STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 1062: New Special Base Map

City A (4th Zone)

In the lab, the work was going on. It’s not that long to get the data from the device. Senior Dave began his work on separating the data into mapping data and video footage.

After separating them, he used his talent to visualise. He didn’t even watch the footage to do that. He even used the ability of the lifeline beast to get more mental strength to do it faster.

Outside,

Elder John and Jeremy were watching him do his work. They had solemn expressions on their faces.

From time to time, Stella woke up and checked the surroundings. She saw that Jeremy Night was sitting there, doing nothing.

She resumed her work of absorbing the natural energy from the surroundings. She felt the natural energy here was better than in the special base environment.

Time passed.

Dave took exactly one hour to finish his work. He was able to visualise it completely, including the outline and borders.

He then took out a blank sheet of paper and began to draw the map he had visualised. It was not the whole map of the special base wilderness.

He only visualised the information recorded in the mapping device.

Elder John raised his eyebrows in surprise. He didn’t expect such fast work.

"He is done with his work," John said with a smile.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night was taken aback. Before he could ask anything, he saw Elder John looking at him.

"You must be wondering about his talent," John said.

Jeremy nodded his head. He was indeed wondering about the person’s talent.

"He has an analysis and visualization talent. It has to do with brainwork," John said.

"His lifeline beast is also rare. It aids him with mental power," John added.

Hearing that, a storm raged in Jeremy Night’s heart. At first, the talent seemed not that powerful. It was not suited for combat.

But if the talent was used for the right purpose, then no one else could beat this person.

"Is he the only one in this field?" Jeremy asked.

John’s eyes flashed with approval. He saw how quickly Jeremy Night calmed his heart down.

"He is not the only one. There are many. But he runs his own company privately. We used to work with him. The Beast Taming Association and the Central University have their own labs," John said.

"But we cannot get their help. They have their own missions and work. So for people like us and City Governors, we need the help of private players," he added.

Jeremy nodded his head in understanding.

He said, "Then the talent of each person is different."

"Yes, there are differences in grades as well. For a Tier-7 Beast Tamer, Senior Dave is good. He also invented the device based on his talent. Others cannot get data from this device unless they have a similar talent," John said.

"I understand," Jeremy Night replied.

Inside the lab, Senior Dave finished drawing the map. Next, he proceeded to the markings.

The data included the footprints of corrupted beasts on the ground, located in the few green cover areas of the barren land.

He figured out that there were some natural oases in the barren land. It was a new breakthrough. He thought that the special base had succeeded in the mission.

Though the whole border was not mapped, the few places with oases could help them do the work in the future.

A few minutes later,

He was done with those markings. Next, he looked at the drawings again. He checked whether he had missed anything.

But he hadn’t. Next, he took out the previous map of the wilderness.

He began to compare them. From a single glance, he could tell that work was done in the southeastern direction.

He then copied the images of the two maps with the device. After that, he began the process of creating a new digital map on another device.

The device would use the details on both maps to print a new one. It took five minutes for the device to complete the process.

Next, the new printed map came out of the device. He saw the layers and borderlines. Then, he checked the markings.

A bright smile appeared on the old man’s face.

"It’s complete," he said.

Next, he turned on the big screen. The large monitor installed on the ceiling powered on. Then, he uploaded the old map and the new map.

The old map of the special base wilderness appeared on the left side. The new map of the special base wilderness appeared on the right side.

Both maps appeared on the screen.

Outside,

Elder John and Jeremy Night saw the maps on the big screen.

Jeremy Night was impressed. He saw that the new map was detailed. Some new details were even added to the map regarding the core area’s sunken land.

He had used that pathway to reach the southeastern border stretch. He saw lines added to the barren area. The lines depicted the terrain, indicating that it was barren.

He saw the marked information on the green cover and oases. He was genuinely surprised. Fortunately, he had turned off the device during his fight against the Hard Rock Worm and Gray Spider Beast.

John was smiling from ear to ear. He was expecting some new information, but he didn’t expect the results to exceed his expectations. He understood that Jeremy Night must have walked miles to explore new places.

It was not just a few miles into the unknown land.

"The young man must have walked 50 miles on foot. It’s already great work considering his strength. Even if a Tier-8 Elder did this, they would rate it as decent. But for Jeremy Night, one can only show high praise," Elder John evaluated in his heart.

"You didn’t disappoint us," Elder John commented.

"I was limited by my strength. If my Tier were higher, I would have gone further down to explore those places," Jeremy Night replied.

"You will get to do that in one of the top three zones soon," John said in a serious tone.

He was not joking. Such a talent wouldn’t be missed by the forces. Even a bottom-tier organization in the 3rd Zone would welcome Jeremy Night.

Jeremy Night was happy to hear that. He had been worried about leaving halfway through the mission, but he realised that he had done more than enough.
