"A-Ah...ACHOOO!!!" I sneezed, before reaching for a tissue and blowing my nose.

"<You okay? Did you catch a cold>?" Rex asked me with a look of concern.

"No, that’s literally impossible. According to the HUC, my body’s too strong to catch any diseases now. They found that out after we were all tested after the battle in the Final Dungeon. So, yeah, no way it’s a cold. Maybe I just inhaled some dust or something. Oh, or maybe someone’s talking about me?" I suggested with a grin.

"<Hm. Let me know if you start feeling feverish or anything. You might not be as immune as you think you are>."

"Yeah, yeah, I’ll be fine, you’re worrying too much," I replied, as I tapped on my I-Watch screen.

"<Don’t tell me you’re still bothering that poor girl. I feel bad for her>," He sighed in response.

"Wha-...? I’m not bothering her in the slightest! I’m just reaching out and making conversation, she did train and fight alongside us during the trial, after all. And, sure, I’ve invited her to visit and spar against me, and even offered to visit her instead. But that’s neither here nor there," I frowned defensively.

"<Okay, you do realize what a terrible idea it is to get hit with uranium or plutonium or whatever, right? She’s absolutely right to keep those in reserve as a last resort, ideally never needing to use them. It’s a good thing someone like you didn’t end up with her Chemia System, the whole world probably would’ve been reduced to a nuclear wasteland by this point>," He responded dryly.

"Hey, come on, that’s not fair. I wouldn’t go that far," I muttered, before letting out a huff as I leapt across the bed and flopped onto his stomach, eliciting a startled gasp from him.

"<I’ve told you not to do that, it’s-...>," He began in exasperation, before trailing off with a sigh as turned across and snuggled up to him, rubbing my cheek against his.

"Mm...I’m so glad you’re back," I sighed gratefully, ruffling his hair.

"It was really rough, you know? After we defeated the Demon Lord, I just...I couldn’t celebrate our victory like the others did. All I could think about was the fact that you were gone. Our bed felt so empty, our home felt too big. I spiraled down into a really dark place.

Eventually, I did try to move forward and pick myself up, but for the most part, it was just an act. I didn’t want to wallow in despair forever, I knew you wouldn’t have wanted that. But it was hard not to, you know?" I whispered quietly, wrapping my arms around him tightly.

I’ve probably said all this to him dozens of times at this point, but I just can’t help it. He usually gets exasperated when I keep talking about the same topic over and over, but with this, he always just listens and humors me without a single complaint.

"<I can’t imagine what you must have felt like. Not to mention the strength it must have taken to even try to move forward in that despair. If the roles were reversed and I’d been in your position, well...I don’t think I’d have ever found that strength>," He replied, stroking the back of my head gently.

"Mm, I love your touch so much, I’m so happy that I get to feel it again. I love you, Rex," I smiled warmly, giving him an affectionate kiss on the cheek.

"<Yeah...I love you too, Ciel>," He responded, placing his forehead against mine.

We stared into each other’s eyes for a moment, before slowly leaning in and pressing our lips against each other. He gently caressed my lips between his as he placed a hand on my cheek and softly stroked my skin with his thumb.

I ran my fingers through his hair as I placed my other arm around him, pulling him closer and pressing his body against mine as I began kissing him with increased fervor and passion, my heart starting to race.

As we pulled away to catch our breath, I pulled my top off, exposing my breasts. Rex reached out and cupped them, fondling them with a gleam in his eyes.

"Heh, as always, you really like my boobs, don’t you?" I smirked teasingly, as he averted his gaze sheepishly.

"<Yeah, obviously. You’re beautiful, and I love you. So, it’s only natural>," He huffed, before flicking and pinching my nipples, my back arching slightly as I shuddered.

He then pushed me onto my back and got on top of me, massaging one of my breasts as he began kissing me again, his other hand slowly trailing down my arm as he traced his fingertips across my skin. As he reached my hand, he laced his fingers through mine, grasping my hand and giving it a soft squeeze.

I then wrapped my legs around his waist and flipped us around, pinning him onto his back and kissing his forehead, before kissing the tip of his nose and softly pressing my lips against his.

I then sat up, straddling him as I pulled his shirt off, running my hands across his bare torso before leaning in and kissing him again, my chest pressed against his.

He slipped an arm around my lower back while tracing the side of my neck with his other hand, his fingertips gently brushing my skin and sending shivers down my spine.

I played with his right earlobe as I caressed his cheek with my other hand. He bent his right leg slightly, pressing his thigh between my legs as I ran my fingers down his torso, stroking his skin and smirking slightly as I felt him squirm.

He traced his tongue across my lower lip as we kissed each other deeply and passionately. We let out gasps as we pulled away to catch our breath, our faces deeply flushes and our breathing heavy as we stared into each other’s eyes...

"I love you," I whispered tenderly, smiling warmly as he reached up and affectionately stroked my cheek.
