was now making her way through the freed animals. They were slowing her progress down, though, not because they were a threat, but because she was consuming her fill of blood from every animal she killed. One of her surviving guards chimed in. “Miss, I think we s-.” She glared in his direction, drawing a spark of fear from him as he corrected himself.

“Master… I think we should hurry; the last report we’ve had from our checkpoints was that the real threat is already on its way.” She wiped the blood off the corner of her mouth as she asked. “Oh? And how far does he have to travel from the first checkpoint to here? We still have hours, and that is more than enough time to finish slaughtering his people.”

The man could only nod and gulp in fear at his commander. He was one of the few who could still speak back without being slain outright, too valuable to become a thrall, but that still didn’t mean she wouldn’t punish him after they were successful. A smile formed on her face at the thought of him cowering in fear as she drained him dry.

Little did she know, the real threat was tearing ass, wiping out checkpoints so fast they couldn’t report back as he flew over; whatever time she thought she had was quickly running out.

Dominic and Alicia were roughly pulled out of the mansion. They could only defend for so long, and both had burned through most of their power; both were only fending off the people trying to enter through the weapons inside the mansion, but because everyone else in the mansion hadn’t helped, they were overwhelmed. Instead of just killing them, though, the crowd remembered how many these two killed.

They were going to make an example out of the two of them. Dominic had two or three men holding each of his arms down, while another punched his defenseless face, while Alicia got the worst part of the deal. Men openly groped her as they ripped and tore at her clothing. Dominic ignored the punches, screaming at the group pawing at the girl.

Angry at himself for needing her help. Angry at the crowd, who were going to do far worse to her, as some of the men were starting to strip. And angry that he couldn’t do anything about it. He screamed out in impotent rage as he was punched in the face again; the only reason he was still conscious was that Dominic was stronger than most, and the person hitting him was pulling his punches. It wouldn’t do if he passed out too early after all.

They forced her to the ground; some of the men fought over who would get to go first, then the victor moved to take his place. He began stripping off the rest of her clothes, leaving her in just her panties as the group all leered down at her, the person who had killed so many of them. Most of this group was part of the vampires faction and leaned more toward the evil side.

He smiled as he bit his tongue, already imagining the pleasure he’d feel from her and the despair he’d make the two feel from the interaction… Right as a bone spike pierced the side of his head, killing him instantly. The crowd all looked on in shock at what had just occurred, but then all hell broke loose as another dozen bone spikes killed those in the crowd who had weapons.

Even though the crowd was mostly a single faction, it still scattered in fear as more and more of them suddenly died. They couldn’t see where the attacks were coming from because the attacker was so far away, literally curving the spikes to reach as far as they did; he was aiming for the man's junk and hit him in the head instead. But more and more kept dying, and soon they heard music playing from the sky, looking up to see a small figure slowly growing larger as the music kept getting louder.

‘Dance till You’re Dead remix’ Played as he kept getting closer, not letting anyone escape the spikes as dozens, then hundreds, were killed before he arrived, picking up the already fired spikes and killing even more. The music was now blaring so loud it almost drowned out the mob's screams of fear… Almost. “Heads will roll. Heads will roll. Heads will roll on the floor!”

Chapter 85

I looked at the number of dead people I just made. Aiming mostly for the head so they wouldn’t come back as zombies. The ground was covered in so many bodies that it was hard to see any ground that wasn’t covered. Alice covered herself in a panicked manner now that men weren’t holding her down, and I looked Dominic in the eye as I spoke. “Thank you for putting up such a good fight that I could make it here. We’ll have to talk after I take care of these other houses.”

I didn’t even look at the people inside the mansion; they were pulled from; I could feel them inside. My bone spikes curved around corners, hitting everyone I didn’t recognize as I calculated how many of our men were dead. So far… It wasn’t looking good. I spotted over a dozen of our guards on the ground when I came in; even if no more were dead, that was still a good amount.

Almost double the number of dead police; their numbers seemed to have been the worst hit, like they were targeted specifically or something. In just seconds, the forty-plus invaders who were inside the mansion, some even trying to hide after hearing all the screaming coming from outside, were dead… Or would be in the near future as the bonespike hit a fatal area.

