Chapter 1245: Chapter 1245: Encounter in Provence

"You can still ride a bicycle?" Looking at him ahead, Summer Sutton found it somewhat unbelievable.

In her eyes, a man like Manuel Ink should only be into supercars, yachts, or even planes.

He probably never had the chance to touch something like a bicycle his whole life.

Her remark only made Manuel Ink chuckle lightly.

"Hold on tight." Without answering her question, he just reminded her, as he rode with her around the flower fields.

His pace was slow enough for Summer Sutton to take clear pictures.

They spent over two hours near the flower fields. On their way back to the inn, Manuel Ink stopped the bike and went to a nearby shop to buy two bottles of water.

Summer Sutton waited outside for him.

While waiting, her gaze casually swept over the surroundings.

This small town she was in was quiet, usually occupied by vacationers, with only a few people on the long street.

As Summer Sutton looked over, a figure appeared at the end of the street.

The person’s gaze was darting around, as if searching for something.

Summer Sutton stared at the face of the man walking towards her direction, as if she had been hit over the head, staying dumbfounded for a few seconds.

The man continued walking towards her, glancing around as he walked.

Summer Sutton’s eyes stayed on his face for a few seconds, and without thinking, she turned and dashed into a nearby alley.

Her swift reaction was so quick that the approaching man couldn’t see clearly, only catching a glimpse of her fleeting figure.

Watt Bennet stood still, staring at the spot where she had been, furrowing his brows.

When Manuel Ink came out of the shop after paying, carrying the water, Summer Sutton was already gone.

Gazing at the bicycle parked at the shop’s entrance, he frowned slightly.

Just as he was about to search for her, he faintly sensed a sharp gaze from behind.

Manuel Ink paused slightly, slowly turning his face.

As he turned around, Watt Bennet stood not far away, staring at him.

Watt Bennet’s face was very solemn, eyes narrowed at him, as if pondering something.

Running into him in a place like this, Manuel Ink was stunned for a few seconds, then glanced sideways at the empty bicycle next to him, instantly understanding what had just happened.

Summer Sutton clearly didn’t want to see him!

Watt Bennet studied him for quite a while before slowly approaching.

Turning his head, he glanced inside the shop.

"What a coincidence." He greeted Manuel Ink with indifference.

"Yes, quite a coincidence." Manuel Ink replied faintly.

"Alone?" Watt Bennet asked without showing any sign, watching his reaction.

"Yes." Manuel Ink curtly responded.

Watt Bennet’s gaze became sharper, as if assessing the truthfulness of his words.

Manuel Ink didn’t pay him much attention and pulled out his phone to make a call.

He was on the phone with a client, talking business as he walked.

Watt Bennet turned his face, watching his back as Manuel Ink walked away, squinting his eyes in contemplation, then discreetly followed behind.

Manuel Ink walked slowly, paused slightly after a few steps.

Listening to the commotion behind him, he didn’t even turn his head to look back, knowing Watt Bennet was following.

Unconcerned, he continued his conversation with the client.

On the long street, the two walked one in front of the other; Watt Bennet did not interrupt him, while Manuel Ink pretended as if he hadn’t noticed anything.
