“That’s the thing: the contents of these crates are stra… no, actually, they're worse than strange; they are crazy,” Husan replied. “I’ve never seen so many high-value items being loaded onto one shuttle; it’s no wonder the boss is sending some guards.”

“What’s even in these crates?” The dockworker asked.

Husan looked back at his uniband before he began to read out, “One crate of Combrzalite.

One crate of Dark Matter.

One crate of Levithen hearts.

One crate of Scorpo remains.

Two crates of Dragon scales.

One crate of credit chips.

Three crates of God's Oasis.”

“Seriously? What the fuck,” The dockworker cursed in shock.

“I know, that’s like almost every valuable product we have,” Husan replied.

The dockworker laughed before saying, “Perhaps the boss is cleaning house or something?”

“Don’t be stupid,” Husan replied just as he received another notification from his uniband.

“Now what?” The dockworker asked.

“The boss’s personal hover transport is arriving; it must be the two guards she sent,” Husan replied before walking towards a large set of doors. “I’ll go greet them.”

[[Now arriving at the docking bay.]]

Spector announced as the hover transport emerged from a tunnel and slowed down to a stop beside a platform.

After the transport hatch opened, Adam and Eytelis stepped out and looked around.

“Hmm, this isn’t the docking bay I was in before,” Adam commented.

“The main docking bay is through those doors,” Eytelis stated as she pointed at a large set of doors.

Adam looked at the doors and was about to reply when they suddenly started to open.

Adam and Eytelis stared as an individual Adam recognised approached them after passing through the doors.

“You?” Husan said in surprise as he recognised Adam. “How are you here?”

“Yo,” Adam replied while raising his hand.

“Yo? What do you mean, yo?” Husan retorted with a frown.

“Friend of yours?” Eytelis asked.

“My former boss,” Adam replied.

“Former- what do you mean by 'former '?” Husan asked in annoyance before realising what Adam was wearing and so asked. “Why are you all of a sudden dressed as a guard?”

“Got a new job,” Adam replied simply.

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Fucking liar.]

[Superherofangirl (Earth): Chat, the streamer’s lying again.]

“Huh!” Husan replied. “How? Why?”

“Well, it seems I impressed the boss after security failed to eliminate or capture me, even with snipers,” Adam replied while shrugging.

“Seriously?” Husan asked.

“Yup, and now she’s sent me here to make sure the cargo transfer goes through without any problems,” Adam replied, as he had read the message Spector had sent Husan on the way.

“The boss assigned you to this?” Husan asked suspiciously. “You do realise the value of everything being transferred, right?”

“No, the boss assigned her,” Adam replied while indicating Eytelis. “I’m just here to assist and learn from her.”

“Yup, I’m showing him the ropes,” Eytelis replied.

“And you are?” Husan asked, turning to Eytelis.

“Vasari,” Eytelis replied.

“Have we met before?” Husan asked. “You look familiar.

“Probably. This is a small place after all, and I regularly accompany the boss as part of her personal security,” Eytelis answered.

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): The streamer’s not the only liar.]

[HackerSu (Trillion): Maybe his bad habits are rubbing off on her.]

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): I think it’s more accurate to say that she wants to rub something of the streamer’s off. Kekeke.]

“That must be it,” Husan replied as he attempted to subtly check out Eytelis's figure.

“So when’s the shuttle due?” Eytelis asked as she resisted frowning at Husan's lame attempt to check her out.

“Anytime now,” Husan replied before grumbling. “Talk about last minute.”

“Yeah, we only just found out about it ourselves a few minutes ago,” Eytelis stated.

“You think the boss was keeping quiet about it until the last minute?” Husan asked as he headed back towards the large doors while motioning for them to follow him.

“Probably. I mean, you said it yourself; there is a lot of valuable stuff being moved with this transfer,” Eytelis replied as she and Adam followed after Husan.

“I can’t believe she’s willing to sell the combrzalite and dark matter; that stuff is so hard to get hold of,” Husan remarked.

“Agreed, whoever she’s selling it to must have made her a good offer,” Eytelis said in agreement.

“You don’t know who the shuttle belongs to then?” Husan asked as they entered the docking bay.

“No idea,” Eytelis replied while shaking her head. “All she told us was to make sure the containers were loaded quickly and that nothing goes wrong.”

“So, I’m done for the day once we've finished loading the shuttle. How about you and I get something to eat?” Husan asked Eytelis hopefully.

