Special Base (4th Zone)

"You have to search near the border area to find them." After saying that, Elder Smith sent the map to his device.

Jeremy Night took his device and checked it. The map was accurate. There were dots near the border area where the Rosebell Flower was previously found.

He then closed the map and put away the device. He told Elder Smith to register the mission.

Smith nodded and began to do that. On the other hand, their discussion was noticed by other Elders.

They saw Jeremy Night. Knowing that he was back, they were surprised.

Everyone had heard about the 5th Zone matter. They heard Lords from the Human Alliance had repelled the Tier-9 beast.

Because of his absence here, his ranking had dropped from the top 50. The members were taking the missions seriously, including the first and second years.

Now there was a rumor going around that forces from the top three zones could come here to recruit the final-year students who were Tier-7 Beast Tamers.

If they spotted any talent in the second year, they could be recruited as well. But nobody was sure about Jeremy Night, because his Tier was too low.

Now even his ranking had dropped from the top 50.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night left after he was done with the registration. Before stepping into the wilderness, he sent a text to Elder John about the mission.

He then left the premises and stepped into the wilderness. It didn’t take long for him to enter the dense vegetation and disappear into the woods.

He used his eye power to scan the surroundings. He didn’t find any beasts.

He had gone to the dangerous areas in the special base wilderness, including areas such as the abandoned valley and the mountain cliff.

Jeremy knew that the movement of the corrupted beasts would be high during the night. But he was going to find a tall shade tree to carve out a tree hole.

On the map, he saw a few dense spots where Rosebell Flowers were found earlier. They were in the northeast direction.

So he started his journey towards that direction. While moving, he kept an eye on the surroundings, not for the movement of the beasts, but looking for a giant tree.

Roar!

As time passed, the beasts’ roars occurred more often. From the high-pitched sound and distance, he could guess that they were higher-tier beasts.

But they were not within 500 meters. He continued walking along the way, hoping to find a large tree soon.

Buzz!

Suddenly, a high-pitched noise of flapping wings was heard. His senses alerted him. There was some danger approaching him.

Jeremy Night used his second eye ability. He could see if there was any living beast nearby in this night environment.

Then he saw a winged insect beast. He looked at the beast and was shocked internally. He couldn’t recognize the fist-sized insect beast at first.

When the beast got within a hundred-meter range, he recognized it. It was a Red Botfly-a parasitic insect beast. It usually won’t target humans.

The approaching beast was a Tier-5 beast, so its usual targets should have been higher-tier beasts.

He didn’t know why it was coming towards him, but he was prepared for the attack. Since it was a fist-sized beast, there was no need to use the blade skill.

Jeremy thought the self-created starlight thread concept was enough. He then stood in the open land so that he could fight openly.

Buzz!

The Red Botfly appeared within a hundred meters. The insect beast immediately saw its target. It spotted the weak human beast tamer.

Swoosh!

It immediately went charging towards the human beast tamer. The flapping of wings caused a high-pitched buzzing noise.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night circulated his starlight power. He covered his index finger with multiple wraps of starlight threads.

Buzz!

He saw that the insect beast was getting closer towards him.

His senses kicked in. He felt the movements around him become slow. He raised his hand and released the starlight thread.

The starlight power in his mental zone began to decrease.

Swoosh!

The starlight threads extended up to one meter. He immediately controlled them to form a small shield.

A shield made of a horizontal and vertical arrangement of starlight threads was formed. After the first layer was formed, it appeared like a net.

He then created a second, third, and fourth net. The total distance between him and the first layer of the net shield was 3 feet.

Swoosh!

The Red Botfly came with great force. The sound of its wings was creating a buzzing noise, but the sudden appearance of the net threads caught it off guard.

Pfff!

The Red Botfly directly collided into the net shield. The starlight threads were sharp; they directly cut through its body.

The first, second, third, and fourth nets sliced through the body. The fist-sized beast stopped before him.

He saw that Tier-5 insect beast frozen in mid-air. The next second, the body parts fell down to the ground one by one.

The Tier-5 Red Botfly was killed. When the head fell down to the ground, he retracted the threads. One by one, the threads wrapped around his finger.

He was able to use and retract them whenever he wanted. It was only when using the starlight blade and starlight bullets that there was some loss.

After collecting his thoughts, he looked at the stained ground before leaving. He didn’t change his course. He continued walking in the northeastern direction.

After crossing 500 meters, he came across a series of huge trees. He observed the place before going to a nearby tree.

He began to carve a small hole in the tree. It took him 15 minutes using the starlight blade. He then went inside the tree hole and covered the entrance with twigs and leaves.

He hadn’t expected to find the series of large trees so soon. He then closed his eyes to rest. The next morning, he would continue the journey.
