Seducing the Guideverse With My System — Raising an Anomaly [BL]
Chapter 296: _An Ant Before Giants’Aura. Please tell me you know where the heck we are.’
[Well, you were right. This isn’t Earth.]
’I swear to God if you don’t tell me something I—’
[Scanning mechanics fully online.]
That notification made Ambrose blink.
’Scanning mechanics?’ He repeated. ’You mean the same scanning option you couldn’t utilize in finding the black key because of dimensional interference?’
Was this AI fucking with him right now?!
Aura didn’t answer, instead flashing another screen.
[Scanning complete. The host appears to be in a world with scattered traces of life. It’s about half the size of Earth with multiple cities—which, as you can see, have been reduced to wastelands.]
Ambrose’s eyes swept past the buildings ahead of him. Most were made of stone, but he also spotted some made with glass and crystals he couldn’t name for the life of him.
Yet all of them were wrecked, reduced to nothing but skeletons of their former glory.
"These buildings look like they haven’t been occupied in years. Heck, decades." He mumbled, taking a step forward. "What kind of people could’ve lived here?"
[The runes carved into some of the buildings appear to be elven.]
"... Elves?" Ambrose’s mouth formed an ’o’. "First orcs and now Elves? What next from The Lord of the Rings am I going to see? Dragons?"
[I’d be less worried about any of that and more worried about the Extinction Level threat behind you.]
Every muscle in Ambrose’s body went rigid.
Say what now?
"So..." a cold, androgynous voice echoed from the air behind him.
He hesitantly turned, his heart beating like war drums. When his eyes landed on the figure hovering above the ruined city, he almost couldn’t believe it.
The Void Entity.
Its black hole face spiralled slowly as it observed the city, barely paying any attention to Ambrose. "... This is where that energy signature came from."
[This is the part where normal people usually run. I don’t know...]
Ambrose didn’t even argue, dragging a cautious foot back. Then another. And another.
He was seconds away from spinning on his heels and running like there was no tomorrow—when spatial awareness flared.
"What the...?" His head swerved to his far left.
What he saw made him halt yet again.
A purple Rift stood just a few hundred meters away, sizzling with aether and cosmic energy unlike anything he’d ever felt.
And that wasn’t even the most shocking part.
The shocking sight was the small group of people gathered before the Rift, gazing upon it with dread. From this distance, he could tell that not all of them were elves.
Neither were they just humans.
"Hunters?" A breath escaped his mouth at the realization. "What are they doing here?"
[WARNING!]
’You’ve gotta be shitting me.’
[Another Extinction Level threat detected. Host is advised to flee the scene before—]
CRUNCH!
A huge tremor struck the city, making the ground for several miles tremble uncontrollably. Ambrose struggled to keep his footing, bringing his eyes back to the Void Entity.
CRUNCH!
The next tremor made a few buildings crumble, covering entire city blocks in dust and debris. The sounds intensified, resounding beneath the city.
"Oh, fuck." Ambrose suddenly felt like an ant before two MMA giants. More buildings fell at the opposite end away from the Void Entity, each one getting dangerously closer. "Are... are these things about to fight each other?"

Outside the Purple Rift
Gabriel’s knees gave out, making him stumble forward. Yemoja rushed to his side, placing an arm around his shoulders and another helping his stretched hands stay raised.
He’d been expending more aether in a desperate attempt to keep his spatial lock intact. For several minutes now.
"Your aether," Yemoja noted, worry clear in her voice. "The backlash would be unbearable at this rate. Maybe you should let go so we—"
"N-No." Kali stepped forward, shaking her head. "I’m telling you now, we can’t be too prepared for this. The longer we hold back whatever is behind that Rift, the better."
Loki snapped behind them. "The poor guy’s going to fucking go berserk at this rate. Just let him stop so we can face the—"
"No." Gabriel shrugged Yemoja off him, keeping his arms steady as his eyes glowed brighter. "I... I can still do this. We can’t let Kali’s vision come true."
"The vision sent to her by a so-called ’elf Queen’?" Loki stared at Kali and the space god like they had gone insane. "What’s another extinction-level threat that we can’t face?"
"Because we were so good at facing the Void Entity," Wukong muttered, but it was loud enough for the lord of chaos to hear.
Loki snorted. "Oh, suddenly you’re being careful? I thought you were so eager to punch through whatever came out of the Rift hours ago?"
"That’s before Kali began preaching the end of the bloody world if we let that thing out."
"You evolutionary—"
"Enough." Apollo moved between them before they ripped each other apart. "I don’t think your yelling is helping with Hunter Gabriel’s concentration."