Eytelis frowned and was about to reply when suddenly an alarm went off in the docking bay.

“What’s that?” Adam asked in reply.

“Fuck! You are new if you don’t even know what that is,” Husan cursed.

“It’s the alarm signifying the sudden appearance of a ship in orbit,” Eytelis explained.

“It’s probably nothing to worry about,” Husan stated confidently. “It’s most likely the mothership of the shuttle we’re expecting.”

“Ah, ok,” Adam replied, though he knew it wasn't.

“BOSS, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!” One of the dockworkers yelled in panic as he dashed towards Husan.

“What’s wrong?” Husan asked with a frown.

“Fifty ships just dropped out of FTL and surrounded Flamyre,” The dockworker replied as he arrived in front of them.

“Fifty?” Husan repeated in shock. “Who are they?”

“It’s the Phoenix Space Force,” The dockworker answered.

“The PSF! Why are they here?” Husan asked in alarm.

”I don’t know, but the positions they’ve taken up around Flamyre clearly indicate that they're blockading it,” The dockworker answered.

“Fuck,” Husan cursed. “Did they find out about the boss’s weapon-dealing operation?”

“Why would that be a problem? Weapon dealing is a legit business,” The dockworker asked.

“You dumbass,” Husan cursed. “It might be legal, but only if you're legally registered as a weapons dealer. Which the boss is not.”

[Superherofangirl (Earth): Doesn’t that make her more of a weapons smuggler than?]

“What the fuck do you mean, ‘only if you're legally registered?” The dockworker cursed. “Are you telling me that the Boss isn’t registered as a weapons dealer?”

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Hmm, it seems not all her employees knew about this.]

[OfficialMuriel (Aqua Primus): How on Aqua Primus didn’t he know she's not registered? It’s publicly available information on the Universal Subspace Network.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): You find idiots everywhere. He probably never bothered to check when he got the job.]

“Of course not, you idiot,” Husan snapped. “Do you have any idea how high the taxes are and how much red tape is involved with being a weapons dealer?”

“Da fuck, we’re screwed.” The dockworker cursed.

“Shut the fuck up and listen; we’ve planned for this eventuality,” Husan retorted while fiddling with his uniband.

A second later, everyone in the docking bay felt the floor shake as a section of it retracted, revealing a ramp leading underground.

“What the fuck is that?” The dockworker asked.

“A hidden underground stash room that’s invisible to all sensors,” Husan replied before ordering. “Get all the weapons and move them down there.”

[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): A hidden safe room, huh? That’s interesting.]

[LadyErkath (Aqua Primus): It might be invisible to sensors, but not to Adam’s stream.]

[HackerSu (Trillion): The guy has no idea how much he just fucked himself.]

“You think I’m going to listen to you now?” The dockworker asked angrily.

“If you don’t, you’ll go down with the rest of us as complicit in weapons smuggling,” Husan replied with a smirk.

“Fuck!” The dockworker cursed before turning and dashing away.

“Can’t get the fucking staff,” Husan cursed just as a shuttle appeared outside the docking bay's energy shield and slowly passed through it.

“Why does everything come at once?” Husan complained before turning to Adam and Eytelis. “Can I leave you two in charge of loading the shuttle? I need to get the weapons into the stash room.”

“Leave it to us,” Adam replied.

Husan nodded and dashed away.

Adam watched him go before glancing at Eytelis and asking in a teasing tone, “So, you got yourself a date later?”

“Oh, shut up,” Eytelis retorted before heading for Spector Unit Five, which had just landed.

“Haha,” Adam replied, laughing before ordering. “Spector, load the purchases.”

[[Affirmative.]]

After Spector replied, the containers he had attached the hover cargo lifts to earlier started to move towards the shuttle.

[OfficialLorelie (Spector): He’s still calling them purchases?]

[OrangeeyedStace (Spector): Well, he’s not wrong. It’s just that the purchase cost was 0.]

[OfficialLorelie (Spector): I don’t think that’s how it works, Stace.]

Adam followed Eytelis until they reached Spector Unit Five’s ramp, where they watched the containers head up the ramp.

[[All purchases have been stored safely aboard Spector Unit Five.]]

[OfficialRowena (Spector): Even Spectors started calling them purchases.]

“Shall we go?” Adam asked while smiling at Eytelis.

“Let's,” Eytelis said happily before the pair walked up the ramp, which closed shortly after.

The chat then watched Spector Unit Five lift off and pass through the energy shield before disappearing as it cloaked.
