Slowly Falling into His Love Trap

Chapter 643: Wanting to Have His Child

At that moment, Caden Lockwood’s voice suddenly rang by her ear: "What’s wrong? What are you thinking about so intently?"

Evelyn Morgan was startled and looked at Caden, a fleeting guilty conscience flashing in her eyes.

Caden took Evelyn’s hands and pulled her to sit on the edge of the bed.

After carefully examining her, he said seriously, "If Aunt May is unwell, you shouldn’t cook yourself. We can eat out, or hire another chef to come. I wasn’t home for just a little while, and you’re already being disobedient?"

"I’m fine!" Evelyn blurted out instinctively.

Caden frowned and asked, "Are you really okay?"

Evelyn was stunned for a moment, realizing she misspoke, she quickly corrected herself: "No, no, no! There is something wrong! Oh dear! My back hurts, my waist aches, and my arms are sore!"

She felt helpless. Was she really pretending to be sick just to avoid being sent away?

But Caden became anxious, "I’ll take you to the hospital!"

Evelyn quickly grabbed Caden, "No need!"

Her cheeks flushed red, she didn’t dare look at Caden.

If he found out she was lying, that would be terrible!

"I... just need to lie down and rest for a bit," Evelyn whispered.

"Then I’ll get a doctor," Caden insisted.

Evelyn felt helpless and wanted to tell Caden she was truly fine, vibrant and not seriously ill.

But she absolutely didn’t dare to say such a thing.

She couldn’t help but ask herself: Am I going to have to pretend to be sick for a lifetime?

That would be too exhausting!

Caden is practically restricting her movements now!

Does it mean she’ll have to stay in this villa forever in the future?

Thinking about that outcome, Evelyn shivered violently.

Evelyn steeled herself and could only lie on the bed, pretending to be very weak.

Seeing Aunt May standing at the bedroom door, looking guilty and uneasy, Evelyn felt even more tormented.

The doctor arrived quickly, conducted a series of checks on Evelyn, and confirmed that she was fine. Only then did Caden’s tense nerves slowly begin to relax.

Evelyn kept her head down, not daring to say much, troubled by her current predicament.

Caden sat beside Evelyn, speaking softly: "Your body is still too weak, you should eat more. Tell Aunt May whatever you want to eat, and she will get it for you. From now on, you’re not allowed to do things you’re not supposed to, understood?"

"Okay." Evelyn responded, "I’m hungry, can we eat?"

Caden nodded and asked Aunt May to bring the food to the bedroom. Worried Evelyn might get tired eating, he began feeding her again.

Evelyn shrugged helplessly, feeling like she was really just a child in Caden’s eyes now!

She couldn’t help but wonder: If she had a child with him, would he also take care of them so attentively?

With that thought, a faint smile curved on Evelyn’s lips, she even forgot to chew the food in her mouth.

"Spacing out again?" Caden dissatisfiedly tapped Evelyn’s forehead, "Can you focus while eating?"

Evelyn snapped back to reality, thinking about Caden and her possible child, her cheeks instantly flushed red.

Oh, heavens!

Why was she fantasizing about such silly things?

Wasn’t she against becoming a mother right now?

With that thought, Evelyn found it even harder to face Caden.

She immediately took the bowl from his hand and hastily said, "I can eat by myself!"

Suddenly, Caden’s hand was empty, watching Evelyn eat on her own, his heart felt empty too.

Now, even if he wanted to do something for her within his ability, she didn’t want it?
