Stripping For My Devil Ex Husband

Chapter 93: The Devil’s Ultimate Verdict

The heavy glass doors of Sterling Global HQ swung open, and an absolute, suffocating silence fell over the main lobby.

Anastasia stepped through the entrance, walking side by side with Damian Sterling. She was dressed in a sharp, tailored black suit, her long dark hair pulled back into a sleek, flawless low bun. There was no trace of the pale, timid girl who used to flinch at harsh words.

Her posture was straight, her dark eyes cold and unwavering as she walked through the corridor under the watchful, possessive presence of the city’s most feared CEO.

Nobody looked at her like a soft, easy target anymore. They looked at her like a lioness standing beside a king.

When she reached the marketing floor, her colleagues instantly stood up, whispering anxiously. Several team members rushed over, their faces pale with panic.

"Anastasia... what’s going on?" one of the senior strategists asked softly. "The market launch was an absolute disaster because Vance Enterprises stole the whole strategy. What is the company going to do?"

Ana paused, turning to face the team. Her expression remained completely cool, unbothered, and terrifyingly calm.

"Soon," Ana replied smoothly, "you will all get to know."

As she walked toward her private office, murmurs rippled through the cubicles.

"Did you hear about Mia? She was found dead in a motel last night..."

"God, Anastasia has been through hell... first her own family stabs her in the back, and now her co-worker gets murdered?"

Before the whispers could build, Clara stepped out of her office, catching Ana’s eye and gesturing silently for her to step inside. The moment the door clicked shut, Clara turned around, her face drained of all color, her hands trembling violently.

"Ana... please tell me the truth," Clara whispered, her voice shaking with sheer terror. "Did Vivian... did Vivian get Mia killed?"

Ana looked at Clara, her dark eyes steady and somber. "Yes. Vivian planned the entire thing."

Clara covered her mouth, a stifled sob escaping her throat as she sank onto the edge of her desk, tears brimming in her eyes.

"It’s my fault..." Clara choked out, her voice broken with suffocating guilt. "If I had just given a formal police statement against Vivian back then... when that man was sent to attack me in the alley... Vivian would be behind bars right now! Mia would still be alive! I was too cowardly to speak up, and now someone is dead because of me!"

Ana walked over, placing a gentle yet firm hand on Clara’s trembling shoulder.

"It’s not your fault, Clara," Ana spoke softly, her tone laced with a sudden, sharp determination. "And maybe... it’s not too late now."

Clara looked up, wiping her eyes as the unspoken words settled between them.

Meanwhile, on the top floor, the main boardroom felt like a slaughterhouse.

Damian sat at the head of the long glass table, lounging back in his leather chair, a glass of scotch resting casually between his fingers. He had strictly kept Anastasia out of this room... he had zero intention of letting her sit in the same air as the scumbags who had sold her.

Across the table sat Richard Vance and Mark Vance, sweating through their expensive suits, flanked by four top-tier defense attorneys.

"Let’s be reasonable here, Sterling," Richard’s lead attorney began, trying to maintain a posture of power. "If you take this to trial, things will get remarkably ugly. Anastasia will be dragged into public court. She’ll be subpoenaed, interrogated under oath fifty times, and torn apart on the stand by every tabloid in the country. A prolonged legal war will destroy her reputation."

The attorney leaned forward, offering a smug, confident smirk.

"We suggest a quiet settlement," he continued. "Vance Enterprises will return the product rights to Sterling Global, and we all walk away. You protect your fiancée’s mental state, and we avoid an unnecessary war."

Damian didn’t even blink. He slowly took a sip of his scotch, the silence stretching so long and heavy that the temperature in the room plummeted to coldness.

Then, Damian set his glass down with a soft, ominous clink.

"Are you done barking?" Damian purred, his baritone dropping into a low, predatory growl that made every attorney at the table freeze.

Damian nodded slightly. On his left, Julian... Sterling Global’s chief legal prosecutor... didn’t just hand over a file. He slammed a heavy steel briefcase onto the glass table with a deafening CRACK that made Mark Vance jump in his seat.

Sam popped the latches open, sliding high-resolution photographs of Mia’s bloody crime scene, the decrypted audio recordings, and a draft of an unsealed federal murder indictment across the polished wood.

