Chapter 918: Chapter 726: The First World (Part 2)

The ground beneath their feet was nothing but scorched earth, with no patch of land intact.

No plants, no animals, nothing at all, only silence and desolation filled the air.

Even a cultivator devoid of emotions would feel a shiver and a sense of sorrow at the sight of this barren and terrifying place.

"How should I search?" Qin An pondered for a moment, then started moving in a direction without further ado.

Since there was no direction, he would search everywhere, surely he would find something unusual.

He flew in the sky, overlooking the earth and the distant mountains.

All he saw was dead silence, a world aged by destruction.

Vaguely visible, this place should have been once filled with high-rise buildings, bustling crowds, animals, and lush plants, but now there is nothing, just endless ruins.

The more Qin An looked, the heavier his heart grew, until he arrived at a place where he finally stopped mid-air.

Ahead was a dense forest. Upon closer look, it seemed ordinary and as dilapidated as its surroundings, yet it contained a hint of special power.

"This is an array, a very skillful array." Qin An squinted his eyes, musing to himself.

As a Level 25 Array Master, he possessed unimaginable skills in the art of arrays, thus he immediately noticed the peculiarity of this place.

Being able to set up a defensive and concealing array here must mean this is a world of survivors.

Qin An thought for a while, refraining from breaking the array hastily.

In fact, the array was immensely powerful, even he would need quite some time to break it.

The presence of an array indicated that there were people inside.

Qin An decided to follow some protocols first.

Thinking of this, Qin An descended from the sky and stepped towards the forest.

With that step, the array around him began to rotate, and countless sharp swords flew towards him as if to pierce him.

Dharma Aspect rose from Qin An’s body.

Upon contact with the sharp swords, the array trembled violently.

Yet, he remained unfazed and took another step forward.

Cracking this array would indeed take time, but relying on the Dharma Aspect and his understanding of arrays, he could easily pass through unharmed.

As he took this step, the flying swords seemed to weaken a bit.

Qin An raised his voice and called out, "I am the Savior, here to discuss something important. Please open the array, or else I shall have to break it myself."

As soon as his words fell, the surroundings fell into silence.

Soon after, the terrifying array resonated loudly, then split open with a crack.

A man walked out from not far ahead.

He was dressed simply, holding a long sword in his hand.

He looked at Qin An cautiously, probing, "Are you truly not one of those Heavenly Demons?"

Qin An clasped his hands behind his back and said calmly, "If I were a Heavenly Demon, you wouldn’t even have the chance to speak; you would have died by my hands long ago."

"Now, immediately take me to see your leader. I have something important to discuss, something that concerns your world, other worlds, including the place I’m from."

"Any delay will inevitably result in great disaster."

Upon hearing this, a flicker of contemplation crossed the young man’s eyes.

He did not immediately agree with Qin An but pondered quietly.

Qin An remained silent, patiently waiting for the man’s reply.

After several minutes, the man seemed to make a decision, taking a deep breath, he stepped aside and turned to lead towards the depths of the forest.

"Follow me, and I’ll tell you the truth."

Qin An nodded, saying nothing further, and followed the man into the forest’s depths.

If there was anywhere in this world still harboring precious vitality, it would be here.

The deeper Qin An went, the more he felt a sense of a rainbow after the rain.

Approaching such a place, the hazy vitality surged like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

Once the two of them passed through the forest, the path opened up gloriously, revealing a lush green grove.

Among the trees stood over a thousand people, yet there was no crowding at all.

These people all watched Qin An warily, as though he were a world-destroying demon king.

However, they hesitated to act and seemed to be waiting for something.

Leading them was a young man dressed in a simple white robe.

Despite his youth, a weathered air touched by time lingered about him.

That sensation of timelessness came right at you, suffocating the heart.

Qin An paused to ask, "Are you the leader here?"

The young man nodded, introducing himself, "My name is Zheng Yuanze, the leader of the Hunter World. Our world uses hunting as a way of cultivation. I won’t say much more, but are you sure you are indeed the Savior?"

Every world once had prophecies foretelling a Savior’s birth on a certain future day.

But no one knew from which world they would arise.

Thus they were all aware of the Savior’s title, which was precisely why Qin An could reach here smoothly.

Qin An nodded, "If I weren’t the Savior, I wouldn’t have been able to come here by the instinct of those broken worlds, there’s no doubt about that."

"Now, let’s get down to business."

He didn’t want to waste time nor ramble; he wished to resolve this as quickly as possible, as he needed to head to other worlds.

Zheng Yuanze nodded, saying nothing more, and waited for Qin An to continue.

Qin An began to slowly lay out his plan.

As Qin An explained, the faces of the crowd showed surprise.

They genuinely hadn’t expected the Savior to approach them about forming an alliance to fight the Heavenly Demons.

However, as Qin An continued, many began to accept his idea.

After Qin An finished, he closed his mouth, waiting for their response.

Zheng Yuanze fell into thought. After a long pause, he looked up and said, "Alright, we agree."

Their agreement was so quick that Qin An found it unbelievable.

Zheng Yuanze continued, "In this world, we have been like surviving rats, barely scraping by, and at the slightest hint of us, those Heavenly Demons would discover us."

"Our lives have been hard, filled with hatred, with our sole aim being the extermination of those Heavenly Demons. We had no chance before, but now that there is one, we don’t want to let it slip away."

Qin An showed a look of realization, "I see."

If this were indeed the case, then such a quick agreement was very understandable.

Qin An thought for a moment before saying, "Alright, I will now transport you to the world I came from."

The method of transmission relied naturally on those broken worlds.

When Qin An entered this world, the instincts of those broken worlds had already informed him of the specific method through a kind of mystical sensing,

Zheng Yuanze suddenly spoke up, "Mr. Qin, do you need to explore each world one by one?"

Qin An paused, nodding, "Exactly!"

Zheng Yuanze shook his head, "If Mr. Qin continues like this, you’ll eventually find yourself spread too thin, and not every world would agree as straightforwardly as I did."

"No matter how much you strive, Mr. Qin, you won’t surpass those Heavenly Demons, and you might even encounter forces that have already submitted to them and suffer severe assaults from the Heavenly Demons."

Qin An furrowed his brow, "What you say makes sense, but it seems I have no other choice right now. You mentioned a solution just now, do you have one?"

He had considered it, but saw no other way.

Zheng Yuanze nodded slowly, "I happen to have a way to help Mr. Qin speed up the process."