“This building is safe. Go back inside and bunker down until I give the all cl-.” *Bang! Bang!* Someone shot at me, and in the same moment, I pulled out a gun myself and fired back. Both our bullets struck true, but only one was fatal, and it wasn’t the one that hit me. “Until I give the all-clear.” The mansion closest to the entrance, the one with all the bodyguards, was mostly unscathed. They knew where the real firepower was when they broke in, and avoided this area completely as they dismantled the defenses for the other mansions.

Something lands behind me, and I almost fire on instinct, but I feel who it is before I do. Beatrice teleported. She looked disheveled, but surprisingly okay, just tired. I moved straight into questioning. “Is everyone alive?” She shook her head no. “All the people in the main building who were inside when they attacked are. But Victor, Alicia, and Alex were outside when the explosions went off. None of them made it back in.”

“I just saved Alicia; I doubt they’d target Alex. He’s just a kid after all. And Victor can take care of himself.” As if he waited for me to finish, Alex came running up with his rapid speed, clearly distraught by what happened and all the bodies, as tears unconsciously slid down his face. He cried out before throwing himself into Beatrice’s arms.

I warn them. “Get inside unti-.” *Bang! Bang!* “Are these people going to kill themselves by firing at me every time I try to talk? Jesus, this is getting ridiculous. Get inside until I give the all-clear that it’s safe to come out!” Beatrice looks toward the mansion before teleporting away. I can see her silhouette in the window before she moves out of frame with Alex.

I tear through the rest of the mansions; most were either completely unscathed or destroyed with no survivors inside. More than half of the residents were dead, and that included Justin, the kid I saved from the hospital, and his entire family. All were moving around as zombies as I wondered if it was okay to gain control over them. Justin was strength-based powered, so worth more to keep even if it would piss some people off that I did it to one of our own.

I doubted I’d get as much pushback now that this attack happened, though. Anyone who had taken their safety for granted was most likely no longer alive, and if they were, they might view things differently after the life-and-death struggle. I could feel it, though; my powers were expanding slowly, and the radar-like feeling I had for powered individuals was more than any other power I had. I could feel someone particularly strong that I didn’t know fleeing from the back part of the mansion. The part where all the fruit trees and animals were located.

I moved at a faster speed as Victor hopped the fence near the front, and I told him. “Make sure everyone is okay. I’m going to deal with the last group.” Victor looked on in shock at the sight of hundreds dead before what I said settled in. “Be careful, she’s strong and fast.” I felt that she was able to keep up with my pace, at least my own insane running speed.

She knew I was here, and I could still hear firing coming from the back part of the mansion as I rushed in that direction. Ignoring the men still pushing toward the buildings as I just straight killed them without slowing down. My radar sense felt them, and they all felt wrong; only one or two out of the men behind, holding assault rifles, still felt human. But I couldn’t think about that right now; I needed to kill the real threat, the powered who made them that way.

I was mad; whoever thought they could attack mine while I wasn’t here and get away with it was delusional, and I would chase them down no matter what. I didn’t just want to catch them; I wanted to make them think they had a chance to get away, then crush their hopes.

Ester’s Point of View

I had deceived myself into thinking I was something more than human. That I was a being above them, but I couldn’t delude myself any longer. I was terrified, afraid for my life as I ran away. We heard the screams come from the mansions, some loud enough to be heard from miles away, then… Nothing, just screaming one moment, then dead the next.

My eyes wide open, so afraid I couldn’t help but cry as I sprinted as fast as I could, lungs burning, muscles straining, but I didn’t care; I needed to escape. I needed to get away from him. What the hell was I thinking!? The moment I saw him, I should have cut my losses and gone somewhere else. I just wanted to live. Let me live, damn you!

I jumped up, grabbed the wall blocking off the mansion from the rest of the world, and pulled myself up so fast I cleared the wall in a single motion, landing on the other side and sprinting, not assuming I was safe just because I made it out. I ran like that for miles; only then, after making it to the fallback house, did I stop to catch my breath, terrified he was still chasing me. I waited. One minute became two, then ten. I waited an entire hour before I finally left the fallback point we set up.

My body was still shivering in fear from the feeling I had when he showed up. I didn’t even see him, but just the feeling of his power, the sound of men crying one instant, dead the next, was enough to have my enhanced animal instincts send me fleeing in fear from the area. Looking around, I finally started to calm down when I heard a voice above me. “Oh, I’ve never seen a pseudo-undead like you before. What are you? Like a succubus or vampire?”