"You think you’re bargaining for a civil settlement?" Sam spat, his eyes burning with savage contempt. "You arrogant, blind idiots. Miss Vance has already signed a sworn affidavit under complete state immunity. She isn’t your co-conspirator. She is the state’s star witness, backed by a mountain of blood-stained evidence."

Richard Vance’s face turned paper-white as he stared at the gruesome crime scene photos of Mia.

"This isn’t a negotiation," Damian spoke up softly, leaning forward over the table, his obsidian eyes locking onto Richard Vance like a predator holding a dying animal in its jaws. "I am not settling. I am erasing you."

Damian rested his hands on the table, his smile dripping with pure, unadulterated malice.

"By twelve o’clock today, the FBI will freeze every single bank account tied to Vance Enterprises," Damian purred coldly. "Your headquarters will be raided, your assets seized, and I will personally buy your bankrupt company for pennies on the dollar just to burn it to the ground."

Damian stood up, buttoning his suit jacket as he looked down at the trembling, speechless men.

"You threatened my wife’s peace," Damian whispered, his voice cutting through the quiet room like an executioner’s blade. "So I am taking your money, your freedom, and your legacy. Have your lawyers draft the total surrender of all your intellectual assets by noon... or get used to eating federal prison slop for the rest of your pathetic lives."

Across town, inside a lavish, secluded estate, Vivian Vance paced back and forth across the hardwood floor, clutching a glass of scotch. Her pristine mascara was slightly smudged, her eyes wide, manic, and bloodshot.

She had eliminated the threat. Mia was dead. The loose end was supposed to be erased, taking any digital footprint or confession straight to the grave.

So why was her stomach twisting into sick, suffocating knots?

The heavy double doors of the study flew open with a violent bang. Harrison Stark stormed in, his suit jacket disheveled, his face flushed with an absolute, terrifying rage.

"You foolish, arrogant girl!" Harrison roared, slamming his leather briefcase onto the glass table so hard it rattled the liquor bottles.

Vivian flinched, almost dropping her glass. "Father? What happened at Sterling Global? Did they accept the settlement terms? Did they back down?"

"Back down?!" Harrison snarled, stepping directly into her space, his shaking hand pointing a finger furiously at her nose. "Damian Sterling didn’t just reject the settlement... he tore them to pieces! They have everything, Vivian! Everything! And now they are coming for us!"

Vivian’s breath hitched in her throat, her chest heaving. "What are you talking about? Mia is gone! There is no proof..."

"Mia left a flash drive!" Harrison screamed, his voice cracking with pure desperation. "She hid a decrypted audio recording of your voice right before she died! The federal prosecutors have it, Anastasia signed a sworn affidavit under state immunity, and the FBI is preparing a capital murder indictment with your name written on it!"

The glass slipped from Vivian’s trembling fingers, shattering onto the floor, spilling amber liquid and ice everywhere. She stumbled back, her face draining of every last drop of color.

"No... no, that’s impossible," Vivian stammered, her voice frantic as she clawed at her own hair. "You... you have to use the firm’s lawyers, Father! You have to transfer the overseas funds, protect me..."

"I am not doing a damn thing for you!" Harrison cut her off coldly, his eyes dead and hollow as he looked at his own daughter.

Vivian froze, hyperventilating as she stared at him in horror. "Father...?"

"You brought a federal murder investigation to my doorstep!" Harrison hissed, stepping back toward the door. "Vance Enterprises is going bankrupt by noon, and I am saving whatever scraps of my life I have left. If the Feds come knocking on that door to arrest you for murder... you are on your own. Don’t you dare call my lawyers."

With a brutal slam of the door, Harrison walked away, leaving Vivian standing alone in the suffocating silence of the quiet room.

Her phone suddenly vibrated on the desk... a flash notification from the national news network.

BREAKING:Federal Authorities issue emergency warrants for Vance Enterprises following corporate espionage and murder investigation... Another culprit emerges in the investigation leading to Vivian Stark.

Vivian sank onto the floor amidst the shattered glass, her ragged gasps echoing through the empty room as the sirens began to wail softly in the far distance.