Apollo studied Gabriel for several long seconds before finally breaking the tense silence.
"How much longer?" He asked quietly. "Realistically."
Gabriel didn’t answer immediately.
His breathing had become uneven, every inhale scraping against his lungs while the purple membrane continued battering his fractured Spatial Lock.
Another crack crawled across the crystalline barrier.
He clenched his fists harder.
"...Ten minutes," he rasped. "Twenty if I... push myself beyond my limits."
A heavy silence followed.
Apollo gave a slow nod. "Then that is all we can ask of you."
"We’ll prepare for whatever comes next," Yemoja added softly. "You only need to hold on until then."
Loki clicked their tongue but said nothing this time. Even Wukong’s usual confidence had faded into something far more solemn.
One by one, they stepped back, leaving Gabriel alone before the ever-expanding Rift.
He welcomed the silence.
At least... Until his vision blurred.
The edges of the world smeared together as though someone had poured water across a painting. His arms trembled violently from maintaining the Spatial Lock, veins glowing beneath his skin as torrents of aether poured from every fibre of his being.
His emotions were becoming harder to suppress.
Fear. Frustration. Desperation.
They all clawed against the walls of his consciousness.
Gabriel grit his teeth. ’No...’
He knew these signs.
The violent emotional instability. The growing loss of focus. The overwhelming urge to let his powers explode without restraint.
He was inching dangerously close to going berserk.
He honestly didn’t know if he’d still be himself after ten minutes.
A bitter smile tugged at his lips despite everything.
"Ambrose..." He whispered so quietly that even he barely heard it.
As his permanent Guide, he was the only one who would be capable of guiding him.
And now he wasn’t even on the same planet anymore.
Gabriel tightened his shaking fists.
"Well..." he exhaled through gritted teeth as another fracture splintered across the Spatial Lock. "I guess you’d better find your way home on time."

Inside the Purple Rift
The deafening tremors refused to stop.
Chunks of broken masonry crashed from leaning towers while fresh cracks raced through the streets beneath everyone’s feet. Dust billowed into the crimson sky until even breathing became difficult.
No one spoke for several seconds.
No one could.
Every pair of eyes remained locked onto the impossible figure floating above the city.
The Void Entity.
Even from this distance, its very existence felt wrong. Reality bent around its spiralling face as though space itself refused to acknowledge it.
The Elven princess took an unconscious step backwards, her fingers tightening around her bow.
"What is that?" She whispered, genuine horror creeping into her voice. "What creature could make even the Devourer... uneasy?"
None of the elves answered.
Meanwhile, the Hunters looked equally pale.
One of the A-Ranks let out a shaky laugh that sounded closer to a sob. "You’ve got to be kidding me..."
Another Hunter slowly lowered his weapon. "I thought they said that thing was defeated?"
"So did I," Trinity breathed, unable to tear her eyes away. "Every news station on Earth has been covering it right before we left."
Another violent tremor nearly threw everyone off their feet.
CRUNCH!
Several buildings collapsed entirely, disappearing beneath clouds of ash.
The Elven princess finally forced herself to move.
"We have to leave." Her voice grew firmer as she looked toward the plaza leading back to the sanctuary. "The pocket dimension is still hidden. If we return now, the Devourer may never discover us."
She looked directly at Trinity.
"You’ve already seen what happened when your companion touched the Rift. You cannot cross it anymore."
The Hunters exchanged uncertain glances.
She wasn’t wrong.
Returning to Earth wasn’t an option anymore.
One of the older elves suddenly stepped forward, fear overtaking whatever compassion remained inside him.
"If they hesitate to follow us, then let’s leave them." The words echoed through the ruined streets. "They aren’t our people. If we delay any longer, the Devourer will sense us all."
Several elves lowered their heads without objecting.
The princess spun around immediately. "Elder—"
Before she could finish, a sound unlike anything they’d ever heard exploded across the world.
BWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
It wasn’t chewing or growling.
The Devourer... Belllowed.
The roar thundered through every street, every ruined building and every mountain beyond the city until the very air seemed to shake apart.
Everyone instinctively clutched their ears.
Entire city blocks bulged upward as though something unimaginably enormous was forcing its way toward the surface.
Stone shattered. Roads split apart. Tower after tower tilted violently.
Above it all, the Void Entity moved.
Dark tendrils unfurled from the abyss where its face should have been, stretching outward like living shadows that swallowed the crimson light itself.
For one impossible second... The two horrors acknowledged each other’s existence.
Then the Void Entity shot forward.
It simply vanished from where it hovered before reappearing hundreds of metres ahead, streaking directly toward whatever colossal nightmare was clawing its way out from beneath the city.