Chapter 86

Sometimes life can be funny. How often was I at death's door in my previous life just to flip the situation on my attacker, blinding one of the most powerful individuals, all because he thought becoming metal made him invincible? I was a weakling, and the moment I got a drop of real power, I was killed. Looking back, it made the most sense, but now I can only see how pointless and funny my previous life was.

Even then, I never would have predicted things to play out like this. “I’m cumming!” I had the sexy vampiress creaming on my cock. What should have been a life-or-death struggle devolved into our carnal lust being satisfied. I had to think back on how things played out like this when, in so many other situations, things would have become a mercy killing… And I swear it wasn’t just because this vampire bitch was extremely attractive… Although it did play a part, obviously.

She tried to run, of course. It was one of the only things that made sense in her position. She just lost the army she had built up; her attack was completely thwarted, and she was alone. Of course, she’d try to flee and recover before attacking again, but that was why I had to stop her. She wouldn’t be getting a second chance.

I flew behind her as I taunted. “You really think you’re going to outrun me?” She screamed a primal scream of terror as she ran even faster. I was all but done with her running. I watched her think she was safe, and now it was played out. Her life was over. As I pulled a shard of bone to form it into a spike, she cried out. “Why did you leave me!?”

It was such an odd statement that it confused me enough not to immediately murder her. “What? What do you mean?” I didn’t recognize her; if I  had, I would have definitely given her the chance to be with me. She screamed again. “The car parking lot!” I tried to think back and remember, and then it all came back at once. The stuck-up bitch whom I offered to help, who constantly questioned me.

I remembered being annoyed at her because she didn’t trust me and ignored all the help I offered her. Why the fuck would I  want an annoying woman constantly questioning my decisions living with me? So I left her there to her own devices. She had changed so much that I couldn’t even recognize her. Before, she was a soft six, maybe with a little Wednesday Addams look to her; she could have had a chance, but she blew it.

Now, though, I could tell her entire appearance and attitude had changed. I wasn’t sure how she gained her powers, but her powers changed her attitude completely, going from a soft six to a nine or ten in looks. It wasn’t as dramatic as my own change, but still enough not to recognize her. The guarded woman I first met would have never thought of the plan to take my territory. She also wasn’t purely human anymore. I hadn’t heard of anyone unlocking succubus or vampire powers in my previous life, but I thought that was what she gained.

Killing her now would be a waste. But I could control the undead… Was she considered enough to turn to my side!? Attempting it on her, I felt much more resistance, as whatever I did made her stop running suddenly. She turned to look at me now, and I felt the connection I was trying to form snap the moment she fought against it.

If I didn’t have such a strong tolerance for pain, I would have reeled back from it instead of remaining stoic in her face. That was a no-go then, but it was enough to get her to stop. “Can we talk? It would be a shame to kill you because  you keep running.” And that’s what we did. Even now, it didn’t feel like she was the same person; the difference was as big as the difference between Melissa and Lissa.

The stick-up-her-ass bitch died when she gained her powers. Now, there was only a ruthless nonhuman willing to do anything to be on the winning side. And after she realized I wasn’t going to kill her, her entire attitude shifted to placate me and try to get on my good side. Convincing me that she hadn’t killed a single one of my people, only killing the animals in the back.

And that’s how I ended up buried inside her, as a form of payment for all the problems she caused. She’d be making it up to me over the next few years, and if she ever tried anything like this again, she wouldn’t get a second chance. But even a vampire couldn’t do everything by itself. She wanted to feel powerful, but in the presence of real power, her goal shifted to latching herself to it.

I wasn’t being gentle, and it appeared she didn’t want me to be. Pounding her harder and faster than any of my other women because I’d be scared of hurting them, she took it all while moaning like a ghost. The sturdy bed broke underneath us as I came inside her, with her reaching her seventh orgasm. But that wasn’t the end of it. Only after another four hours of sex did I consider her mine now, and I only stopped because I had to make sure other idiots weren’t trying to come inside through the exposed walls.

Fixing everything would only take a day or so, but the real problem would come if people on the outside tried to stop it. We flew back on my bone throne, her sitting on my lap like a claimed prize. I caught her unconsciously rubbing her belly; pouring my seed into her made some of the color come back to her pale skin.

