Dante didn’t stop walking. He didn’t even slow down.

"I’ve been public enemy number one since the first day of the cycle, Thane," Dante said, his voice completely flat. "It’s just a different color of text in the sky."

"You don’t understand!" Thane urged, rushing forward to catch up. "This isn’t like the guilds back on your continent! The Beast-Kin don’t fight for loot or auction house monopolies. They fight for territory and royal favor! Silas just offered them the ultimate prize. They will throw themselves at you with absolute, fanatical devotion!"

"Let them," Dante replied smoothly.

He didn’t care about the fanatical devotion of mind-controlled NPCs or greedy player clans. He cared about the [Primal Earth Core] currently sitting unguarded in the royal vaults of Theria.

If Silas acquired the second Chaos Orb and fused its primordial power with his Arch-Administrator developer tools, the resulting entity would be mathematically unkillable. Silas could rewrite the server’s base code and permanently delete Aegis Vanguard from existence.

Dante couldn’t hide or retreat back to the Human continent. He had to march directly on the capital.

"We keep moving," Dante ordered, looking back at the four silent Shadow-Stalker scouts. "We take the smuggling tunnel. If anyone gets in our way, I’ll clear them."

Thane looked at Dante’s glowing red eyes and the dark purple armor. The young Beast-Kin swallowed his fear. He had seen Dante casually annihilate an army of fifty thousand warriors just an hour ago. If anyone could walk through a continent-wide manhunt, it was the anomaly.

"Understood," Thane nodded sharply, his military discipline returning. "The Scorched Savannah is three miles ahead. It’s the fastest route to the hidden tunnels, but it’s a Level 50+ hazard zone. The ambient heat is intense, and the predators are highly aggressive."

"I like aggressive," Dante smiled.

The six-man squad moved efficiently through the rocky ravine, leaving the safety of the fortress behind.

They reached the edge of the Scorched Savannah in less than twenty minutes.

The environment was a stark, brutal contrast to the dense, humid jungles they had traversed earlier. The Savannah was a massive, sprawling expanse of dry, cracked orange earth and towering, blackened grass that looked like burnt wire. Heat waves violently distorted the horizon, and the air smelled heavily of smoke and dry thunderstorms.

[Zone Alert: The Scorched Savannah]

[Hazard Detected: Extreme Thermal Fluctuation.]

[Warning: Participants will suffer periodic bursts of intense fire damage. Passive stamina drain increased.]

Dante barely noticed the environmental debuffs. His [Frost-God Constitution] and [Source of Recovery] cloak passively mitigated and healed the chip damage before it even registered on his massive 25,500 health pool.

But Thane and the four scouts were struggling. They were Level 48, but they lacked Dante’s absurd, system-breaking gear. They were sweating profusely, constantly chugging low-tier stamina potions just to maintain a jogging pace through the oppressive heat.

"We need to move faster," Dante noted, watching a scout stumble slightly. "If we get bogged down here, the hunting parties will eventually track our footprint."

"We can’t," Thane panted, wiping sweat from his eyes. "If we sprint, the ambient heat will trigger a heatstroke debuff. We have to pace ourselves."

Dante didn’t want to pace himself. He needed to get to Theria.

He opened his system interface. He couldn’t summon Aura to drop her massive healing dome because he needed to keep his localized cosmic signature as low as possible to avoid triggering Silas’s admin-level tracking arrays.

But he had other options.

Dante reached into his infinite inventory. He pulled out a handful of the glowing, prismatic [Three Star Rainbow Berries] he had used to cure Patriarch Ignis.

He tossed a berry to Thane and the four scouts.

"Eat it," Dante commanded.

Thane caught the berry, his eyes widening. "This is a Holy-Forbidden consumable! It cures ultimate curses! You want us to eat it just to beat the heat?"

"I have a lot of them," Dante said flatly. "Eat it."

Thane didn’t argue. He popped the berry into his mouth. The four scouts did the same.

The effect was instantaneous. A blinding, prismatic wave of light washed over the five Beast-Kin players. The heavy, exhaustive slump in their posture vanished. They stood up straight, the debilitating heatstroke debuffs instantly shattered by the overpowering cosmic purity of the berries.

"Incredible," Thane breathed, clenching his fists. "My stamina is completely locked at maximum."

"Now we can sprint," Dante said.

He didn’t use [Velocity Paradox] or [Meteor Stride]. He needed the scouts to guide him to the tunnel, and he couldn’t leave them behind.

He triggered [Asura’s Heart].

His movement speed doubled instantly. He broke into a dead sprint across the cracked orange earth, leaving a trail of dust in his wake.

Thane and the scouts, their stats temporarily heavily boosted by the berries, easily kept pace. They moved like a localized blur of dark leather and silver armor, tearing across the Scorched Savannah at a speed that completely bypassed the standard traversal mechanics of the zone.

They ran for thirty minutes, covering massive amounts of ground.

"The tunnel entrance is just past that ridge!" Thane yelled over the rushing wind, pointing toward a jagged outcropping of black rocks about half a mile ahead.

Before they could reach the ridge, Dante’s Intuition stat pinged sharply.

It wasn’t a player ambush. It was a massive, aggressive, purely feral threat.

"Halt!" Dante barked, digging his iron boots into the dirt and skidding to a stop.

Thane and the scouts stopped instantly, dropping into defensive crouches, drawing their weapons.

The tall, blackened grass fifty yards ahead of them violently parted.

A pack of massive, terrifying predators stepped out into the open.

They weren’t standard wolves or corrupted hounds. They were tigers, but they were the size of heavy transport trucks. Their fur wasn’t orange and black; it was a deep, molten red, actively dripping with liquid fire. Their fangs were incredibly long, forged from jagged, superheated obsidian.

