SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will
Chapter 613: Consuming the Natural TreasuresThe next item was Wyrmvein Essence. This item was one of the few that excited Moon the most.
Moon opened the crystal vial next.
Tom had instructed him to drink half and reserve the other half for a second cycle in twelve hours. Moon lifted the vial to his lips and drank the measured portion.
The essence was cold going down. Bitter at first, then metallic, then oddly sweet at the end. The moment it hit his stomach, his mana channels lit up in a way they hadn’t in days.
His channels devoured the essence hungrily.
He closed his eyes.
Five hours later...
Moon’s eyes opened.
[Mana +7]
[Constitution +17]
His mana channels felt like they had been renovated
He could feel the reinforcement across every pathway. When he tested a small internal circulation, the mana flowed smoothly.
His spiritual foundation was clearer too. ’My spiritual energy has almost been purified in a way.’
Moon moved on to the next item, Bloodstone of the Northern Peaks.
Tom had instructed him to hold the stone against his chest, over his heart, and let it work through skin contact. The stone would absorb into his body over the course of several hours and dissolve completely by the end of the cycle.
Moon pressed the stone against his sternum.
Heat spread outward from the contact point.
His blood responded immediately. He could feel it thickening, deepening, carrying more oxygen with every heartbeat. The heat traveled through his veins in slow, expanding waves, purifying his blood as it went. Old impurities that had settled into his system evaporated out through his skin as a faint, dark mist that dissipated into the air around him.
The stone kept shrinking.
Four hours later.
The stone was fully absorbed.
[Constitution +15]
Moon could feel his blood purity and physical recovery rate improve, and it felt great.
He felt strong.

Selene had migrated from the couch to a chair closer to him at some point during the third treasure’s absorption.
She hadn’t made the decision consciously. She had just found herself in the closer chair when she next thought about it.
The bloodstone’s heat had brought a slight color to his cheeks. It was the healthiest he had looked since she had arrived.
She had never felt more privileged in her entire life.
She wanted to reach out and brush his hair back from his forehead. but her hand stayed on her knee. But the wanting was there, and it wasn’t going anywhere.
She smiled to herself.
’This is bad.’
She was in so much trouble.

Moon consumed the remaining treasures one after another.
The Iron Sinew Grass strengthened the fibers in his muscles, adding density without bulk and giving his body the ability to be more explosive physically. When it finished absorbing, his strength and agility had each risen by five, his constitution by thirteen.
The Spirit Pearl dissolved under his tongue and threaded through his spiritual foundation, deepening his soul’s connection to his body across every acupoint and channel. It formed a buffer that would allow him to hold together far longer under the strain of skills like Life Burn. His constitution rose by eleven, and mana by ten.
The second half of the Wyrmvein Essence layered fresh reinforcement over the first dose’s work, completing the repair of his mana channels. His mana rose by ten, and his constitution by ten.
The Distilled Essence of the Moon Lotus was the final piece. Its cool wave spread through his entire body and activated every previous absorption at once. The ginseng in his bones. The bloodstone in his veins. The iron sinew grass in his muscles. The spirit pearl in his foundation. The wyrmvein essence in his channels. All of it lit up simultaneously as the moon lotus multiplied the effects and accelerated their integration.
Five hours later, his eyes opened.
The room was dim. Selene had fallen asleep in the chair, her chin resting on her folded arms, her breathing slow and steady.
More notifications flashed across his vision.
Moon exhaled slowly.
He looked at Selene, asleep in the chair, her hair falling across her cheek.
He smiled.
In total, Moon had gained twenty points in mana, eight points in strength, eight points in agility, and a truly staggering seventy-eight points in constitution.
’Status.’
[ Name: Moon ]
[ Race: Human ]
[ Class: Classless]
[ Level: 41 ] [72%]
[ Lives: 271,519 ] [Super Lives: 0]
[ Strength: 169 ] [ Agility: 229 ] [ Constitution: 261 ] [ Mana: 283 ] (+20 to all stats)
Moon stared at his attributes with a blissful expression on his face.
He was stronger than he had ever been. His constitution alone had climbed into a range that nearly rivaled his mana.
His strength and agility had received the weakest increase when compared to Constitution and Mana.
Even though he couldn’t fully use this strength yet, it was there.
Stacey had told him it would still take about another week for his body to fully settle into peak condition, even after all the treasures had been absorbed. His channels needed time to stabilize.
But once that week was over, he would step onto the battlefield once again.
His lives had also recovered.
After the massive expenditure of Life Burn during the tournament battle, he had spent a considerable portion of his life pool. But the sheer number of kills he had racked up during that same battle, hundreds of Evolvers and a handful of Surpassers, had more than replenished the loss.
He was now above his pre-Life Burn total.
Just like last time.
Moon rose from his seated position.
A new day had arrived while he had been absorbing the treasures. The soft grey light of early morning was filtering through the room’s high windows. His muscles complained slightly as he stretched them for the first time in a full day of meditation. He rolled his remaining shoulder, tested his neck, and rose smoothly to his feet.
His gaze drifted to Selene.
She was still asleep in the chair. Her chin had slipped from her folded arms during the night, and her cheek was now resting against the padded armrest.
Her mouth was slightly parted.
’Cute.’
Moon smiled to himself.
He moved to her chair and knelt down carefully. His remaining arm slid beneath her knees. His shoulder braced under her upper back. He lifted her slowly, adjusting his balance to compensate for his missing arm.
She stirred slightly. Then made a small, sleepy whimper and turned her face slightly into his chest.
Moon’s smile softened.
He carried her out of the room and down the corridor toward the sleeping quarters, her body cradled against his like a sleeping princess in an old story.
