"Glorian is alive..."

Princess Unestia spoke as though she was asking a question.

"But he said that the duel would be to the death." She continued. "He is a man of honour, so I can only imagine that he wished to be slain."

"He didn’t have much say in the matter," Kalon responded. "He is missing one of his legs."

Her eyes widened once she heard this. It was as though she was just discovering what sort of man Kalon could be.

Of course she, or anyone else in the resistance, held any grudge against him for this, since it was completely Glorian’s choice. They were now seeing what it could possibly look like if Kalon was not on their side.

He had taken down their best swordsman, a high-gold, with ease, and even spared his life.

In other words, this at least made Kalon the strongest fighter in the resistance for sure, and there was an argument to be made that he might have been the strongest on the planet.

"I... I see. I have known Glorian since I was a child, so this hurts me... But he brought this upon himself. He has always had a problem with his ego."

Princess Unestia sighed and sat down on her chair. She reached for her wine glass and downed its contents.

Orange liquid trickled down her chin and fell between the crevice of her full breasts.

"Do you need us to heal your wounds?" she asked, already guessing at the answer.

Kalon shook his head.

"Thanks, but no. I can heal them myself. All I ask is that you let Josinia know that I have returned to my planet for the day."

Unestia nodded her head and took in what he said.

However, before he left, she had one more question.

"Is Josinia your wife?"

It was clearly asked out of curiosity, but it also came out of nowhere.

Kalon didn’t know how to answer at first.

"She is my woman... One of them."

After he added that last part, the Princess’s body seemed to relax. Those who were in the room with her looked confused as to her sudden question.

"So you, like the Vendurion’s men, are open to taking on multiple partners." She nodded her head. "Good, that is good."

﹂First Stage: 6%

Kalon tried not to show his reaction on his face.

Her seduction went up... That means she was asking out of curiosity.

Does she want to be one of my women?

The question itself seemed egotistical, so he put aside the thought for now.

"I should get going. These wounds won’t heal themselves."

...

A minute later...

Kalon arrived on the rooftop of his dormitory with the wounds now formed on his earth body.

Only now that the adrenaline had worn off did he start to feel the pain from his wounds.

As the blood continued spilling, his health had slowly dropped down to 70. His formidable body had numerous traits that were helping him, such as steel body, silver blood and increased testosterone, however they could only do so much.

If he continued, and his health dropped to a quarter of its original amount, he would most likely pass out. After that, the wounds would likely become infected.

I have to go somewhere to get it healed up...

He climbed to his feet and headed down from the dormitory rooftop.

He had a place in mind.

...

Thea stood by the open window of her bedroom, wearing nothing but a thin white robe and underwear.

The fabric hung loosely over her shoulders and barely closed at the front, leaving the soft inner curves of her breasts and the line of her stomach exposed whenever the breeze moved it.

Rain fell outside.

She held one hand out past the windowsill and guided the water with her affinity.

Small streams lifted from the downpour, twisted into controlled spirals, then collapsed back into the rain on her command.

She repeated the motion again and again, trying to make the shapes tighter and more precise.

Without the use of skills, an element could be controlled very loosely as long as you had an affinity to it. It was impossible to reach the level of even an F-rank skill, but practising this method was good for rank development and pill digestion.

The house was quiet, as her mother, Theodora, was out, and the garden below was empty.

Until suddenly, she saw movement.

A figure was walking through the rain toward the house. At first the distance and the weather made it hard to tell who it was.

She narrowed her eyes and leaned closer to the window.

The figure kept coming. It had dark hair, a familiar build, and no shirt on.

Was it a homeless man? How had he made it past the security?

Then she noticed something. There was blood on the figure’s chest.

Even through the rain she could see the dark red covering his chest and stomach. The wounds looked deep.

He moved with a slight stiffness, as if every step was painful to take.

Thea dropped her hands. The water she had been controlling fell away.

Wait a minute... That’s Kalon.

She stared for a second longer, heart beating faster, then turned from the window and moved quickly across the room.

The robe fluttered open, revealing more of her half-naked body with the sudden motion, but she did not stop to close it.

She left her bedroom and hurried down the stairs toward the back entrance that opened onto the garden.

By the time she reached the door and pulled it open, he was already close.

Rain stuck his hair to his forehead. Blood mixed with water and ran down the lines of his chest in thin pink streams. The cuts across his torso were ugly and still open.

Thea stood in the doorway in her thin robe, bare feet on the cold floor, staring at him.

"Kalon... what happened to you?"

The young man somehow still managed to flash her a smile despite the pain he must have been in.

"Just a little accident..." he said. "Can I use your bath?"
