It wasn’t exactly poop, but there was a poop shaped swirl that was on the head of this bipedal creature that came out.
It seemed like this was just part of the structure of its head.
Though it certainly was a very strange shape in terms of human aesthetics.
Regardless of how they looked, the aura that came from this one bipedal creature was enough to show that it was part of the ruling class of this society.
Even without that, it would have been easy to tell that this was the case with the way that this bipedal creature treated the animals that were around it. The way that this bipedal creature looked down on them and even hit them without them fighting back showed how much of a class difference there was.
"But even if there is this kind of class difference, it isn’t as if there would be no reaction at all from the animals..." That was the one thing that I found strange.
Still, it wasn’t as if there was anything that I could do about this.
Stepping in now would just be sticking my nose where it didn’t belong.
After that bipedal creature had finished having its fun with the guards, it went off in a certain direction.
I only hesitated for a second before I followed behind that bipedal creature to see what it was up to.
This turned out to be the right decision in the end.
After following that bipedal creature for a bit, I found that this was a place that was completely different from anything that I had seen so far.
Not only was it guarded, it also didn’t seem to have the pillars that any of the other buildings had.
"Is this where all of the energy is gathered?"
I had thought that the energy that was gathered by the animals would be directly channeled into the inner part of the city. But seeing this place now, it seemed that this wasn’t the case.
Or was it that this place was a backup just in case?
After all, I saw that the bipedal creature was acting suspicious as it was entering the building. It was almost as if it was afraid of being caught with the way that it was acting around this building.
"Does that mean that this is one of the side storage facilities and the main portion of the energy is being channeled into the inner city?"
Even if they were arrogant, it wasn’t as if they would completely ignore this factor when designing the city. So the ones that had created this city would have made sure that they added a few failsafes in.
This building was most likely one of the failsafes.
Now this member of the ruling class was sneaking around in this place.
"Could it be that they have a special way of using the energy that’s gathered from the plants?"
The fact they channel so much of it into the inner part of the city was already indication that it was used by the ruling class for something. But as for what it was specifically, this wasn’t something that I was aware of.
Which was why I continued following this bipedal creature to see what it would do.
The room itself was quite simple.
The only eyecatching thing about this place was the large pillar that was right in the center of the room. Even though this was supposed to be a place that stored the energy that was sent here, it seemed like the thing being used to store the energy was the same as what was used to send it.
"No, the pillars that they created to send the energy in the first place would be made from a special material that can transmit that energy. It’s no wonder they would be using the same kind of pillar just to store the energy. Only what kind of material is this thing made of?"
There was a strong part of me that wanted to take a closer look at this pillar to see what it was made from, but now wasn’t the time.
After all, I could see that bipedal creature moving towards the pillar.
While it was approaching the pillar, it was still looking back and forth as if it was afraid that there would be something that popped out all of a sudden. But in the end, it was able to make it to the pillar without a problem.
Once the bipedal creature was in front of the pillar, it didn’t hesitate at all to place both hands on the pillar. It seemed like it was quite greedy even though it was here to steal the energy of the pillar.
There was no hiding the excitement in its eyes as it stood in front of this large pillar.
In fact, it even looked like it wanted to steal all of the energy inside of the pillar.
But there was something that stopped the bipedal creature from doing so.
It seemed like there was still fear in the heart of this bipedal creature towards the ones that were above it.
Even if it was a part of the ruling class, the way that it acted made it very clear that it was still young. This was most likely one of the younger generation that had snuck out to take this energy to play around with.
So it was only natural that it would be acting this way.
Once it was done sucking out the energy, it didn’t seem like there was anything that changed with this bipedal creature. But then again, it wasn’t as if I was able to sense that energy in the first place.
All I knew was that this bipedal creature was satisfied with the gains that it had gotten from the pillar.
Since it was satisfied with what it got, it was ready to head back to the inner part of the city.
This time, I would see what kind of society they had built up here.
