Seducing the Guideverse With My System — Raising an Anomaly [BL]
Chapter 140: _Survive By Any Means"This bitch is trying to swallow me!" Ambrose pulled out his other blade, driving it into the serpent’s throat walls. "Fuck!"
[Technically it’s already half succeeded with that.]
"Fuck off, Aura," he sneered, turning his head around. He was surrounded by nothing but a vast darkness—the only source of light being the flickering magma lines on his blades. "Maybe... maybe I could climb it..."
He blinked when his body suddenly vibrated with an unexplainable pain. He lowered his head, careful not to let go of his blades.
[WARNING: Serpent’s throat and digestive walls lined with acidic venom—host’s HP and mental perception getting affected.]
[Symptoms if contact continues: Dizziness, nausea, headaches, fever, hallucinations... and slowly... death.]
Chills snapped down Ambrose’s spine.
He shook his head desperately, refusing to give up. "I–I can’t fucking die like this," he spat. "Imagine reaching this far only to die as snake food. Fuck no! I’d kill myself if I transmigrated after that."
He arched his head up, squinting through the acidic pressure stinging his eyes. "I just... need to climb." He pulled out one of the blades, stretching that hand higher before plunging it into the slick wall again.
Then he pulled out the other one and did the same. It appeared to be working and he thought he was going to get progress... until the muscles on the throat walls moved.
"Whoa!" The movement loosened the walls until his blades couldn’t hold on. They slipped off, making him fall. With his heart in his throat, he sent the blades back to the system’s storage space.
In the nick of time, he pulled out Viktor’s Frost dagger and stabbed it into the wall instead. "Fuck it!" He snapped, his other hand already igniting with blue flames.
He punched his fist skyward—shooting out a blast of concentrated flames that licked through the beast’s throat like a flood. Outside, the serpent’s eyes widened slightly.
It probably thought the pesky human it swallowed would be dead by now. It coiled the upper part of its length around a tree as a guttural hiss erupted from the depths of its stomach.
That in turn made its throat muscles tremble so much that Ambrose was forced to save aether and focus on keeping himself balanced.
"I think I’m going to be sick." He retched, feeling the bile building up in his stomach. It became so bad that he had to continue talking mentally. ’I need to think fast. Time ain’t on my side—literally.’
The system timer still ran in the midst of all this chaos.
[Timeleft: 00:18:56.]
’It can’t possibly chew prey as small as me so digestion would be its best bet to get rid of me here,’ he pondered. ’The second I let go and fall... I’m heading straight to its stomach and that’ll be the literal fucking end.’
If the beast’s throat was this toxic he could only imagine how its stomach acids would be. And he hoped to keep that thought plainly as imagination.
Right now he could only think of one thing and one thing only. Surviving by any means necessary.
’System...’ he blinked one last time at the timer. ’Activate system title: Cataclysm Breaker. Now!’
[System title activated successfully.]
The second that notification came in, a bright blue light swallowed the silver in Ambrose’s eyes. He let out a fierce cry, his neck snapping back as the power boost coursed through his veins.
His free arm dangling beside his body flinched once before he lifted it back to the wall. He summoned the intact Dragon Fang blade—except when he pierced it into the serpent’s throat muscles this time, he ensured he poured in as much aether as he could.
Fire and frost swirled between the two elemental weapons, a repetitive cycle that strengthened the already terrifying Burning Ice tenfold.
The blue light in his eyes brightened as the burning ice covered his body. "Go back to the fucking depths you slithered out from!" His shoulders squared as he drove the weapons so deeply his palms cut in as well.
A numbing headache struck him on the temple but he ignored it, roaring while pouring his aether out like a broken dam. The Burning Ice encroached several meters of the beast’s throat.
Outside, the serpent stiffened. Unlike the last time its eyes were wide as though it could sense how life-threatening this attack was.
Its eyes—once dark gold—flared with a blueish white light. It struggled to keep its mouth shut, thrashing violently as it fell flat on the forest floor.
All that did was force Ambrose to hold on harder to his weapons.

[... 3200... 3005... 2896...]
With one final push, the burning ice combusted in a burst, completely swallowing Ambrose in its blinding light. The serpent writhed one last time before freezing like a statue.
Silence.
The air in the forest stilled. Every living creature stopped what they were doing, attention turning in the direction of that terrifying power.
BOOM!
A searing beam of Burning Ice tore through the beast’s neck, ripping through its scales like a hot knife through butter. It cut down multiple trees before connecting with the skies above.
The beam sustained for several seconds. Birds escaped in flocks. Critters that could burrow into the earth did just that.
Finally—the blast stopped. Acidic black blood poured on the forest like rain, alongside entrails and burnt flesh.
The serpent beast’s eyes, once full of life and gleaming like pearls, were now blackened. Dead. Yet there was no sign of the one who killed it.
[HP: 300... 236...]
A shuddering gasp broke through the quiet. Then a hand shot out of the pool of black blood. A humanoid figure, completely soaked in it, pushed himself out.
Once he’d crawled a certain distance, he whimpered, turning on his back and staring at the cloudless sky. He placed one hand on his chest—he could barely feel the other one and was too scared to check.
[A-Rank Serpent eliminated.]
He... he did it. He killed not just one... but three A-Rank beasts. All on his own. Each one was harder than the last and made him fight for his life. But what mattered now was that he did it.
[DAILYQUESTCOMPLETED.]
[All dungeon beasts have been successfully slain.]
[Would the host like to load rewards?]
Every breath he took felt like he was drinking and sniffing poison at once. So he answered mentally instead:
’... Well, duh you sick AI.’ he chuckled dryly. ’Seriously though... why can’t I feel my arm?’
