"...What?" Alicar’s voice was barely a whisper, his heart sinking into his stomach as the words registered.

Rumble!

The ground around the cave shook violently, and ahead of Alicar, several figures began to rise from the shadows, all of their eyes glowing with a malevolent aura that pierced the darkness.

The Shadow Wraith was a towering figure of pure darkness, its form shifting and flickering like smoke, with long, clawed hands and eyes that burned with cold fire, radiating an aura of death.

The Dark Hounds were smaller but no less terrifying, their bodies sleek and muscular, their jaws dripping with a dark, corrosive substance that sizzled when it hit the ground, eating away at the stone.

Alicar barely had time to react before the first Dark Hound lunged, its jaws aimed directly at his throat, moving with terrifying speed.

He dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack, the creature’s teeth snapping shut inches from his neck, and summoned a fireball in his palm, launching it at the creature with all his strength.

The flames struck the Hound square in the chest, sending it skidding backward, but it quickly recovered, shaking off the attack like it was nothing, its eyes burning with renewed fury.

’Each of these things have the strength of the Goblin Commander, and they even have a leader...’

The other three Hounds circled him, their eyes gleaming with predatory hunger, their movements coordinated and precise, while the Shadow Wraith hung back, watching with cold intelligence, studying his movements.

Alicar launched another fireball, then a lightning bolt, but the Hounds were fast, dodging his attacks with fluid grace, their bodies moving like shadows.

One of them caught him off guard, its claws raking across his arm, drawing blood that seeped through his torn sleeve.

Platinum Body absorbed most of the damage, but he could still feel the sting of the wound, a reminder of how dangerous these creatures were.

He raised Demon Guard just in time to block another attack, the demonic barrier absorbing the impact completely.

The Shadow Wraith chose that moment to attack, its clawed hand slashing through the air with terrifying speed, a dark aura surrounding its limb.

Alicar barely managed to dodge, the claws grazing his shoulder and sending a jolt of cold pain through his body, numbness spreading from the wound.

He retaliated with a blast of elemental energy, a massive lightning water ball that roared toward the Wraith, but the creature simply dissolved into shadow, reforming behind him and striking again before he could react.

Alicar spun around, channeling his power into a Demon Fist, the crimson aura roaring to life around his arm as he swung at the Wraith with all his might.

But the Shadow Wraith raised its own hand, and a dark barrier materialized before it, a skill that absorbed the impact of his attack completely.

BAM!

Though the Shadow Wraith’s barrier did break fully, making it stumble back as its eyes gleamed with malice.

Alicar was overwhelmed, his attacks barely slowing them down as they pressed their relentless assault from all sides.

His Platinum Body kept him alive, but only barely, his body covered in cuts and bruises, his breathing ragged.

He was backed against the wall, his mana nearly depleted, his vision blurring from exhaustion.

The Shadow Wraith loomed before him, its eyes burning with cold triumph, while the Dark Hounds circled, waiting for the kill.

Alicar’s mind raced, desperately searching for a way out of this impossible situation.

’Think, Alicar,’ he told himself, his eyes darting around the chamber, looking for anything he could use. ’How do you get out of this situation? THINK...!’

He saw all of the monsters closing in on him, their eyes gleaming with predatory hunger and their claws ready to tear him apart.

And that’s when Alicar suddenly had a bright idea that might just save his life.

He summoned the rest of his mana, feeling the energy drain from his reserves as he channeled it into his palms, creating a swirling ball of water and lightning that crackled with devastating power, the two elements fighting against each other but held together by his will.

But instead of simply releasing it so that the monsters could dodge it with their speed and reflexes, this time around, he also used another element, wind, to push the electrical water ball forward much faster, at a speed so fast not even a level 25 monster could react in time.

The combination of three elements was incredibly difficult, requiring immense concentration and precise control, as each element had to be balanced perfectly to avoid a catastrophic failure that could backfire on him.

Most mages spent years mastering just one element, practicing day and night to perfect their control.

And those who could wield two were considered prodigies among their peers, but using three at once was something that even veteran mages with decades of experience struggled with.

Alicar felt the strain on his mind, his mana reserves draining rapidly as he poured everything he had into the attack.

But he pushed through the pain, forcing the elements to work together in perfect harmony.

The water and lightning swirled together, crackling with energy, while the wind coiled around the sphere, building pressure and speed until it was almost too much to contain, the sphere growing unstable.

And then, with a roar of determination, Alicar released the attack, and it flew at lightning speed toward the Shadow Wraith and Dark Hounds, a blur of elemental fury that tore through the air.

BOOM!

Due to the friction and incredible speed of the attack, it became even more devastating as it struck, the impact creating a shockwave that shook the chamber, and two of the Dark Hounds were hit directly, dying immediately as their bodies were torn apart by the sheer force.

ROOOAR!

The Shadow Wraith roared in fury, its form flickering with rage, and a dark aura surrounded the remaining two Dark Hounds, boosting their power significantly, their eyes glowing with renewed malice and their muscles bulging with dark energy.

Alicar didn’t give them time to recover, his instincts screaming at him to press the advantage while he still could.
