Gu Fangqi noticed the strange look Shen Yue was giving him.
He cleared his throat.
"What I said isn’t wrong. My coming-of-age ceremony was one hundred and twenty years ago. He must have been seventy or eighty back then!"
Shen Yue listened, stunned. ’So Huang Ziyue’s real age was even older than the hundred-odd years Mu Silin mentioned?’
’Was he actually over two hundred?’

Hearing her words, the man’s gaze intensified, boring into her.
A chill ran down Shen Yue’s spine under his stare, but she pressed on:
"As far as I know, I have no quarrel with you. If you’re going to kill us, don’t you think you should at least give us a reason?"
Upon hearing this, his gaze darkened further. He narrowed his eyes and stretched out a hand.
Shen Yue was instantly seized by a powerful, unseen force and yanked through the air.
Behind her, a shocked Huang Ziyue started to charge forward.
Gu Fangqi also prepared to attack.
But they froze when they saw the man had already grabbed Shen Yue by the throat.
Both of them froze, not daring to make a reckless move.
A frosty aura erupted from Huang Ziyue as he stared intently at the man in black.
In the man’s grasp, Shen Yue struggled to breathe. The terrifying pressure emanating from him made her legs go weak.
The man’s voice was frigid, seeming to rumble from deep within his chest:
"A reason? You dare ask me for a reason?"
Meeting his venomous gaze, a chill spread through Shen Yue’s chest.

The man’s grip tightened viciously, his voice filled with gritted-teeth hatred:

A chill crept into Shen Yue’s heart as she listened.

Nearby, Huang Ziyue’s gaze darkened as he listened.
