Chloe looked at him strangely. She was unable to understand what Ryan meant by those words. She didn't have any information about Ryan's acquaintances in the human world. So the comment left her completely lost in her place.

But she wasn't the only one who reacted that way. The rest of the girls reacted the same to the sudden mention of that person.

"Who are you referring to?" Karol asked.

The mage looked at Ryan with a lot of confusion. She tried to search through all her own memories for someone who fit that description Ryan gave.

"An idiot blonde?" Mirian asked aloud.

The archer observed Helen who was standing very close to her. Mirian looked for some sign on the swordsman's face to know if she knew the guy Ryan was talking about.

Helen crossed her arms over her chest upon hearing Mirian's question. She made a gesture moving her head and shoulders. Helen clearly indicated having no idea who that blonde man could be.

Beatrice looked at each of them in complete silence. And she checked the expressions of Karol, Mirian, and Helen one by one with a lot of attention.

But Beatrice found no answer in their expressions. None of the girls in the group seemed to know the identity of the man Ryan had just mentioned in the room.

Lise took a step forward to take the floor. The dragon moved very confidently, getting a little closer towards her leader's throne.

"I don't care who you're talking about." Lise said with a clear voice.

She had no interest in the humans Ryan knew. The dragon only focused on her master's power.

"But I'm glad to know my master has tricks up his sleeve." Lise added.

The dragon smiled as she looked at Ryan. She liked seeing that he was always one step ahead of his enemies.

"Naturally." Helen intervened immediately.

The swordsman agreed with Lise without even thinking about what she was doing. For Helen, it was an obvious fact that Ryan was always well prepared for any situation.

But a second later, Helen realized her grave mistake.

She noticed she had just agreed with the dragon that bothered her so much since she arrived at the castle. Helen looked away immediately. Her face filled with a lot of annoyance at her own comment.

She clicked her tongue, angry at herself for having supported Lise's words in front of everyone else.

Irina and Alicia laughed at the comical situation. The two women saw Helen's angry face and couldn't help but let out a small laugh in the room. But they didn't say anything else. The two decided to keep quiet quickly to not anger the swordsman further with their teasing.

Then everyone stared at Ryan.

The girls in the group kept their eyes fixed on him. They waited patiently for an explanation to all their doubts about that blonde man.

'It's not that it's completely certain. But it's probable that idiot, and the heroes he gathered, will try to come now that I'm the new demon king.' Ryan thought to himself from his seat on the great throne.

He remembered William very well and the heroes the blonde mentioned to him in the past after that small casual encounter they had in the streets of the small town of Eibach.

Ryan looked at his group of women and noticed how the girls were starting to get impatient in their places.

"You don't need to know anything about that yet." He said directly.

Ryan decided it wasn't the right time to talk to them about William or the other heroes.

"We will leave that for later." He added.

He closed that topic of conversation completely with his tone of voice. Ryan wanted to focus on the matters they had in front of them that same day.

"But Ryan." The girls tried to argue in unison.

Helen, Mirian, and Karol spoke at the same time. They wanted to know who he meant and why he kept that information hidden from the group.

Although two of them already knew the answer it seems they simply forgot so Ryan completely ignored them. He paid no attention to their complaints in the room. Ryan turned his head to look away and end the discussion.

Ryan directed his eyes towards Chloe.

The holy knight remained in her place, waiting for some order from the people in the room.

She, upon feeling Ryan's gaze, observed him for a second. Chloe's eyes met Ryan's directly.

Then she looked down at the floor. Although she didn't look as scared as before. The conversation the group had just had in the room seemed to have calmed her quite a bit.

"Chloe. Stand up." Ryan ordered with a firm voice.

She looked back at him immediately upon hearing her name. Chloe didn't hesitate for a single second at Ryan's direct order. She obeyed immediately. She stood up from the floor, dusting off her clothes a bit, and stood waiting for his next words.

"There is something I am interested in knowing." Ryan said from his relaxed posture. He rested his arms on his seat and looked at Chloe with a lot of curiosity.

"Some time ago I captured holy knights, but part of their memories seemed erased. Is that a kind of holy knight power?" Ryan asked.

He was remembering the men he faced and captured in the elf forest when he fled with Beatrice from the nation of Varvylon.

He wanted to confirm if that memory loss was a normal side effect or a magical ability used on purpose by members of the church.

And Chloe didn't take long to answer his question. "That is correct, your majesty." Chloe answered with a very clear voice.

"It is a power taught to S-rank holy knights. Although my former captain tried to teach me." Chloe added.

"Hoo." Ryan let out a faint sound upon hearing that.

He raised an eyebrow, showing a clear interest in the information Chloe had just revealed.

"You say you know how to erase memories?" Ryan asked.

"Well, I know the basics to do it, but I'm not capable at the level of the S-rank holy knights. Maybe I can only erase memories of very recent things." Chloe answered cautiously.

She paused in her explanation. Chloe took a breath for a few seconds to think well about her next words.

"Holy knights can erase memories in a more specific way." Chloe added to make everything clear.

"What a disgusting power." Irina said in a complaining tone.

The elven princess frowned with a lot of annoyance. For her, altering the mind and stealing a person's memories that way was something very bad.

'In a moment, I will know how much of the memories she can really erase.' Ryan thought to himself while observing the closed door of the great hall's entrance.

Ryan settled a bit in his stone throne. He left that subject in his mind to resolve it later.

Then, he shifted his gaze and looked at Karol.

"Don't worry. Karol, at some point we will get that water twin for you." Ryan said with a calm voice, addressing only her in the middle of the room.

He made it very clear that he wouldn't forget her main objective and that he would help her obtain the relic no matter who had it in their possession.

Karol looked at him with surprise for a few seconds upon hearing his words.

Then, a big smile formed on the mage's face.

Karol nodded her head. She felt very happy and relieved by her leader's promise.

"Good, now we will have our first official meeting." Ryan ordered aloud, changing the topic of the conversation completely.

He looked at all the women present in the throne room to make sure he had the full attention of each of them.

"Let's do this quickly before the demons from Ophelia's kingdom come to forge our new weapons." Ryan said.
