Seducing the Guideverse With My System — Raising an Anomaly [BL]
Chapter 360: _Everyone DiedHale-Ferguson Residence
Gabriel stepped out of a portal leading into the living room, shutting it behind him with a flick of his wrist. Valentine, who was waiting on a couch, straightened.
"Any luck?"
The space god shook his head. "Even though my spatial awareness already swept the entire damn planet, I caught no traces of him."
"And you’re sure you meticulously sweet it through every other continent?"
"... Yes."
"The oceans? Maybe—"
"I searched everywhere, damn it!" Gabriel snapped. "Every damn corner of the world. And I still ended up going to some places I thought he might be in physically just to be sure."
Valentine huffed a breath, flinging his head back until his long black hair spilt behind the couch.
"Of all the bad things that could’ve happened with his abilities... why did he have to pick random disappearance?"
Gabriel had begun pacing when he heard footsteps from the staircase. Loki had one hand crossed across their chest, phone pressed against their ear as they descended.
"Right. Oh, no, no. I’m only just trying to confirm." The lord of chaos chuckled nervously. "No, it’s fine. Thanks for your help anyway."
Hanging up, their eyes immediately locked on Gabriel. "I’m guessing there was no luck from your end."
"Nope. Who was that?"
"Kali." Loki pocketed the phone. "I got her to use her projections to search through the planet. And beyond. To see if she found anything... odd."
Valentine’s brows snapped together. "Wait. You exposed Orion to a member of the Pantheon?"
"I merely asked her to keep an eye out for any... anomalies." They shrugged. "Anyway, she found nothing other than a few scattered strange dungeons. Nowhere near the levels of the purple Rift or Echo Rifts though."
Gabriel rubbed the bridge of his nose. "And how exactly does any of that..." he froze. A new, familiar presence had just appeared within the house.
Precisely near the kitchen countertop.
His eyes bulged. "Orion?!"
He ran in a heartbeat, Loki and Valentine following suit only a couple of seconds later.
By the time the three adults got behind the countertop... their bodies went rigid.
Sitting on the ground with his knees brought close to his face was none other than the boy they’d been searching for for several minutes now.
He sobbed, face wet with snort, sweat and tears. His chest rose and fell with heavy, shaky breaths as he dragged those golden eyes to them.
"U-Uncle..."
Gabriel was the first to move, sweeping him up into his arms.
"Hey, buddy." His voice was low, lips stretched with relief and concern. "What’s wrong? You made us worried. Where did you go?"
Orion didn’t answer.
Instead, he clung to the space god’s shirt, sniffing and blowing snort onto it.
The action took Gabriel completely off guard. He didn’t know how to react or what else to say, his head moving to the others. Seeing them being speechless, he went on, patting the boy’s back gently.
"Talk to me, buddy. Please? Why are you crying?"
Orion buried his face deeper into Gabriel’s chest, fingers clutching the back of the space god’s shirt so tightly they trembled. For several long moments all that escaped him were broken sobs, his breathing refusing to settle no matter how gently Gabriel rubbed circles over his back.
Then, eventually...
"People..." His voice cracked. "...Died."
The room fell silent.
Orion swallowed hard, his tiny shoulders shaking again before he forced the rest of the words out.
"Everyone..."
Gabriel’s hand froze halfway across the boy’s back.
Loki took an instinctive step closer, their usual teasing smile nowhere to be found.
"Wait." Their brows knitted together. "What do you mean, everyone? Did you see the future?"
Before Orion could answer, Valentine stretched an arm out across Loki’s chest, stopping them from moving any closer.
"Don’t." The Necromancer’s voice remained calm, though the tension beneath it was unmistakable. "He’s terrified. If we keep bombarding him with questions, we’ll only make it worse."
Loki looked like they wanted to argue, but after seeing the way Orion flinched at even the smallest sound, they reluctantly backed off.
Gabriel simply continued holding him.
"No one’s going to force you, buddy," he whispered. "Take your time."
Orion’s breathing gradually steadied.
His watery eyes remained fixed on nothing in particular.
When he finally spoke again his tone had changed.
It was quieter. Far quieter.
"We don’t have time."
Every adult in the kitchen stiffened.
Valentine’s eyes narrowed. Gabriel slowly lowered Orion just enough to look him in the face.
"What do you mean?"
The little boy sniffled once.
His lips parted. "I saw one of them." Those tiny fingers unconsciously tightened around Gabriel’s shirt again. "They..." His voice became barely above a whisper. "...found me."
Gabriel felt an unfamiliar chill crawl down his spine. "Who?"
Orion looked up.
"The Archons."

Back in the snow dimension, the sky had become a battlefield.
Ambrose carved through the air like a living catastrophe, his illusion-wreathed dragon form weaving effortlessly between countless grasping branches. Every time one of the Tree Titans lashed upward, he simply vanished in a ripple of distorted space before reappearing somewhere else, another torrent of Burning Ice engulfing a fresh cluster of monsters.
The ground below was littered with shattered trunks and blazing blue-white flames.
One after another, the system chimed.

The colossal turtle was proved nigh unmovable, staying between the barrier and the beasts while the snow fox moved faster than lightning, taking down those Ambrose’s attacks failed to kill.
Behind the barrier, Magus Roitera could only watch in stunned silence.
"Impossible." His ancient eyes followed the dragon’s every movement before drifting toward Viktor. "You..." The old mage exhaled slowly. "...know that creature, don’t you?"
Viktor laughed nervously. "Uhm, I guess you could say that."
Another explosion rocked the frozen landscape, sending shockwaves rolling across the endless snow.
Moments later... The final Tree Titan fell.
Silence reclaimed the battlefield.
Ambrose hovered above the ruined forest, already thinking about locating the remaining Hunters—when unbearable pain speared through his skull.
His vision fractured with images in quick succession.
Ten immense wings. Brilliant white skin.
Then Orion’s screams pierced through those of countless other people.
"DADDY!"
Everything went black.