I did have to kill some stragglers; some people did come back into the boundaries, and I had to put them down. Now wasn’t the time to be passive; they needed to see just how ruthless I could be, killing everyone stupid enough to come in when they noticed all the bodies still there. Sorting everything out after took the rest of the day, and there was another scare when the bus with Sophia and Maria finally arrived, but by then, I had moved most of the bodies out of the gated area with my storage power.

Only Victor knew that Ester was part of the invading group, and that she was a higher-up, but he didn’t know she was the leader and the real reason behind the attack. Everything somehow worked out, and the only thing my girlfriends(specifically Vicky) didn’t like was that I went there to save Sophia’s sister and came back with two other women by my side.

That talk quickly ended when I pointed out how most of my CDs were ruined because someone thought it would be funny to put random funny songs throughout each CD. Vicky tried to run away, but I caught her. We had only been gone about a week, but it was enough for my girlfriends to crave me. It wasn’t an orgy so much as me claiming each of them again while the rest watched and waited their turn.

The attack that should have been a bad thing was actually good, because it showed everyone that the moment we showed weakness, everyone would pounce. Most of the people dead were just refugees who pushed inside to try and take something for themselves when the real opposing group broke in. To survive, we had to become ruthless. So, since none of the people from my mansion died, we actually made out better than if it didn’t happen; only fodder and people not directly under me died, which freed up more houses to give to my own people. Victor, his family, and the doctors could finally move out, and it was about time.

Melissa and her older self approached me the next day. Both had sheepish looks on their faces because they didn’t know how I would act as they both spoke. “We’re pregnant.”

Chapter 86.5

Protagonists women

Melissa Shield- Meek big-tiddy half-Japanese/ half-Jewish girl with the zombie transformation power. Had a crush on the protagonist before the apocalypse and became feral in the original timeline. The protagonist storing her body is why he was killed and sent back in time.

Lissa- Bold big-tiddy half-Japanese/ half-Jewish girl who is a purified zombie. She is actually Melissa brought from the original timeline. After going fully feral, seeing the protagonist and freezing at the sight of him was enough to get her killed, but she regenerates. After storing her dead body and removing her core, she had just enough power to revive with a fraction of her true power.

Vicky Whitney- Bubbly girl with blonde pixie cut hair, perky tits, and the equipment upgrade power. The protagonist went to her because of how rich she was, and most of the supplies gathered before the apocalypse were from her spending her money. Didn’t originally want a power, but was forced to take one in order to help fight off the invading rioters after the wall was breached.

Jade Black- Raven-haired beauty who was working as a nurse; the protagonist knew from the original timeline with an analyze power. In the original timeline, she was there to help fight against Lissa and was the first to die. Extremely attractive in the first timeline because, as you become more powerful, your body improves, which made her more attractive than most celebrities using filters.

Ellen Marco- Redhead hospital patient; the protagonist rescued her from certain death, which is what happened in the original timeline. Perhaps the most conventionally attractive woman who slept with the protagonist since he returned from the past. Has plant manipulation powers, one of the strongest powers for both defense and growing food.

Sofia(Sofie) Maximillion- The love interest of the protagonist in the original timeline. She is black, has perky tits, and a fat ass. Her power is animal taming. Wasn’t sure about joining the harem, but is sexually attracted to the protagonist enough to give it a chance. The reason the protagonist wasn’t at the base during the attack was that he went to save her sister, who tragically died in the first timeline.

Maria Lopez- Mexican policewoman with energy blast powers. Her father has had to save her multiple times from being fired as she takes her job too seriously. She is kind of dumb. She is the most gun-ho about following the protagonist, even when he’s doing something evil, and has changed the most since the apocalypse happened.

Luna Bright- Italian brunette secretary who gained a permanent wolf form. Bonded with the protagonist, which means she can’t go against him. She would rather die than lose him, even to the point of risking her life if it meant making him more comfortable. She would never have to, though, because the protagonist is too powerful to ever need her to sacrifice herself.

Darcy- Slutty blonde with the elasticity power. She was sleeping around because her original boyfriend left her immediately after they slept together, and was getting back at him. Even still, has slept with less than ten men, and is the most sexually open to experimenting or going with the flow in most situations.

Beatrice- Blonde Kristen Stewart look-alike. Has an athletic build and vision-based teleportation power. Fought against the prisoners when they invaded, before her boyfriend betrayed her and joined them, while tying her up and forcing her to watch him cheat on her.

