It was the next day, and after agonizing over cucking that guy’s wife, I felt the need to vent again. So, yeah, here I am.

"Same here," Nodded Kai in agreement.

"Thanks, guys. But, I don’t know, maybe I could’ve done more to check and make sure that he was single" I sighed wistfully.

"That’s not on you. When it comes to deception, it’s always a hundred percent the deceiver’s fault. It’s not on the deceived to guard against an unexpected deception," Responded Kai objectively.

"Exactly. If anything, you’re a victim in this situation, the guy deliberately hid the fact that he was married to trick you," Added Ariella with a nod.

"Yeah...I guess I feel a bit better about this whole mess. I appreciate it, guys. I’ll be more careful next time," I declared with a sense of determination.

"I mean, simply asking someone whether they’re single or not probably won’t work. Anyone who’s cheating on their partner probably wouldn’t hesitate to lie in response to a question like that," Pointed out Kai.

"<Eh, don’t worry about it. You can ask, and if they lie, that’s not on you. Now, then...setting aside the messy stuff, how was it? Your first one night stand, did you have fun>?" Luxuria asked me with a gleam in her eyes.

But don’t share the details with us. You’re our friend, and it’s weird and awkward to put us in a position where we have to imagine you in those positions and situations, you know?" Sighed Kai in response.

"What he said. You do you, but we don’t need to know the specifics. It’s more than enough to say something like ’I had a great time last time’ and leave it at that," Added Ariella with a wry smile.

Hm...yeah, I guess they’re right. My viewpoint and attitude towards this has changed drastically thanks to Luxuria, but it’d be unfair and probably a little creepy to impose it on others and shove it in their faces, especially my friends. Yeah, think I got a bit carried away with this whole thing, that’s my bad.

"Sorry, guys, I-...," I began apologetically.

"Hm? Sorry, hold that thought, I’m getting a call from the HUC," Frowned Kai, as his I-Watch began ringing, before answering the call, "Hello? I-..."

"We’ve located Leto Nex! Jaden Xeno and a few other Hunters have cornered him, but as we discussed and agreed on, they’re holding off on confronting him and avoiding getting too close. Come to the Union HQ ASAP, along with Ariella Velle. We’ll contact Cleo Nova too, and-..."

"No need, she’s here with us right now. The three of us will be there right away," He responded with a grimace, hanging up the call before glancing at Ariella and me, the three of us exchanging brief nods before promptly heading for the door.
