S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill
Chapter 314: Unrestricted PowerThus, Ryan raised his relic in the center of the vast snowy courtyard and opened the magic portal. The bright light illuminated the castle's courtyard as the dimensional rift fully stabilized before them all.
The hundreds of villagers began crossing the light barrier in an orderly fashion, leaving the hidden village behind as they stepped onto the cold mountain snow. Elves and beastmen looked around with great curiosity and astonishment upon seeing what would be their new home.
Ryan stood firmly before the massive crowd gathered outside and raised his voice so everyone could hear him. He asked the villagers to head down the main path and move into the empty houses built at the foot of the mountain.
He also gave them the direct order that, if more space was needed to house all the families, they should start building more homes immediately.
He patiently explained his reasons to the attentive villagers. Ryan said that for now, because the entire interior of the portal had suddenly expanded so much, it was not an optimal place to live.
He wasn't sure what he might find in the hidden new areas of the massive dimension following his power increase. Ryan wanted to make sure first that the entire inner territory was completely fine and free of danger before letting people inside.
But aside from that major concern, Ryan firmly stated that he preferred them all to live permanently in that small town at the foot of the mountain. He wanted to form a real, visible community around Kowarre to breathe life into the place.
And if there was any serious problem or attack in the future, they already had a fail-safe plan. They would use the relic's portal as an emergency evacuation site, instantly keeping everyone completely safe.
So, following those clear instructions, every single inhabitant accepted the order without hesitation. The elves and demi-humans formed long lines and slowly made their way toward the foot of the mountain, just as Ryan had ordered.
Ryan watched the massive crowd leave down the long snowy path, but he stopped two specific people. He only allowed Mika and Runa to stay with him in the castle courtyard.
He wanted both of them to be directly involved in creating the new weapons for his party. His plan was to form a very special team, combining the hidden knowledge of demons, dwarven forging techniques, and elven alchemy.
Ryan sought to use all that combined intelligence to create weapons with magical capabilities that completely surpassed the current weapons used by the church's humans.
He wanted powerful equipment that wouldn't be controlled by sealing relics.
Runa, Mika, and the three robust demon blacksmiths listened to the proposal and readily accepted Ryan's plan. They began discussing materials without showing any prejudice or discrimination between their different races, focusing solely on the work.
"Hey, are you going to have them make you a new boomerang?"
Poly asked with a lot of curiosity in his voice. The young demon twin took a step toward Ryan, looking directly at him.
Ryan calmly approached the little demon and raised his right arm. He placed his heavy hand on his head, ruffling his hair in a very friendly manner.
"Yes, I plan to."
Ryan answered affirmatively, thinking about the immense design possibilities this group of blacksmiths could achieve for his new personal weapon.
Poly laughed happily upon feeling his ally's friendly touch, but then he reacted and quickly complained, swatting Ryan's hand away with a sudden jerk of his head.
"Hey, don't do that, I'm not a child."
Poly complained, crossing his arms over his chest, trying to maintain a very serious and mature posture in front of the great blacksmiths of his own race.
"Oh brother, complaining like that proves the exact opposite."
Roly said with a clear mocking expression on her face. The demon twin smiled, amused by how quickly her brother lost his patience over a simple pat on the head.
Alicia observed the interaction from the side and smiled warmly at the young infernals' amusing situation.
Helen, on the other hand, remained in complete silence a few steps away, maintaining a very cold and distant expression on her face.
"But before we continue with this, I'll deactivate this portal. In a few days, I plan to review it very carefully."
Ryan said, looking at the bright light of the magic rift still floating in the center of the snowy courtyard. He turned toward Alicia to confirm the correct way to close it.
"I just need to cut off my mana flow to deactivate it, right?"
"That's right, Your Majesty."
Alicia affirmed, stepping a little closer to him. The beastwoman nodded, confirming that the relic depended entirely on his immense energy to keep the dimensional entrance open to the outside world.
"Were there really that many people inside that portal?"
Roly questioned aloud, looking at the trail of deep footprints in the snow that the massive crowd had left when marching down the mountain.
"Don't be silly, sister. Didn't you just see it yourself a moment ago?"
Poly immediately replied, looking at his twin with total disbelief at her obvious question.
"Don't call me that."
Roly became very annoyed by her brother's insult and raised her fists, ready to start another loud fight in the middle of the courtyard.
"Quiet already, you brats."
Helen intervened in a very loud, annoyed voice. The human swordsman glared at them so they would stop making so much noise in front of their leader once and for all.
"Let Ryan do what he has to do."
At that precise moment, several women's voices echoed near the entrance. Irina, Beatrice, Mirian, and Karol also gathered in the cold courtyard. The small group walked through the deep snow, chatting animatedly among themselves about how they had fared while capturing the giant wolves.
'Alright, let's do this.'
Ryan thought, seeing his party and the courtyard full of his people. He focused on his main task and extended his right hand toward the magic portal's bright edge of light.
At the exact instant Ryan cut off his energy flow and deactivated the small relic containing the entire village inside, something completely unexpected happened.
A strong, invisible energy suddenly seemed to strike Ryan. The immense magical impact struck him directly in the chest, sending a powerful jolt through his entire body.
Then, like some kind of massive explosion in the air, a vast amount of pure energy began to release and expand from his own body. The gigantic wave of mana overflowed across the entire peak, violently sweeping the loose snow from the courtyard ground.
The power spread throughout the mountain before settling in the air as a terrifying physical pressure. It was like a heavy, dense, suffocating veil that covered the entire mountain in a single invisible strike.
That magical pressure instantly forced absolutely everyone present to their knees. Helen, Alicia, the dwarves, and the demons hit the stone floor, unable to resist the overwhelming weight pressing down on their shoulders.
All the party members looked up at Ryan with expressions of utter astonishment and confusion. They muttered incomprehensible things as best they could, feeling a deep, instinctive terror coursing through their trembling bodies.
The group was almost unable to breathe, gasping heavily for a little cold air. They felt that immense physical pressure almost crushing them against the snow-covered courtyard, as if the world's very gravity had suddenly multiplied.
'Is this all the energy that this relic was supposed to be absorbing from me?'
