"Fine then." The envoy muttered beneath his breath.

The moment those words escaped his mouth, his long, loose white robes suddenly fluttered violently.

The fabric snapped against his body as the surrounding air continued gathering around him with increasing intensity.

Instead of retreating and dodging further, the envoy decided to step forward and face the incoming winds head-on.

Swoosh!

The instant his body collided with the approaching gust, a loud, almost ear-deafening sound erupted throughout the forest, causing the nearby trees to shake violently as leaves and broken branches were swept away by the collision.

The wind didn’t feel like air at all; instead, it felt as though the envoy had willingly thrown himself against an enormous boulder that was being pushed towards him at terrifying speed.

For a moment, even his body struggled to contain the sheer force pressing against it.

His feet dug deeper into the soil as his robes were pulled backwards, while the muscles beneath his clothing tightened instinctively in an attempt to resist the overwhelming pressure.

In that moment, the envoy genuinely felt as though his body would no longer be able to contain the force.

If he didn’t retreat immediately, he would be washed away by the enormous current.

But then, a calm chime resounded through his ears.

Chime...

The sound was incredibly gentle compared to the chaos surrounding him, almost completely out of place within the battlefield.

The moment it reached his ears, an indescribable sense of relief filled his mind.

It was the kind of sensation that made the envoy feel as though the entire world had suddenly slowed down around him, allowing his thoughts to settle while every single disturbance within his mind was pushed aside.

The source of the sound was the pair of teal bells hanging from his ears. The ornamental earrings that had previously seemed like nothing more than decorations suddenly lit up with a ghastly radiance.

At first, the light was pristine white, resembling the distant stars scattered across a clear night sky.

But within the next instant, its brightness intensified, and a faint cerulean hue began invading the purity of the white light.

The two colors intertwined around the bells before spreading outward. Even while facing such terrifying winds, the ornamental earrings that should have been fluttering violently with every gust remained completely still. They neither swayed according to its will nor trembled in its presence.

They simply remained suspended beside the envoy’s ears as though the surrounding wind didn’t exist.

The concentration of wind rushing towards the envoy barely managed to move them along its currents, and the moment this strange phenomenon occurred, the Ironfeather Eagle’s expression changed.

Its enormous wings paused for the briefest moment as its deep brown eyes widened slightly, staring at the envoy in confusion.

Something was wrong...

The winds it had sent towards the human should have been enough to tear him apart.

But instead of harming him, their wild nature seemed to have been gradually tamed.

The chaotic currents that had previously been impossible to control began moving around the envoy in an almost orderly manner.

It was as though the wind itself had lost its hostility. The Ironfeather Eagle couldn’t understand what was happening.

Meanwhile, the envoy’s pupils slowly turned completely white—there was no longer any visible color within his eyes.

The moment that happened, the world before him changed as threads of energy suddenly appeared within his vision.

They were everywhere—some were bright white, some were cerulean, while others carried faint shades of yellow, red, green, and countless other colors that the envoy couldn’t even name.

The threads stretched throughout the surrounding forest, crossing over one another in an impossibly complicated pattern.

They connected everything, even the ground beneath his feet and the trees surrounding him.

Even the very air seemed to possess countless threads flowing through it.

These threads weren’t visible to anyone else except for the envoy himself.

In fact, the ordinary appearance of the world had been reduced to almost nothing.

No matter where his eyes wandered, the envoy could only see a sea of colorful threads, constantly shifting and moving according to forces that he had never been able to perceive before.

If those threads were physical objects, the envoy wouldn’t have been able to move at all since there were simply too many of them.

They crossed around his arms, legs, torso, head, and everything else, forming a complicated network that should have made even the simplest movement impossible.

But strangely, the envoy could coordinate through this sea perfectly.

His body seemed to understand the threads before his mind could even process them.

Each step he took felt more fluid than the last, almost as though he didn’t need to consciously raise his feet anymore.

He simply thought about moving, and his body moved in response.

Then he faintly pushed himself away from the ground. It was almost like taking another ordinary step, except instead of moving forward, his body was pushed upwards.

The colorful threads immediately reacted to his movements. Several of them wrapped themselves around his feet, while others stretched towards his legs and waist, pulling his body upwards according to his will.

The envoy didn’t resist the threads and simply allowed them to carry him as His body slowly rose into the air.

The strange sensation didn’t last long as the vision of threads gradually began fading, almost as though it had never existed in the first place.

One by one, the dazzling colors disappeared from his sight. The countless threads became increasingly faint until they were nothing more than vague traces within his vision.

The trees, the ground, the scattered corpses, and the enormous Ironfeather Eagle all returned to his sight.

Time seemed not to have passed during this entire process. The envoy knew that only because the wind around him hadn’t changed position.

The enormous gust that had previously been rushing towards him was still moving.

Yet somehow, the envoy had already risen several meters into the air.

Instead of falling, he continued hovering confidently above the ground.

His body moved naturally along with the surrounding wind currents, while his long robes fluttered with every movement.

The teal bells hanging from his ears continued emitting a strange radiance, and the light spread across his body, enveloping him within a faint cerulean glow.

Through the white veil covering his face, two bright circles of light could now be seen.

The Ironfeather Eagle felt his gaze at once as a strange sensation creepily crawled through its mind.

The eagle’s instincts were screaming as loudly as they could.

The envoy’s pressure wasn’t necessarily stronger than before, but there was something else that made the eagle uneasy.

It desperately flapped its wings several times, rapidly increasing the distance between itself and the ground.

At the same moment, the wind currents suddenly began gathering.

A large amount of air condensed around the position where the eagle had previously stood, twisting violently as countless currents collided with one another.

Within only a few moments, the countless currents had transformed into a fairly enormous whirlwind.

The whirlwind continued expanding as its rotating force became increasingly violent.

It easily swallowed everything nearby, dragging the surrounding debris into its center.

The envoy didn’t even spare a glance at it; his gaze remained fixed upon the Ironfeather Eagle.

He slowly raised one of his hands as the cerulean radiance surrounding his body brightened slightly.

The teal bells beside his ears produced another calm chime that somehow managed to remain audible even through the roaring battlefield.

Chime...

The envoy’s lips curled upwards beneath his veil.

"Shall we get this over with now?" His sharp voice filled with mockery.
