Long story short, he used shape-shifting to acquire the transformation and utilised his illusion ability to project much of the visual and audio spectacle that came with his presence.

’There they are.’ His eyes scoured past the tree monsters, locking on Viktor, Beherath and a woman with pale blue-grey skin. The ice Prince looked back at him with recognition coursing through their link.

Ambrose’s slitted eyes moved further.

The settlement of Veyr gawked at him hovering beyond their barrier with a mix of awe and trepidation. Even the soldiers trembled, a few falling to their knees.

"What manner of beast is this?" One lamented in the Veyr tongue.

"We should retreat. Let’s just take the people to the Sewora tribe."

"And abandon our homelands?"

"Can you feel the power from that... that titan?"

Burning ice kept on blazing, consuming a good number of the tree monsters. However, it wasn’t long before more swept in from the snow-covered forests, each appearing more formidable than the last.

’Status report.’

A scanning bar appeared before Ambrose’s vision, showing clear stats in the next second.

Viktor lowered his hands, frost still actively flickering between his fingers. ’Yeah, that was pretty clear.’

’Only because of the link.’ Ambrose’s eyes moved to the tree monsters again. ’These ice people... they aren’t enemies, correct?’

’Yes.’

’Perfect.’ His attention turned to the old mage fortifying the barrier from the inside. ’I’ve sent a telepathic command to Beherath. You, him and the lady head back behind the barrier.’

’But... Rose—’

’I’m about to unleash everything I’ve got on these things.’ He halted mid-air, those ginormous membranous wings unfurling to the fullest. ’Talk to you when I’m done.’

He cut off communication before Viktor could respond.

[About fifty-seven tree monsters are coming from the east and west.]

’All S-Ranks.’ The equivalent of a grin curled his reptilian lips. ’This is about to be a feast.’

[Should I automatically collect any available aether core as you proceed?]

’Mmhm.’ A dark blue glow flickered past his eyes.

Necromancy seeped into the land. Dead souls attached to the snow lands stretching for miles awakened—growling, moaning and all eager to carry out his will.

On top of that, he summoned his undead army—including the colossal turtle and the six-tailed undead beast, which landed on the ground before the gathered swarm of tree monsters.

By now Beherath had already taken Viktor and Saidora back behind the barrier.

’Well,’ Icy blue flames lit up in his mouth again as space rippled around him. ’Let’s begin.’

He swooped down, the sheer force of him merely flapping his wings sending huge bursts of wind that disoriented most of the beasts.

The snow fox pounced in sync with him, dicing a monster into a splintered mess within seconds, fluidly moving to the next.

As Ambrose went straight into what he was mentally tagging one of the biggest "harvests" he’s had... somewhere between the confines of all realities, his son opened his eyes, absolutely confused.

Orion blinked once, head turning left and right.

Nothing but a white, endless void stretched around him from every direction.

One second he’d been trying to finish eating his ice cream so he could use his powers to check on his daddy like Uncle Valentine said.

The next he appeared here.

"Hello?"

The environment, as simple as it seemed, was too complex for his mind. He wasn’t standing, yet neither was he floating. He was just... present.

"Uncle Gabriel? Daddy?" He took one step forward. "Anyone out th—"

Every hair on his body stood on end.

Huge cracks began appearing all around the white space, each one flashing with live images that made his brows furrow.

"Whoa." His head tilted at one.

In it he could see a vast world that was nothing but rainforests for hundreds of thousands of miles. In another crack he saw an underwater world, fish people with mermaid tails and crystal-like scales swimming about with zero clue of his observation.

"Are these like... space televisions?" He moved past different cracks, each one showing him a new world.

Some were uninhabitable. Others flourished with intelligent life.

At some points he got a view of stars—some going supernova, others getting sucked into black holes. Just like that one Neil deGrasse Tyson series.

"Cooooool." He stood in front of one of those for several moments, carried away.

The urge to continue walking had just begun to settle when his head turned to another crack with yet another world within.

Orion’s eyes narrowed.

Skyscrapers. An aeroplane flying over a huge, bustling city. Thousands of people moving about their day. People like him.

"... Earth?" He rushed over to that one, thinking it would take him back home. "Hey, you guys—"

He was only a few steps away when it happened.

Screams.

The screams of billions of people echoed from the crack, right as those same buildings began to crumble. Roads split. The sky darkened.

Orion gasped, stumbling back in a mix of confusion and horror.

"What... what is—"

The screams intensified, each one bouncing in his head in a cacophony that should’ve driven any normal child to insanity.

He fell to his knees, rasping. "Make it stop. Make it stop. Why..."

Silence.

Slowly, he opened his eyes again.

The screams ceased.

Every building had been reduced to rubble. Seas and oceans had dried up. Mountains and forests were flattened to charred coal.

Then... right before his eyes, the world began dissipating into actual cinders, fading off into the cold, empty vacuum of space.

"DADDY!" He screamed, heart pounding like it was going to explode. "No, no... what happened? Where is everyone?!"

Hot tears trickled down his face, his throat constricting.

When he used the back of his hand to wipe his face... he finally noticed something.

Hovering in the vacuum, right at the spot where Earth was supposed to be, was a person.

No.

Not a person.

A figure who stayed stationary, back facing Orion and the dimensional crack. They had pristine, brilliant white skin, ten majestic wings furled on their back.

Orion’s first thought was that they were an angel.

But oh, how far from it he was.

The figure twitched.

Their body moved ever so slightly, looking over their shoulder. Although Orion couldn’t see their eyes clearly, he could tell they were looking right at him.

"The... boy..." A voice, masculine, deep, monotonous and reverberating with a timeless power, resounded from the figure. "... The one fit to be our vessel in this plane of existence."

Orion subconsciously took a step back.

Then another when the figure kept on turning, those wings spreading out like they could pluck out the most distant stars by merely existing.

Before they could make a move, Orion cried.

"STAY AWAY!"

The white void glitched. Every crack sealed up instantaneously.

Before he knew what was happening, the void shattered.
