Slowly Falling into His Love Trap

Evelyn ate while secretly watching Caden Lockwood.

She really couldn’t understand why he suddenly showed a sad expression when he was just fine a moment ago.

After dinner, Caden had some matters to attend to, so he stayed in the study and didn’t come out.

Evelyn lay on the bed, feeling bored.

She realized that pretending to be sick was such an incredibly painful thing.

Caden immediately stood up, walked to Evelyn’s side, and said coldly, "Why aren’t you resting properly?"

"I’m so bored!" Evelyn pouted, complaining, "I’m just looking for a book to read. Anyway, school is starting soon!"

"School?" Caden hesitated for a moment, then said, "Actually, there’s something I need to discuss with you."

Hearing this, Evelyn’s eyes lit up, and she quickly asked, "What is it?"

"Considering your health, after school starts, you don’t have to go to school. I’ll have the teacher come to the house to teach you." Caden’s tone was assertive, clearly indicating he had already made up his mind.

Evelyn was so frightened that her legs went weak, and she almost fell to the ground.

She knew with Caden’s temper, her life was going to be restricted to the villa next.

"No!" Evelyn reacted strongly, shaking her head, "I’m just going to class, not doing manual labor. Why do you need to go to such lengths to have a teacher come to the house?"

He’s really being too over the top!

"There are so many people at school, what if..."

"There won’t be any ’what if’!" Evelyn raised her voice, interrupting Caden, "I was in a car accident, but no doctor said I have to limit all my activities to home, right? If I stay cooped up at home every day, I’ll make myself sick even if I’m not already."

"But..."

"Yvette will protect me!" Evelyn grinned and continued, "You can be completely assured!"

"Yvette is just a bodyguard, if you act recklessly, how could she possibly control you?" Caden’s tone was full of concern.

Just like last time, when Evelyn suddenly ran to pick up a coin, Yvette didn’t even have time to react.

"I promise, I definitely won’t act recklessly." Evelyn held up three fingers to swear, "If it happens again, you can confine me to the house, cut off the water, electricity, and WiFi, okay?"

Seeing Evelyn’s pitiful expression, Caden couldn’t help but smile.

He knew that since the car accident, she had been painfully confined.

However, he really couldn’t bear having another incident.

If it weren’t for Ashley being there at the time, Evelyn might have... not survived.

Just thinking about the scene of Evelyn’s car accident still left Caden in shock.

He held her three fingers softly and said, "The weather’s pretty nice these days. Is there anywhere you want to go? I’ll go with you."

"Really?" Evelyn was so excited she almost jumped up, "Do you have time? Can we really go out? Where? I’m fine going anywhere! The summer holiday is almost over, and I haven’t really had a good time yet!"

Seeing Evelyn so elated only made Caden feel more heartbroken.

He couldn’t help but think, if only she hadn’t had the accident, it would have been so much better!

"You pick the place." Caden’s tone was gentle, "Once you’ve decided, we can go anytime."

"Can we... have a group trip?" Evelyn suggested, "Invite Cece and Julian Keaton, and Logan Shaw and Ashley too! Isn’t it more lively with more people?"