Millie- Plain gamer girl with supergirl-like power that also makes her more attractive once she gets it. She is currently the strongest member when her power is active; while it’s not, she is only slightly stronger than a normal human.

Ester- Black haired Karen-type person who gained a vampire power that changed her personality. Didn’t consider herself human anymore after gaining her vampire powers, but now does again after the protagonist put the fear of god in her. The most ambitious of all the harem members.

Friends

Alex Shield- The teenage half-black, half-brother of Melissa with the 10x speed power.

Akiko Shield- The mother of Melissa with the cleansing aura power.

Serena- Sophia’s sister, who is a lesbian with the kinetic explosion power.

Hayley- Millie’s sister and Serena’s girlfriend, bisexual, invisible shields.

Dominic- Big black guy with water manipulation power. Was friends with the protagonist in the first timeline.

Duke- Redneck mechanic with no powers. Friends with the protagonist in the first timeline.

Victor Creed- An Old black pastor with telekinesis power. One of the better fighters out of the group.

Alicia Creed- Sixteen-year-old daughter of Victor, who died in the first timeline, has the fire manipulation power.

Justin- Lanky white kid with 5x strength power. Died during the raid.

Luca Bright- Luna’s brother with no powers.

Howard Barns- Sickly doctor with 15x intellect power. In a relationship with Brandy Berg, he knows the protagonist will kill him if he becomes a threat.

Brandy Berg- Viking surgeon with the string manipulation power.

Bill Williams- Boss, died after not listening to the protagonist when he tried to warn them.

Dug- Male dog with the mental communication power.

Quinn- Female dog with the slow, constant growth power.

Known enemies

Wannabe Negan <He changed his name to Negan, metal manipulation>

Dale <Super hero wannabe, bioelectrical control>

Protagonist- Danny Storm. He was weaker than most in the original timeline, as his storage power was useful but not worth powering up by the more offensive powered individuals. Only became so strong after unlocking his second and third powers right at the end of his life in the first timeline. When he travelled back to the beginning of the apocalypse, it also altered his body, making him far bigger, stronger, and more handsome than he ever was before. Is rank four in all three of his powers after consuming Lissa’s core.

Space Power

Spatial dimension- A self-created power that allows him to warp, pull things into his storage, and works as a radar to scan people to see if they are powered

Inventory- Alternate dimension storage space. Slowly growing bigger as time goes on, but can be increased in size by consuming cores and increasing his rank.

Item duplication- Can duplicate up to five pounds of material every single day. Originally only one pound before he gained his second and third powers and consumed Lissa’s zombie core.

Passive storage item creation- Can turn raw materials into other items as long as he knows how it's made, slowly over time.

Vehicle storage- Separate storage for vehicles. Current limit at the moment is three, but it also improves over time or with the consumption of zombie cores to increase the power's rank.

Power storage- Can duplicate the powers of other individuals, similar to the original, but not exactly the same power. This is how he gained the zombie transformation power from touching Lissa in the original timeline.

Plant and Animal storage- Can store an ever-increasing number of plants and animals in a separate dimension.

Time Power

Increased growth speed- Increases the speed at which the protagonist's power grows naturally. The current bonus is 2.5 times normal.

Speed/slow for storage- Increase or decrease the time in all storages. Current limit is a x15 increase or decrease.

Slow-mo- Speed up thought processing as if time were going slower.

Item stasis- Can stop time for up to three items.

Slow/speed aura- Can slow down or speed up time for everything around the protagonist. A very draining technique, current limit space is thirty feet, current limit decrease or increase x2.5.

Zombie Transformation Power

Lich form- Gain one additional intellect per rank of zombie transformation power. When in zombie form, gain one to all stats per rank.

Bone manipulation- Can create and manipulate bones outside of the body. The main form of the protagonist's attack as it doesn’t have much draw against fatigue.

Zombie control- Can manipulate an ever-increasing number of zombies. Powered zombies can fight against it more than non-powered ones. Eventually, the connection stabilizes, and they can no longer fight against it.

Corpse conversion- Turn a dead body into a zombie.

Corpse explosion- Make a corpse explode. A completely useless power, so far as it leaves behind a massive mess, and is extremely physically and mentally fatiguing
