Point-of-View: Cleo Nova

"Oh, that’s too bad. I figured you’d be able to acquire new Skills from the Mutants," Remarked Kai, as I slumped back in my seat and stared up at the ceiling.

"No, my Assimilation doesn’t apply to the Mutants, they’re different to Monsters. With Monsters, their Magical and physical abilities were closely linked but still separate. But with Mutants, their Magical and physical abilities are essentially one in the same. And, more importantly, Mutants don’t have Cores, my Assimilation works by absorbing the energy stored in Cores," I pointed out with a sigh.

"Hm, that explains why, when I used Appraisal, nothing indicating the Mutants’ abilities appeared. It was just their species name, gender, height, age and then Power Level," Mused Kai thoughtfully.

Today’s the 30th of April, 2172, and I was currently visiting Kai and Ariella at their new place. I’ve been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone lately to improve my social skills, and as a direct result, I’ve had a very stressful week. So, I kinda invited myself over since I needed to vent.

"So, made any progress?" Ariella asked me with a smile.

"Maybe a little, I guess. Mostly, I’ve just been stressed," I responded, letting out a slight huff.

"How exactly have you been spending your time after you decided to do this?" Chimed in Kai, as he sparked up a joint and took a puff.

"Well, at first, I started doing a lot of shopping in person. But I forgot that most stores use robots instead of human employees, so that was a bust. After that, I tried going to a bar, but the people there recognized me and swarmed. It was too much to deal with, way too overwhelming, so I slipped out.

I gave it some thought, and figured using a disguise was my best bet. I put on a wig and colored contacts and visited a different bar. It actually went alright, I managed to hold conversations with a few people without falling apart. I mean, to be honest, I think I was pretty awkward, but by the end of the night, I felt like I had a tiny bit more self-confidence," I explained, taking a puff as Kai passed the joint to me, blowing the smoke out through my nostrils.

"Hey, that’s great. Sounds like a good start," Kai smiled encouragingly as Ariella nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, I guess. After that, I decided to spend a few hours during the day at the Guild. I’ve been making conversation with the Guild members, and then, at night, I go to different bars and try socializing with strangers. I didn’t want to end up relying on my disguises as a safety blanket, so interacting with the Guild members as myself has really helped my confidence too."

"This all sounds like things have been going well to me, so what’s got you so stressed out?" Inquired Ariella curiously.

"Well, it’s about last night. I decided to up the difficulty and went to a club instead of a bar. But I quickly got overwhelmed by how loud and chaotic it was, so I retreated to the bar inside the club to get some space. And then, these two guys showed up and offered to buy me a drink. I figured I needed to do at least a little socializing to make the outing worthwhile, so I took them up on the offer," I replied, cringing slightly as I recalled last night.

"Uh-oh, not sure I like where this is going. Did they-...?" Began Kai with a frown.

"O-Oh, no, they didn’t harass me or anything! They were nice and chill, and after some initial awkwardness, I started to enjoy the conversation. Things gradually started to get pretty flirty, which I’m not exactly used to, but honestly, it got me feeling this thrill. And then...they invited me over to their place.

They weren’t pushy or anything, it was pretty casual, and going off their vibe, I doubt they would’ve reacted poorly if I’d turned them down. But I kinda panicked, blurted something out and bolted. I...I feel so mortified looking back on it, it’s so embarrassing! I-I mean, I have no real experience, s-so the thought of, um, t-two guys at once fried my brain!" I rattled off, the words spilling out like a broken dam.

"Well, uh, that’s probably a natural reaction, so you don’t have to-...," Began Ariella.

"A-And after I got home and calmed down a bit, I replayed the whole thing in my head, and thinking about it in a clearer headspace, I...I found the idea really hot. Then I got all turned on and-..."

"Uh, hey, that might be just a little bit TMI," Kai cut me off awkwardly.

"Huh? Oh...ohhh, shit," I muttered, my eyes widening as I realized that I’d way overshared, before frantically adding, "I-I’m sorry, that wasn’t-...!"

"<I heard everything! You can leave this to me, Daddy>!" Suddenly came Luxuria’s voice, as the door to one of the rooms swung open and she stepped out, fully naked.

Hm. Is it bad that I’ve gotten so used to seeing her naked whenever I visit Kai and Ariella that I don’t even bat an eye at the sight of her bare body anymore?

"Leave what to you, exactly?" Responded Ariella warily, as Luxuria approached me.

"And put some clothes on, please," Sighed Kai in exasperation, before Luxuria promptly wrapped her body in a dress constructed with Negative Energy, before meeting my gaze with a smile, a gleam in her eyes as she took a seat beside me and put her arm around my shoulders.

U-Uh...

"<I can train her. I can sympathetize with how she must be feeling, she missed out on an opportunity to get spitroasted and DPed, who wouldn’t be upset by that>?"

Huh?

"U-Um, that’s not what I-...," I began.

"<So, I’ll take her under my wing and make sure she doesn’t miss out if another such opportunity presents itself>!"
