City A - 5th Zone
After having breakfast, he spoke to his parents for one hour before leaving. He picked a cab and headed to the airport.
He also sent a message to Head Harold and Sister Melinda that he was going back.
20 minutes later,
The cab reached the airport. He had already booked the return ticket. He entered the airport and checked his flight time.
It was here, but it was going to depart in ten minutes. He quickly completed the process before going to the fortified airplane.
He got there and saw the passengers were getting inside one by one. He stood in the queue. When his turn came up, he showed his pass before entering the plane.
He found his passenger seat and sat down next to the window. He looked at the outside scene through the window.
He saw the tall buildings and other infrastructure. With his powerful vision, he saw more. People were walking on the streets. They were returning to their daily lives.
But the threat was going to loom over their heads. It was not going to be solved anytime soon. He didn’t know what was going to happen next.
He believed in Head Harold and the others. Especially, he believed in City Governor Martin. Though there was some infighting and rivalry between the organizations.
Everyone would be united to fight against the corrupted beasts. That was the reason he was allowed to come here.
He was lost in thought. The departure time had come. The flight started taking off. Jeremy’s thoughts broke. He came back to reality.
He then looked at the others. He saw very few passengers were heading to the 4th Zone. He didn’t know how many of them would enter the special zone.
He then shook his head and closed his eyes. He was going to rest.
Several hours later,
The fortified flight landed on the special base runway. The flight attendants made the announcement. Hearing that, Jeremy opened his eyes.
He prepared to leave. When the flight came to a halt, he was the only one leaving. He got up and went to the exit.
Everyone was looking at the Tier-4 Beast Tamer with surprise. They knew the special base was a genius camp of beast tamers for the 4th Zone.
They didn’t expect a Tier-4 Beast Tamer to enter the place.
Jeremy Night exited the aircraft under everyone’s gaze.
He then touched the ground and looked towards the airplane. No one else except him was there.
Then the flight began to take off. Seeing that, Jeremy Night left the place. He then went to the administration building first.
He saw the special members and elders were going about their business. No one paid attention to his arrival.
Jeremy Night slowly walked up to the digital board; it was the leaderboard rankings. He swept his gaze across the leaderboard.
He saw his name had come down to 56. His name had fallen out of the top 50 of the leaderboard rankings.
Jeremy Night’s expression turned serious. He sort of expected this outcome.
He was out of action for a couple of days. The members of the special base must have been working hard.
He then looked around the place. There was no sign of Elder Smith. He decided to go back to the room first. He turned around and started heading to his room.
A few minutes later,
He reached the accommodation building. When he reached the ground floor, he came across Elder Leah. It had been a long time since he had seen her.
"Young man, how have you been doing?" she asked.
"Well, I’m doing well, but Elder, where have you been?" he said.
"I was busy with an important mission, but it is over now. Your strength is reaching Tier-4. You are growing fast," she commented.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night said, "Thanks to the resources here."
To that, Leah nodded her head. She then thought of something and said, "Be ready. I heard forces from the top three zones are coming to recruit final-year students. You might catch their eye."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night’s eyes gleamed with a twinkle.
"I will be ready," he said.
Then he nodded to her and headed back to his room.
Leah watched the young man’s retreating back. Though she had encouraged him, she didn’t know whether the representatives would entertain the idea.
Most of them looked down upon Beast Tamers from other zones. If not for the pressing need for Beast Tamers, they wouldn’t turn to other zones.
Because the population of the top three zones was already high, she didn’t know whether Jeremy Night could attract their attention.
She then headed to her office.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night returned to his room. He shut the door and went to the bed to lie down.
One hour later, he freshened up and exited the room.
It was already evening. He was going to check out the mission details. After leaving the accommodation building, he texted Elder John that he was back.
And he was going to select a mission right away. He then started heading towards the administration building.
Soon, he reached the building. He walked inside, and immediately his gaze fell on the people behind the mission desk.
He spotted Elder Smith right away. A smile appeared on his face, and he started walking up to the desk.
"Jeremy, you have returned," Elder Smith said.
"Yes, I want to go on a mission right away. My rank is falling," Jeremy said.
"Good." After saying that, Smith handed him the device.
He accepted the device and began to go through the mission list. He came across various missions on the list.
[Mission: Find the Rosebell Flowers and collect them. Min Quantity: 50. Time Limit: Nil. Credit Points: 500. Leaderboard Points: 1500.]
Jeremy’s gaze fell on one mission. He liked it immediately. It was because the mission didn’t have a time limit. He could take time to find the flowers.
Not only that, the credit points and leaderboard points were high for this mission. But he understood that the mission was not that simple.
Jeremy then told his choice to Elder Smith.
Smith said, "Don’t think that mission is an easy one. It’s hard to find them because of their small size."
