After the fog faded away, Kalon turned to face his two women. They stood there staring at him like he was some sort of god on earth.

Perhaps in their eyes, he was.

He walked over to them, footsteps splattering against the water from the melted enemies, and stopped in front of the pair.

Sifa spoke first.

"Somehow you’re even stronger than you was during the tournament. How is it possible for someone to progress so quickly?"

Josinia chuckled slightly and spoke next.

"I used to think it was a trait of humans, but then I realised that Kalon is just different... Did you know that humans aren’t supposed to be able to leave their planet. Kalon says that..."

As Josinia continued on talking about how great Kalon was, Sifa looked around at her surroundings.

The icy fog had truly dissapeared in a way that it never had before. Usually it would last for a full weekend, and yet now it had went away in less than an hour.

All because Kalon had defeated the champion.

So the rumours were true... She thought to herself. I have to tell Governor Qyra, she will reward him again!

But when she looked over to Kalon to tell him her idea, the man had a hand to his mouth, yawning.

"We should be heading back into space now... I still need to show Josinia some other planets."

The vendurions eyes lit up.

Sifa’s face dropped slightly, losing its previous joy from the ice horde being defeated.

She found herself fiddling with her own fingers awkwardly.

There was clearly something she wanted to say, and Kalon could see it.

"Do you want to travel the world with us too?" He asked her.

The woman’s eyes widened as she wondered whether such a thing would be possible.

She nodded her head.

"I would want nothing more."

Kalon’s ability to tell the truths from lies told him that this was true. Sifa truly wanted nothing more than to travel, specifically with him.

However such a thing wouldn’t come easily. After all, he had only seduced her to stage four.

There was a long way to go.

"Then we will need to continue strengthening our bond. This is crucial." He responded.

It was the best way that he figured he could explain the requirements for the space seducer system without actually mentioning it directly.

Sifa looked a bit sad at first as she realised that she was lacking in places where Josinia was not. Afterwards however she became determined to strengthen her relationship with Kalon.

She nodded her head again, more resolutely this time.

"I hope our bond continues to grow stronger." She said.

...

After the conversation with Kalon and Josinia, the pair left her alone on the streets as they had travelled back in to space.

As for the streets of the Cryos Capital, people began to leave their homes.

Doors opened cautiously at first. After all, it was still a crime for people to exit their houses when the horde was present.

But it didn’t seem to be present anymore.

When citizens saw clear air instead of the usual thick mist, they stepped outside in growing numbers. Voices rose across the district.

"The mist is already gone?"

"It normally lasts days."

"What happened to the Horde?"

People gathered near junctions, pointing toward the Ice Mansion.

Melting shards of the lesser creatures and the deep crater left by the massive ice shard were still visible.

Word spread quickly: Sifa’s summon had destroyed the swarm and crushed the crowned leader. The one who supposedly was causing the horde for all of these years.

The fog had collapsed completely within the hour.

Some civilians walked closer to examine the crater and the broken remains of the black-ice sword and crown. Others simply stood in the open, relieved they would not have to remain sealed inside for the rest of the weekend.

Relief mixed with disbelief as families returned to the streets and the story of the powerful summon continued to travel from one group to the next.

...

Sifa did not wait.

She secured the baby dragon inside the mansion, changed into a formal white dress, and went straight to the Parliament House.

The guards recognised her as the victor of this year’s summoner tournament, and brought her before Governor Qyra and the four council members.

Once she was in front of them, Sifa bowed.

"I have come to report the Ice Horde outbreak."

Qyra’s glacial eyes fixed on her.

"Speak."

"The mist reached the residential district near my home. Many ice beasts emerged. My summon Kalon was present, along with a guest. He told us to stay back and fought the swarm alone.

"He used fire and light in controlled attacks so the damage would not spread. When the champion of the horde appeared, he called down a massive shard of ice that crushed it completely. The remaining creatures stopped moving soon after, and the mist cleared immediately."

The chamber was silent for a moment. They couldn’t believe what they was hearing.

"You are certain the leader was destroyed?" Qyra asked.

"I saw it," Sifa said. "The crater and the broken crown are still there for the patrols to examine."

Qyra exchanged a look with the council members. No one challenged the report.

"Your account is accepted. The council acknowledges what your summon has done. If he is summoned again, please bring him here... We— no, I, will reward him."

A smile spread across the governor’s face and no one knew why.

...

Kalon and Josinia appeared on the dormitory rooftop under Earth’s night sky.

The much warmer air made Josinia blink and look around at the city lights below.

She stayed close to Kalon’s side, still holding his hand, and took in the unfamiliar view in silence for a few seconds.

"This is your world," she said, unable to fathom what was happening. "Is this really your world?"

Kalon smiled and nodded his head.

"Yes, this is earth. The place you’ve heard many tales about."