[Monster Spawn: Hell-Flame Tiger]

[Tier: Gold (Elite)]

[Level: 50]

[HP: 85,000 / 85,000]

There were ten of them. A perfect, highly coordinated hunting pack of Level 50 elite bosses.

"Hell-Flame Tigers," Thane whispered, his voice incredibly tight. "They are the apex predators of the Savannah. They hunt in packs, and their bite inflicts an un-cleansable melting debuff."

The ten tigers didn’t roar. They fanned out in a perfect semicircle, completely cutting off the path to the jagged ridge. They lowered their massive heads, their molten red eyes locking onto the squad.

"Dante," Thane said, raising his silver sword. "We can hold them. The scouts and I will draw their aggro. You use your speed to bypass them and reach the tunnel. We will hold the line as long as we can."

Dante looked at the young panther-kin.

Thane was offering a localized suicide play. A Level 48 player couldn’t hold aggro against ten Level 50 Gold-tier bosses for more than a few seconds. The tigers would melt them instantly.

Dante didn’t need sacrifices. He needed his guides alive.

"I appreciate the offer, Thane," Dante said smoothly, drawing the [Dawn-Breaker Blade]. "But you don’t need to hold the line."

Dante didn’t drop his defense to zero with [Asura’s Descent]. He didn’t need the massive 900% attack power boost for a pack of Level 50 tigers.

He just needed speed and precision.

"Watch your flanks," Dante instructed the scouts. "Let them engage first."

The Hell-Flame Tigers didn’t wait. The pack leader, a significantly larger tiger with glowing white-hot stripes, let out a deafening, localized roar.

The ten beasts charged simultaneously. They moved with terrifying, fluid agility, leaping over the blackened grass, their obsidian fangs bared.

The four Shadow-Stalker scouts didn’t panic. They held their ground, relying on their high-tier evasion stats to dodge the initial, massive pounces.

One of the tigers lunged directly at Thane, its flaming jaws opening wide to snap him in half.

Thane raised his silver sword to parry, but the beast was too fast.

Before the obsidian fangs could touch the Beast-Kin, a blinding flash of white light erupted directly between them.

[Skill Executed: Phantom Dash]

Dante materialized flawlessly in front of the lunging tiger.

BOOM.

The localized sonic boom of his materialization detonated point-blank against the tiger’s snout.

[Guaranteed Stun Applied. Duration: 1 Second.]

The massive, truck-sized beast locked up completely mid-air, its momentum instantly halted.

Dante didn’t swing wildly. He gripped the [Dawn-Breaker Blade] with both hands and drove it straight up, directly through the stunned tiger’s lower jaw and into its brainpan.

The Gold-tier weapon, amplified by its +50% bonus damage against corrupted enemies and Dante’s massive 5,110 Strength stat, hit with devastating force.

[-65,000! Critical Hit! OVERKILL!]

The tiger exploded into blue pixels instantly.

Dante didn’t stop moving.

Because [Chrono-Shift] removed all cooldowns, he chained [Phantom Dash] repeatedly.

He became a blur of dark purple armor and sonic booms. He teleported across the battlefield, systematically intercepting every single tiger that tried to engage his squad.

BOOM. Slash.

BOOM. Slash.

BOOM. Slash.

He didn’t use massive AoE attacks. He used flawless, surgical precision. He stunned the target, executed it in a single strike, and immediately teleported to the next threat.

Thane and the four scouts stood completely still, their weapons raised, watching in absolute awe as the ten apex predators of the Savannah were systematically dismantled in less than three seconds.

The final tiger, the massive pack leader, realized it was the only one left. It tried to skid to a halt and turn around to flee.

Dante teleported directly above it.

He brought the gold broadsword down in a heavy, two-handed vertical chop that cleanly severed the beast’s flaming spine.

[-85,000! Critical Hit! OVERKILL!]

The pack leader shattered into pixels, raining gold coins and glowing red crafting materials onto the cracked earth.

[Target Eliminated: Hell-Flame Tiger x10]

Dante landed perfectly balanced, sheathing his sword. He didn’t even break a sweat.

He looked back at Thane.

"Path is clear," Dante said simply.

Thane slowly lowered his sword. He looked at the massive pile of high-tier loot, then looked at Dante.

"You didn’t even let them attack," Thane whispered.

"I don’t like taking chip damage," Dante replied, turning his attention to the loot.

He activated his [Band of the Void-Walker], quickly vacuuming the gold coins and materials into his inventory. He noticed a single, highly ornate weapon resting among the drops. It was a long, curved sword that glowed with a deep, pulsing red light.

[Item Appraised: Hell-Flame Blade]

[Tier: Dark Demon]

[Type: One-Handed Sword]

[Stats: +3,000 Physical Attack. Passive: Attacks apply a localized ’Burn’ debuff, dealing 5% Max HP as True Damage over 5 seconds.]

It was a fantastic weapon for a rogue or a fast-attacking warrior. But Dante didn’t need it. He had [Voidsever] and the [Dawn-Breaker].

He didn’t throw it in his void ring to hoard it.

He opened his system interface, accessing the global mail network. Despite Silas’s continent-wide manhunt and the lockdown on transit gates, the mail system was entirely managed by the Zenith Protocol’s neutral AI. It couldn’t be intercepted.

He typed in a quick recipient name.

[Recipient: Lila (Aegis Vanguard)]

[Message: Found a Dark Demon sword. Give it to Sera to auction at the Emporium. Use the funds to upgrade the guildhall defenses.]

He attached the sword to the message and hit send. The item dissolved into digital light, instantly transferring across the ocean to the Human continent.

He was thousands of miles away, completely cut off in hostile territory, but he was still actively managing his guild’s economy.

"Alright," Dante said, turning back to the squad. "Let’s find this tunnel. We have a vault to rob."
