SS Awakening: My Monster Merging System!

Chapter 259: Training In Another World[1]

"Your world?"

Zich raised an eyebrow slightly, shifting his gaze from Razeil to the spatial formation that had now completely lit up.

He had originally thought Razeil would take him to some high level training area near Central City, or perhaps directly borrow one of the independent secret realms controlled by the Players Association. He had not expected that the place she intended to take him would actually belong to another world.

"To be precise, it is a private world under my control."

Razeil still held her right hand raised. Under the guidance of her power, the spatial runes covering the surfaces of the twelve metal pillars rapidly connected, while streaks of silver white light converged from the edges of the formation toward its center.

"There, we will be completely isolated from the outside world. There are no other players, and no one will disturb us during training. No matter how much commotion we cause, there will be no need to worry about attracting unnecessary attention."

Zich watched the increasingly intense spatial fluctuations and suddenly asked, "After reaching Level 200, can everyone possess their own world?"

"No."

Razeil’s answer was extremely direct.

"Then how did you get yours?"

"At your current level, knowing that would be completely meaningless."

"All right."

Zich did not continue asking.

After all, he had not even left the First Layer yet, and Level 200 was still unimaginably far away. Rather than asking about things he could not possibly come into contact with right now, it was better to focus his attention on the training that was about to begin.

Buzz!

The silver white light at the center of the spatial formation completely converged, and a spatial gate several meters tall slowly opened.

Almost the instant the spatial gate took shape, a bone chilling wave of cold air surged out from the other side. The temperature inside the teleportation chamber plummeted, and even the metal floor closest to the spatial gate rapidly became covered in a thin layer of white frost.

Zich narrowed his eyes and looked through the spatial gate.

What entered his vision was an endless white ice plain. Fierce winds swept countless tiny ice crystals across the landscape beneath a gray white sky, while farther away, snow covered mountain peaks could be seen rising in the distance. Most of those mountains were hidden within the blizzard, leaving only vague outlines barely visible through the snow.

Razeil stepped into the spatial gate first.

Zich followed closely behind.

Boom!

The instant his feet landed on the solid ice, a violent freezing wind slammed directly into his body. The low temperature that had still been relatively easy to endure moments ago seemed to drop by dozens of degrees in an instant, and the air he exhaled condensed into a thick cloud of white mist before it had even fully left his mouth.

System notifications immediately appeared before his eyes.

[Cross World Teleportation Detected.]

[You have left the First Layer Main Space.]

[Current Area: Winter Realm, Outer Ice Plains.]

[Area Danger Level: Unable to Determine.]

[Warning: The current world contains a large number of lifeforms far exceeding your present level.]

[You are currently being affected by an extreme cold environment. Stamina consumption speed has increased, and natural mana recovery speed has decreased.]

Zich’s gaze lingered on the final two notifications for a moment.

The system was already unable to determine the specific danger level of nothing more than the Outer Ice Plains. That alone was enough to prove that the private world controlled by Razeil was far beyond anything an ordinary secret realm could compare to.

However, he could not sense the presence of any powerful lifeforms nearby.

"Stop looking."

Razeil’s voice came from ahead.

"The Outer Ice Plains originally contained quite a few ice attribute lifeforms above Level 100, but before you arrived, I drove all of them deeper into the world. As long as you do not leave the training area without permission, you will not encounter anything you are currently incapable of dealing with."

"Sounds relatively safe."

"That only means you won’t die immediately."

Razeil turned and glanced at him.

"Safe and not dying immediately have never meant the same thing."

Zich did not argue and simply continued following her.

The two traveled through the snowstorm for nearly ten minutes before an enormous basin surrounded by several ice mountains gradually appeared ahead.

Unlike the ice plains outside, which were constantly battered by blizzards, the winds inside the basin were noticeably weaker. Five separate paths had already been marked across the flat ice, each extending in a different direction, and at the end of every path stood a black ice pillar more than ten meters tall.

Scattered around the five ice pillars were numerous ice sculptures of different shapes. Some were humanoid, while others resembled magic beasts, but all of them were currently motionless and looked no different from ordinary statues.

At the center of the basin was a silver circle only three meters in diameter.

Razeil stopped outside the circle.

"Get inside."

Zich stepped into the circle and lowered his head to glance at the faintly glowing silver patterns beneath his feet.

"What is this?"

"A restricted area."

"Once the training begins, you cannot take even half a step outside the circle."

Razeil did not immediately explain further. Instead, she asked, "What do you think determines a summoner’s strength?"

Zich thought for a moment.

"The number, level, and quality of their summons, their own maximum mana, and the coordination between the abilities of their summons."

"That answer cannot be considered wrong, but those are only the things ordinary summoners notice most easily."

Razeil raised her hand and pointed toward the five completely separate ice paths ahead.

"No matter how many summons someone possesses, the person who ultimately determines how much of their strength can actually be brought out will always be the summoner himself."

"If a summoner can only issue simple commands such as attack, defend, or retreat to all of his summons, then even if he possesses a hundred summons, he is merely controlling a group of weapons capable of moving on their own."

"A true summoner must constantly know the position and condition of every summon on the battlefield, issue completely different commands to summons in different locations at the same time, and constantly adjust according to changes in the enemy, rather than simply piling all of his summons together and allowing them to crush the enemy through brute force."

Zich understood what she was implying.

"You think my control over my summons isn’t good enough?"

"It isn’t merely not good enough."

Razeil calmly said, "It is extremely crude."

Zich’s eyebrows moved slightly.

During the Chosen Tournament, he had defeated almost everyone who fought him head on. Later, after entering Myriad Beast Mountain, whether he faced magic beasts far above his own level or the combined attacks of Kane, Adrian, and the others, he had ultimately survived.

This was the first time anyone had described his control over his summons as extremely crude.

However, the person saying those words was Level 200 Razeil.

With the enormous difference in level between them, she had no reason to deliberately belittle him in such a manner.

"How do I prove you wrong?" Zich asked directly.

Razeil’s expression did not change in the slightest, as though she had already expected that response.

"Summon your five skeleton soldiers."
